"Boring!", Den snaps his fingers as he stops staring into the dark coloured pupil of the last 56th candidate's eye.

He stands back staring into the long chained prisoners , with their tied mouth , unconcious as they lie down with their backs on the wall.

Peeking into their memories with his magic , Den sighs in the dark room within his secret entrance , filled with fire torches on the sides of the wall accompanied by Aurther and Ruby.

"If they are not good , i could bring more for you , my lord!", Ruby requests as Den notices a young kid , around the age of 13 , with a stripped prisoners dress like that of the other.

Sitting next to the last unconscious inmate , with his teary angry sharp eyes and his teeth trying to bite off the rope tied to his mouth , he sits staring at the curious , awake unlike the others.

"What of this kid?!", Den asks moving towards him as Ruby replies , " As like the others , i found him as a prisoner ."

"You should've kill him , ending his miserable fate!", Aurther adds to the conversation as Ruby replies , " i know what i need to do , i did kill the Elites and the other onlookers but I've never been assigned to kill a child. I bought him to serve for us as a servant."

"I'll end him if you want me to , my lord!", Ruby asks as Den does not reply but grabs the throat of the kid and raises him up against the wall as the kid growls struggling as Den pulls him towards and asks ,"Look at me kid."

He obediently focuses his teary eyes breathing heavily as Den snaps his fingers and peeks into his memories.

As Den floats into an empty dark space , a series of screens appears everywhere showing a flash of memories. Like a 3D virtual reality movie where the movie has been sped up , Den notices a situation where the kid is beaten up in a cold dark room by an unidentified man who appeared shouting ," know your place kid , you dare shout at me for touching your mother!?". And as the man raises his fist to punch a child .He is caught by another view of the kid , bruised , wearing a shagged torn clothes , calling out for help in an Elite station only to find doors being shut at his face because he looked like a beggar.

A voice , humming a beautiful lullaby is heard as Den turns back and sees a view of the kids mother patting his forehead as tears falls off his closed , asleep eyes below an olive tree in a warm summer evening , both shaggy with a torned dress as bruises filled her face covered by her hair.

"Mommy!!", Den hears the kids voice as he looks afront of his memories , he notices the mother , died due to hunger and untended injuries , on a hard wooden bed in an abandoned home in a grassland as a huge city is seen with bulk walls and towers , with high buildings and fancy homes, in a faraway plains as Den murmurs with his closed eyes ," Central Abodia!".

As the view gets darker Den notices the kid in an alley killing an Elite soldier with a knife only to be found out by some onlookers who informs the nearby Elites.

"Pika!", a soft voice is heard , catching Dens attention , turning back again he finds a baby in the arms of a beautiful young maiden , smiling , despite of her ragged cloth , despite her bruised fingers and bony structure, despite the unknown father ." I'm so glad you came into this world ", She whispers with her tears filled with happiness and smiles of joy.

Suddenly everything goes dark as Den turns around hearing a loud scream as Den is unable to control the situation.

Den opens his eyes in the real world as he releases the kids neck and stumbles back mildly as Aurther grabs his back exclaiming ," My lord! Are you alright !", Ruby and Aurther is surprised to see the situation as the chained kid screams and cries on the dusty floor.

"This kid , he repelled my magic !", Den answers getting up with a cold stare at him as Aurther and Ruby awe in silence.

"How is this possible! He must be a spy and Elite spy!", Aurther guesses as he grabs Ruby's sword which was in her left hips and was about to kill the child as Den grabs his wrists stopping him replying ," no he isn't , i saw his memories !".

"Then how , my lord, did he do that!", Ruby asks as Den replies staring at the struggling and sobbing kid ," His will and determination is as strong as any of us here. Only the power equal to that of the opposing power can stop it." Den adds grinning as he stares at the kid and thinks ," I'm fading huh , my will and determination is being compared to this kid".

"You will train the kid personally Ruby! , he will be treated the same as us." Den adds walking back to the entrance as Ruby replies ," what if he resists? My lord?".

"Oh ,I doubt he will , " Den replies grinning followed by Aurther who asks ," what of the rest of the prisoners my lord?!",

Den stops and replies ," they are all the same ! Rapers , murderers , thieves , killers . Ruby , you choose them as you see fit , and the rest will be sacrifices."

He continues walking the dim path as Ruby replies ," yes my lord!".

Ugo emerges from the wall to lend Ruby a hand. As Den and Aurther vanishes , Ruby takes a look closer at the kid only to find him unconscious in his own tears.

"You choose the candidates yourself Ugo!" Ruby orders him as she picks up the kid in her arms.

"But but , lord Den....", Ugo replies stuttering as Ruby scolds him , " You came here to lend me a hand , do what i asked you to do. I have to take care of this kid as ordered by lord Den".

As Ruby was about to walk away with the kid , Ugo tries to escape by vanishing inside the wall only to find Ruby shouting at him , " don't you dare let me do all the works. I do most of the works as you only hide in this rocks. How easy it is only to guard the tunnels.!",
Ruby complains as Ugo comes back and stares at the unconscious inmates.

"I'll be back to see whom you've chosen Ugo. I'm gonna blame you if it isnt completed in time." Ruby walks away as Ugo, lazy, tired and clueless , tries to concentrate.
