Chapter 8
At dawn, Libby leaves Herobrine's castle by herself, determined to find an angel to kill. Her mind is so full of everything that's been going on that she doesn't see a white winged figure, Ian, flying towards her until they crash into each other. Libby groans as she lands on her back right in the middle of the street. Ian lands a small ways away.
"What the..." he begins. As soon as they see each other, their eyes widen.
"Angel," Libby mumbles.
"Demon," he growls.
Libby scrambles to her feet and pulls out her sword, but Ian's faster. He aims his bow at her head, and she slowly lowers her sword.
"You play dirty, archer," Libby smirks.
"You could say that," he replies. His bow remains poised and ready to fire.
"How about you give Ann back, and I'll let you live?" the demon asks. He shakes his head, laughing.
"It's funny, you try to threaten me, yet I'm the one with the bow pointed at your head."
"Touché."
The angel smirks.
"You aren't getting Ann back. She's our prisoner."
"You angels keep saying that! We aren't going to let her rot in your prison!" Libby exclaims.
"We aren't going to let her go, either. If we do that, she only continues to cause chaos," Ian says simply. Libby growls and whips out her sword, charging at him. He lets his arrow fly, and a blossom of blood appears on Libby's shoulder where she was impaled. She stumbles and falls to the ground, and the angel puts his bow down. She tries to move her arm, but yelps in pain as she does. Pain shoots through her arm like volts of electricity, and eventually passes out. Guilt fills Ian, and unable to resist, he picks her up and starts carrying her back to his castle for medical treatment.

"Mitch, I'm putting you on dungeon duty," Adam says.
"Fine," Mitch sighs in response. He heads down to the dungeon, where he hears soft humming. When Mitch turns the corner, he sees Ann slumped against the wall, tossing a rock to herself and humming some song.
"What are you singing?" the angel asks.
She jumps and drops the rock. She doesn't answer for a moment, then chuckles softly.
"Ironically enough, Tears of an Angel."
Mitch grins lightly and is about to say something when a door slams. Both angel and demon turn around to see Ian coming in, carrying a bloodied demon. An arrow is impaled in her shoulder, and she's completely unconscious.
"Libby?" Ann asks, worry filling her voice.
"She'll live. Where's Notch?" Ian demands.
"On his throne..." Mitch begins. "Quintana's the one with medical abilities, though."
"Yeah, but she's not in the castle. She's hunting. I would've asked Adam where Notch was, but he left too. Anyway, Notch can heal her just fine," he rambles. Ian leaves the dungeon abruptly, and Mitch looks over at Ann.
"I'll be right back."
