Chapter 10

"Notch, you have to heal her," Ian begs.

"This is what I needed you to do! Dispose of the demons before they kill more people," Notch replies.

"We weren't trained to kill, Notch!" Mitch retorts. "We were trained to save people. We're angels!"

"I know! But won't you be saving people if you get rid of the six existing demons?" Notch asks.

"Just save her. Please. We can put her in the dungeon and keep her there. Maybe we'd be able to turn them into angels, if you still have the strength to do that," Ian asks. "I won't be able to live with the guilt if I killed someone, even if they're a demon."

"The last time he changed a demon into an angel, he almost died. Just because Adam refused to let him go," Jerome mutters under his breath. The only people in the room at the moment are Mitch, Ian, Jerome, Notch, and Libby, who's still unconscious thanks to a drug Notch gave her.

"I remember. I believe we all do," Mitch says.

"I won't risk it again. I'm older than I was back then, and I don't know if I would have the strength. I'll heal her, but then she goes in the dungeon. And if we absolutely need to, she'll be executed. But I won't make that call unless she kills one of you," Notch says.

They all nod, and Notch pulls the arrow out of her shoulder, causing her to jolt violently. He quickly sets a healing spell over her and Ian carries her back to the dungeon.

"What do we do now? We have two demons locked up, and Herobrine is probably at the end of the line," Jerome asks. Notch sighs and drums his fingers on the arm of his throne.

"We keep fighting. Capture more demons. We keep the townspeople safe. If push comes to shove, we kill the demons."

The two boys nod, and the other four angels that were out hunting come back.

"Welcome back," Notch greets. They smile tiredly in response and head to their rooms. Notch watches Ty go, and his mind travels to the day he first met him.
