Pure Ability

I spawned in slowly, after meeting those gods. They gave me their blessings and sent me down. I walked to see what this world has to offer, looking around at the wonders of the northern capital. Not everyone knew, but you can start in different capitals. Everyone usually just starts in the center of the continent, but I decided to start where the cold reaches your bones and makes them calcium popsicles.

I decided to immediately get the quest to become a Viking Berserker class. A class that is very similar to a regular berserker but with high resistance to cold and can even learn ice enchants later. A very good warrior class in my opinion.

But in order to get the class, you have to defeat a minor Ice Dragon. Only a party with of around 10 novices will be able to defeat it. So I must party with some random people. It looks like they are ready to go.

"Lilly, are you coming or not?"- the healer in making called out to me.
"Just a second!"- I yelled back.

Wolves. Silver hair, drooling, feisty, giant dogs. Savage wild beasts that only know "Eat or be Eaten". And I have to hunt them. Ten of them.

The greenery of the forest surrounds me as I walk in, for wolves can only be found in the forest, not the plains. The sparsely placed trees give plenty of room to maneuver while still being able to block out the sun. Dark forest green is really the only color I see around me, except for the scattered colored mushrooms that I see from time to time.

After a little while, I heard a growl behind me, two barks following it. I turn around to see 3 wolves, growling with their teeth bared, saliva dripping.
Their white canines, sharps and white, fur, silver as a coin, eyes, black as night. All of them looked similar except the one in the middle who had a single white strip of fur running from between his eyes, to his tail.

A dire wolf, a rookie killer, an animal mistakes constantly for regular wolves. I draw my sword and prepare to fight. If I'm going down, I'm going down swinging.

The first wolf jumped at me, mouth open wide trying to consume me. Inside stepped it and cut at its neck while it passed, successfully landing a critical hit. The wolf, now with blood dripping from his neck, had eyes filled with rage. The second wolf, seeing his comrade hurt, became angry too. The dire wolf, however, stayed back and watched calmly.

Me an the two wolves went back and forth between defending and attacking, with fight ending as me as the winner, gaining 3 levels after the wolves' deaths.

I turned to the dire wolf and readied my battle stance. My dull, slightly rusted, iron sword standing vertically in my right hand while my left hand is up in a guard position behind my blade. My left foot positioned in front of me, ready to move at any second. My right foot, behind me, ready to provide stability if I need to defend first.

The leaves slowly fell around me and the wolf. Him growling, me baring my own teeth. Our auras, like raging fires, trying to devour each other like fighting a forest fire with a fire bomb. The sound of silence, utter silence, was all that was heard from the forest.

We slowly started circling each other, not disturbing the silence. And then, as a random beach was snapped, we rushed at each other. Our spirits full and filled with the thirst for battle.

The wolf, the dire wolf, did not jump or me but charged for my ankles. I jumped over him and tried to slash at his back but he easily dodged. We continued clash at our highest speeds with each other, me hacking and slashing, him biting and clawing. Many times did we make cuts on our opponent, but neither one of us managed to hit a vital.

The battle continued for 30 more minutes and then the deciding factor came into play. The Dire Wolf, with slightly higher stamina left, knocked the sword out of my hand when head butting me. But I'd don't back down, no, not now!

At this moment, if auras were able to be seen, mine would look like a tall standing samurai fighting a werewolf. Even without a weapon, I ran at the wolf, putting my remaining power into my legs. Seeing this, the wolf ran at me too. Fierce determination burned in our eyes.

Right as about to clash, I activated my only attack skill, <Summoned Light Sword>, and as I ran into the wolf, my sword magically came into existence in my and stabbed the wolf a millimeter in front of me. His eyes said, "Clever", as they slowly dimmed. In his last moments, I swear I could see acceptance.

*Ding* "New race added to <Copy Race>, wolf. You will now be able to morph for 30 minutes. Warning: any longer will cause permanent effects and/or damage."

.......I slowly started to walk to find more wolves, picking up my sword along the way.
<!>
The sunrise of the week after my wolf quest welcomed me when I logged in. Since that quest, I've been doing more and more quests around town to raise my level more and more. Overall, I'm now level 31. But, even though I'm doing pretty good, I've hit a stump, not having a class. I still can't find one I like, just can't seem to find what suits me the best.

I was thinking deeply while walking to the weapons shop when a relatively old man called out to me, maybe in the late 50s age wise.

"Young man, what are you in such deep thoughtful about?"- This man, probably has a quest to give me. My fame, even higher from doing so many quests, probably attracted him.
"Ah sir, see I am still just a novice and have not found a path I want to journey on yet. Oh and, if you have something you need of me, I will help if I can do so."- I stated politely, respect your elders and all.

The man seemed to have become interested in me and waved me over. When I walked over to the broken down building he stood in front of, he started circling me, inspecting me from every angle. Hand on his chin, the skinny yet fit man was looking at me very closely, very closely. I kinda wish he would get on with it already, the reward is probably poor due to his shabby and slightly dirty yukata, which was all white except some faded golden embroidery.

"Mmm, Hmmmm. Alright, perfect!"- The man said as he clapped his hands. And then he started pushing me into the broken down building. Just what kinda quest is this? Or am I being taken by a pedophile?

The building on the inside, looked worse. Cobwebs, broken floor boards, holes in the walls, and other such things decorated the, or at least what I think it used to be, dojo. Yep, it looked like a really old broken down dojo, even the wooden equipment started to rot a little and it looks like there is only a couple of useable kendo-like swords.

The man, seemingly excited, went over to the wooden sword stand and picked up two wooden swords and handed one to me. Smooth hilt, unbroken, dulled blade, a healthy dark brown, and a perfect balance made this wooden sword. I was actually surprised by how good the quality is.

The man, standing at one side of the dojo, left side of coming from the entrance, directed me to the right sword. He stood in some sort of stance and readied his sword.

"Alright! So I want you to come at me with all you got! I want to see the full extent of your skill"- And he released what I can only describe as fighting spirit, bright, vibrant and gave off the 'battle maniac' feel. I.....can't underestimate this guy from the amount of fighting spirit he gave off.

I immediately readied my best stance and released my own fighting spirit, A flaming samurai becoming my aura's shape. Even though no one could see our aura's shapes, battle hardened people would be able to feel it and get this image in their minds, regular people could probably get a relative feel for it too.

"Ohoho, looks like I wasn't wrong about you to a degree, you are defiantly not an arrogant one"- the admiration that came from me recognizing him as formidable was shown clearly on his face. His aura, almost visible to me, become much more clear. A master swordsman, old and wise, was what I got from his aura.

"Now....Let's BEGIN!"- the man shouted as he rushed at me, and fast at that.

His first slash I barley managed to avoid but the his sword almost seem to bounce off thin air and come right back at me, in which I had to desperately block. Him on the offense, me on defense, my uphill battle started.

Strong was all I could think when fighting this man. Left, right, up, down, strait, behind, slashes from his sword came from everywhere. I knew I couldn't win, this man only seemed to be testing me and not going at full strength. But...but my pride...WOULD NOT LET ME BACK DOWN!

"UUUUUUURRRRRAAAAAHHHH"- I yelled, bringing out everything I could. The man, his admiration, started to fight harder as well.

We traded blows, I was fighting furiously, burning with strength, while the man fought calmly yet excited, like a sage finding something of great interest. And not only was I fighting off his attacks, I was also counter attacking, but I didn't hit him still.

I started to run out of stamina, I was fighting with all my might, but I still couldn't break through. Break through, I need to break through, get at least one hit in!

His and my sword clashed and we pushed each other back a couple of feet, or more like I was pushed back. I only had one shot at my attempt at my new plan.

Charging at him with any speed I had left, I did what could only be seen as a death charge of a warrior. And right as my sword hit his, I ducked, letting go of my sword, basically vanishing from sight. Spinning on the soles of my feat to get behind him, I surprised my self at my own skill. Immediately as I got behind him, I continued to spin but in the air, going for a flying revolving kick on the man's head.

Time seem to slow down as my foot got closer and closer, the glint in my eyes was saying 'It's over!' and right as my foot was about to make contact, the man blurred and I felt a sudden pain in my abdominal area, on my right side, and was sent flying towards the wall, the back wall, across from the entrance.

I knew it, he was holding back, probably not even bringing out half his power. Even if I didn't put 20 points into intelligence, which looking back, was kinda stupid, I would have never beat this man. I continued to contemplate my life's choices up until I hit the wall.

With a loud *THUD*, I hit the wall and fell down, air escaping my lungs. I got up in a sitting position, holding my side, and looked to the man. He was smiling, smiling like he found a new purpose in life.

"Not once, ever in my entire life, was someone able to get that close to hitting me with just pure physical ability and instinct. Even with magic, most people would never get that close. Granted, I only used 5% of my power till the end in which I had to use 15%, but you did good!"- he said while walking towards me with a amused smile.
"Only that little.....I got a lot more training to do..."- I said while picking my self up and started to walk out.

"Wait! Where might you going young man?"- he said while grabbing my shoulder.
"I failed right? The test you were giving me...."- I plainly stated.

".....AHAHAHA, who said you failed! On the contrary, you passed! Recognizing that you needed to bring out all your physical ability, that using magic would be an auto fail, and that you only had a chance at beating your opponent with an unconventional method, you noticed and acted upon all three!"- The man said while hitting my back. It kinda hurt.

"Ok so I passed...what ever this was, but what exactly was this for?"- I stared at him, trying to get answers.
"Right to the point huh? Well it's actually pretty simple, you are now my disciple!"

"Status has been updated, you are now 'The Sword Hero's (Arthur's) disciple."

".......HUUUUUHHHH!!!"- couldn't even fully describe my confusion.

Additional Information:
You are one that the Gods and Goddesses have taken a special interest in. Your stats may seem low, but they will increase exponentially over time. You are one of the two luckiest players in the game. Regarding Stat Points, as in Vitality and Intelligence, the ratios are: Stat point amount•100/2= HP/Mana. Intelligence is Mana, Vitality is HP. 10 Vitality= 500 HP, 20 Vitality= 1000 HP, etc. Same for Mana except with intelligence being the base stat (Intelligence also affects damage of magic).
