The eight of them each made their own separate portals, in hopes to find the Animal Spirit they're looking for.

"When you find them, meet up at Town Square," Vera said.

"Right!" the others said.

"Good luck you guys..."

The others nodded and they all jumped through their portals.

Finding Owlette

On the other side of Dylan's portal, he landed in Hemlock Park Woods. He walked along the trail, looking for Cecilia. Then, he saw leaves fall in front of him. He looked up and saw rustling in the canopy. He flew up and landed on a high branch. Then, Dylan heard hooting. He looked next to him and saw an owl. The owl turned to him and hoot at him. He smiled and hooted back at it.

"Hoo... to you, too." Dylan said with a smile.

The owl tilted its head and flew off deeper into the woods.

"You sure have a way of communicating with animals, don't you?" asked a voice next to him.

Dylan turned around and saw girl with brown hair, brown wings, and sharp claws, sitting cross legged next to him.

"Are... are you..." Dylan began.

"Yes, I am Cecilia, but others call me Owlette," she said.

"I'm Dylan, but others call me Ravenclaw. I've been looking for you,"

"I can tell. What is it that you need me for?"

"The Kilvas Clan is invading our world in search for remaining Animal Spirits. I've come to ask you if you'll fight along side my friends and I."

"This is my home, and I would do anything to protect it. Count me in."

Dylan smiled and nodded. He then made a portal to Town Square, and Owlette and Ravenclaw jumped through.

Finding Shellshocker

On the other side of Gabriel's portal, he landed in the rock pools of Beacon Beach. He walked along the rocks, looking for Tony. Then, Gabriel heard splashing. He looked over a big rock and saw a sea turtle, splashing in the rock pool.

"It looks stuck." Gabriel thought.

Gabriel hopped over the rock, and walked over to the turtle. He knealed down in front of it and stroked its smooth head.

"Don't worry, I'll get you out of here." Gabriel said.

He tried to lift it up, but it was way to heavy. Then, the turtle became much lighter than before. He looked over the sea turtle's shell, and saw a boy with fair, brown skin and was wearing nothing but green. He also had a shell on his back.

"Let me help." he said.

Gabriel blinked at him then nodded. They carefully carried the turtle back to the ocean, and it swam away when they reached the shore.

"Thanks for the help," Gabriel said.

"Anytime. Name's Tony, but my friends call me Shellshocker," Tony said.

"Gabriel, but my friends call me Wolfgang. I was actually looking for you."

"What do you need?"

"The Kilvas Clan is invading our world in search for the remaining Animal Spirits, and my friends and I are gathering as many of them as we can so they can fight with us. Think you can lend a hand?"

"If you mean lend a shell, then count me in!"

Gabriel smiled and made a portal to Town Square. The two of them looked at each other and nodded. Next second, they ran through the portal.

Finding Peregrine

On the other side of Susan's portal, she landed on a cliff, right on the edge. Susan looked all around, and saw nothing but a forest below and the wide blue sky above. Then, she saw something big dive into the forest. Susan quickly jumped off the cliff and flew down to the forest. She landed on the ground and looked around, but she saw nothing but big oak trees. Susan then heard screeching. She looked up and saw a big falcon perched on a high branch. She smiled at it and waved. To her surprise, it waved back. The falcon leaped off the branch, and stepped into the light. She soon saw a boy with black hair, navy wings, and a blue-gray and white suit.

"You must be Peregrine," Susan said.

"Indeed I am. But my real name is Tristan," he said.

"I'm Susan, but my friends call me Eagle-Eye."

"Now what is a pretty bird like you doing in Blacklock Forest?"

"I came looking for you. The Kilvas Clan is invading our world in search for the remaining Animal Spirits, and my other friends and I are looking for as many as we can so they can fight along side us. Think you can handle some action?"

"Are you kidding!? I haven't fought a Kilvas Clan minion in forever... You can count on me to lend a wing or two."

Susan nodded and turned to a great oak tree. She then made a portal to Town Square, and she and Tristan jumped through.

Finding Medusa

On the other side of April's portal, she landed in a swamp. The sound of frogs, birds, and other animals can be heard. As April was walking, looking for Rosemary, her foot got caught in some mud. She tried to pull it out, but the mud was really sticky. Then, she heard growling. She turned around, but saw nothing there, only a log in the marsh. April looked closer, and saw that the log was getting closer to her. Then, the answer hit her. It wasn't a log, it was an alligator. April struggled to get her foot out, but all of the struggling only made the situation worse. The alligator soon revealed itself and opened its mouth wide, showing all of its teeth. April closed her eyes and braced for impact, but nothing happened. She opened her eyes and saw a girl with two long snakes for her hair, a snake tail, and a green-gray, scaly unitard.

"Get back, you beast!" she cried.

She then started whipping the alligator back with her tail. It soon gave up, and swam away. She looked back at April and pulled her foot out.

"Thanks," April said.

"No problem. A lot of people get stuck around here," she said.

"You must be Rosemary."

"I sure am, but my friends call me Medusa."

"I'm April, but others call me Tigress. I actually came to find you."

"What is it?"

"The Kilvas Clan is invading our world in search for the remaining Animal Spirits, and I came to get you, so you can fight along side my friends and I. What do you say?"

"I say... let's go kick some Kilvas butt!"

April flashed a full grin and nodded. April then made a portal to Town Square. The girls nodded at each other and jumped through.

Finding Trixie

On the other side of Devan's portal, he landed in a neighboring town to Zenith City called Gallistoe.

"What would Briella be doing here?" Devan wondered.

As Devan was walking, looking for Briella, he heard the shattering of glass. He looked to the side and saw a guy robbing the local bank.

"Try and stop me!" he cried.

Devan ran after him at breakneck speed. In front of them was a train tunnel, but they weren't running on train tracks. Then, the robber smashed into the tunnel.

"What the...?" Devan asked.

Then, the tunnel disappeared, and revealed that it was a brick wall.

"Sorry about the marage, buddy." said a teasing voice.

Devan looked up, and saw a girl with orange and brown hair, fox ears, and a fox tail, sitting on the wall. She jumped down and grabbed the robber by the back of his shirt. She then handed him of to the police.

"Take him away, boys." she said.

"Thanks Trixie." said one of the officers.

When the officers walked away with the robber, she turned to Devan and smiled.

"I'm guessing you're Trixie, right?" Devan asked.

"The Master of Illusions, at your sevice. But you can call me Briella," she said.

"I'm Devan, but you can call me Scorpio."

"So, what's up?"

"The Kilvas Clan is invading our world to find the remaining Animal Spirits, and I came looking for you so you can fight with my friends and I against them."

"Say no more, Scorpio. I give you my word that I will fight on your side to save the Spirit Animals."

Devan smiled. He then made a portal to Town Square, and the two of them jumped through.

Finding Mariposa

On the other side of Indigo's portal, she landed in a field of flowers. Roses, daisys, sunflowers, violets, lilys, and so much more, far as the eye could see. As Indigo was looking for Taylor, among the flowers were butterflies, many colors and shades, from blue, red, green, pink, purple, yellow, orange, white, black, and so much more.

"This place sure is peaceful..." Indigo thought.

As she was walking, the butterflies were moving away from her. Then, she heard singing. It was like angle's. Then, she saw a girl with light copper skin, with a black, blue and white unitard, and big, beautiful, and colorful butterfly wings. When she was done singing, Indigo couldn't help but applaud. The girl turned around, and she turned pale.

"SPIDER!" she cried.

She then hid behind a rock. A sad expression was painted on Indigo's face. She quickly transformed into herself and walked up to the rock.

"Hey, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to fighten you," Indigo said in a calm voice.

"So... you're one of... them, too?" she asked.

"I am. I'm Indigo, but my friends call me Anansi."

"I'm Taylor, but others call me Mariposa."

Taylor came out from behind the rock and sat on it.

"You have such a lovely voice, Taylor," Indigo said.

"Really?" Taylor asked.

"Of course! It's like an angel's."

"Well... thank you. So, what are you doing here, Indigo?"

"I've come for you. The Kilvas Clan is invading our world in search for the remaining Animal Spirits, and my friends and I are gathering as many as we can. Think you can help us?"

"I don't want this field or my home destroyed... alright, count me in!"

Indigo nodded and turned back into Anansi. This time, Taylor didn't even flinch. Indigo then made a portal to Town Square, and the two girls jumped through.

Finding Sonic

On the other side of James' portal, he was in an old, abandoned mine. As James' walked along the old rails, looking for Zeke, he heard screeching. He looked around, but all he saw was darkness.

"I can light a small match, that way I can see better." he thought.

James picked up a stick and ran it against the wall. The stick caught fire, and it brightened up the whole tunnel. Then, he felt something land on his head. He touched it, and he felt fur. He looked up, and he was face-to-face with a bat. Instead of screaming and running away like most people do when they see a bat, James smiled and continued to pet the small creature.

"He really likes you." said a voice above him.

James looked up and held up the torch. He then saw a boy wearing black and gray, bat wings, bat ears, and he was hanging upside down.

"Hey man, what's up?" he joked.

"Don't you mean what's upside down?" James asked.

The boy laughed and jumped down.

"The name's Sonic, but my friends call me Zeke," he said.

"James is the name, and being Bearzilla and kicking Kilvas butt is my game," James said.

"Ha! I like you, James. So, what are you doing here in Ignis Mine?"

"The Kilvas Clan is invading our world in search for the remaining Animal Spirits, and I came here looking for a certain bat to see if he can lend a hand."

When James was done talking, Zeke disappeared. When he turned around, he was face-to-face with a smiling, upside down Zeke.

"I want to help protect these little guys, so you can believe that I'll go batty on the Kilvas." he said.

James smiled and nodded. He then made a portal to Town Square, and the two boys jumped through.

Finding Leo

On the other side of Vera's portal, she landed in a jungle. She looked around and saw many animals: butterflies, monkeys, tree frogs, lizards, snakes, and other creatures. The sounds of each animal made the whole jungle feel so lively. As Vera walked along the moss covered floor, looking for Garrett, she heard a twig snap. She turned around and saw a leopard. It growled at her, but Vera wasn't phased by it at all. Instead, she calmly walked up to the wild cat and stroked its black and gold head. The leopard calmed down and began to purr.

"Look at you... the cat tamer." said a voice behind her.

Vera turned around and saw a boy with fair, brown skin, warm orange dreads, a lion tail, ears, and markings all on his bare, upper body.

"You must be Garrett," Vera said.

"I am, but around these parts, I'm called Leo," he said.

"I'm Vera, but around my parts, I'm called Leopardess."

"I can see why."

Vera was still stoking the leopard's head. She placed a kiss on its nose, and the leopard climbed up a tree and disappeared in the canopy.

"So what is a classy cat like you doing in a place like this?" Garrett asked.

"I came looking for you. The Kilvas Clan is invading our world in search for the remaining Animal Spirits, and what better teammate than the King of the Jungle himself." Vera said.

"I like your valor... alright, I'll join you."

Vera nodded and turned to a great tree. She then made a portal to Town Square, and Leopardess and Leo jumped through. When they were on the other side, Vera saw her friends and the Animal Spirits they have found.

"Do you think this is going to work?" Zeke asked.

"It can and it will. We are Animal Spirits, everyone. We have the power of the Spirit Animals, and with them on our side, there's no way we can lose!" Vera cried.

"Vera's right. If we work together as one, we'll be able to take down the Kilvas Clan, no problem." Devan said.

Everyone nodded in agreement.

"I agree!" Taylor, Rosemary, and Garrett said.

"Count me in!" Zeke, Tony, and Briella said.

"Let's do it!" Cecelia and Tristan said.

Then, the earth began to shake. Buildings started crumbling down. People started panicking and running. The Animal Spirits looked up to the sky and saw a black and royal navy portal. Then, the Kilvas Clan started jumping out. They landed on the street and started pushing anyone in their way. One landed on the Town Square statue, and the Animalita saw that it was Mandrake, the dragon the fought not too long ago. He roared and the rest of the Kilvas Clan stopped.

"We are here to hunt, and kill every last Animal Spirit on earth... including them." Mandrake said, looking at the teens.

The rest of the Kilvas Clan looked at the sixteen Animal Spirits and the either growled, hissed, or roared at them.

"But it is not my call on what we should do with the Animalita. Leave the others to us, and our leader will handle the Animalita." Mandrake hissed.

"Leader...?" the teens thought.

Mandrake jumped off the statue, and then a big, black snake with snakes as hair slithered up on it.

"ALL HEIL OUR GREAT LEADER OF KILVAS... POLYTHEUS!" Mandrake roared.

Polytheus looked down upon the Animal Spirits and gave a devilish grin.
