Chapter 9

"That's the second one of my demons that has been taken to Notch!" Herobrine seethes. The remaining four demons, Khali, Justina, Wolfie, and Julie, don't meet his soulless gaze.

"I don't know what happened to her. She wasn't in the castle when we woke up, and we couldn't find her no matter how much we searched," Julie squeaks. Herobrine yells angrily and picks her up by the throat, bringing her up to his face.

"You didn't search hard enough! Those angels are winning over us! Why are you so useless?!"

He throws her to the ground and she gasps in pain, holding her throat and wrapping her wings around her body. Herobrine then turns to Wolfie in a blind rage.

"You couldn't sniff her out?! Is your nose broken?!"

He grabs the boy, and Wolfie whimpers.

"There was no scent to follow. I tried for hours!"

Herobrine shoves him backwards, and he lands on the ground next to his sister. Khali and Justina stand nervously, waiting to end up beside them.

"Justina, you couldn't track down the other Ender? Are you that worthless?!" Herobrine demands. She shakes her head quickly.

"He didn't leave the castle all day. I checked."

"Neither did their captain, the angel with the golden amulet. He didn't leave, not that I know of," Julie stammers from her spot on the ground.

"The only tracks we picked up was demon blood and a feather on the street. It belonged to Libby, I could tell by the scent," Wolfie explains, getting up from the floor. Julie gets up as well, but slower.

Herobrine sighs heavily and pinches the bridge of his nose.

"So she's dead or in the dungeon with Ann. That's what you're saying."

They all nod, and he picks up Wolfie. He turns into a wolf, and Herobrine carries him by the scruff of his neck.

"He's the first one to spend the night in the dungeon. Then we go in alphabetical order."

Julie's eyes widen and she flutters her wings. Justina's purple eye blazes brighter and Khali wrings her hands nervously.

The clang of cell bars echoes through the castle hall, and Herobrine returns to his throne without Wolfie.

The boy's whimpers can just be heard over the sound of the wind outside.
