Chapter 13

A/N: I JUST WANNA cUddLE WITH SOMEONE LIKE DARYL
I feel awful.

Thank you for reading.

I turned my body around and all of a sudden an arm wrapped itself around my waist and pulled me in.

Daryl.

I totally had forgotten about yesterday night.

His arm got tighter and my face was now laying right below his chin. I was slightly confused since I had remembered him going to bed facing the opposite direction, but people toss and turn, so this must have been an accident.

I decided not to move and rest my eyes for a few more minutes. When I awoke the second time, Daryl still hadn't stirred. His arm was wrapped around me in the same spot and my head was still under his chin. I tilted my face up to get a better look at him.

His greasy hair covered half of his face and his forehead was covered in a thin layer of dirt. Even though he hadn't showered he was still somewhat attractive.

I snickered at my thoughts and told myself to shut up. I can't think about Daryl like that.

You can't like anyone during a time like this, whether it was romantically or not. I remembered when I had spent most of my time with a little girl I had found in a gas station when this whole thing started. Her dirty blonde hair and pale skin had made me think she was a walker and I had almost shot her. We spent two months together bonding and pretending there was nothing wrong, but that can get you killed. She got attacked by a walker when she went down to wash off at a stream we were camping near.

I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding in and looked back up at Daryl.

His eyes were open and he was staring down at me.

"Ye okay?" His voice was still groggy from waking up and I wanted to throw myself out the window due to how sexy his voice sounded.

'You're doing it again Vogue' I scolded myself.

"Yeah, I'm fine." As soon as I said that, the familiar taste of copper filled my mouth and I cringed. I must have been biting my lip while I was deep in thought.

Daryl frowned but removed his arm from me and sat up.

"You need a shower." I looked down to the side of the bed he was on, it was covered in dirt.

"Ugh, Daryl! Look at this," I extended my arm down and pointed at the sheets, "they were so clean! You didn't even bother to change your clothes, now I gotta go and find clean sheets." He put his hands up in surrender when I was done with my rant and stood up.

"Then I guess that's what I'll do." He walked out into the other room and I heard the door close.

I instantly wondered if he was mad at me. I hoped not.

I stomped over to my bag and changed into a different pair of clothes, then walked out the door.

T-dog was the only person in the hallway and he was walking toward the stairs.

"T-dog! Wait up!" His head snapped around and he smiled once he saw me.

"Hey Vogue, what's good?" He stuffed his hands in his pockets and continued walking once I had arrived by his side.

"I'm tired," I yawned in response and T-dog let out a chuckle, "what about you?"

"I'm making it."

We headed downstairs and found most people eating breakfast. It was so weird to see food other than squirrel or deer. The hotel was loaded with food and supplies so everyday we ate something different.

Glenn and Maggie sat at a table far from the group. Glenn's hand was intertwined with Maggie's and they sat there discussing something.

The rest of the group sat in the middle in the room. Everyone was there, except for Rick. Even Tia and Merle sat at the end of the table. I plopped myself down across from Tia and Merle, Carol instantly offered me food but I declined the offer.

"How did you sleep Tia?" I tried to make conversation since Tia sat in silence picking at her food.

"I should have slept well, but I didn't." She looked up for a moment and then continued to poke the oatmeal in her bowl.

I was about to say something else until Merle whistled out of no where. As Andrea walked by I knew exactly what he was whistling about.

Perv.

Tia took a deep breath and glanced at Merle, he was still checking Andrea out as she walked out the front door.

Tia took an opportunity to get back at Merle and she whistled at Daryl as soon as he walked by.

Daryl stopped walking and glanced towards Tia then at Merle. This had definitely caught Merle's attention because he got up from the table and left.

"Sorry Daryl, just needed to get back at Merle. No hard feelings?"

My stomach hurt as I tried to hold in my laughter but I couldn't contain it. I sat there laughing as hard as I could and ended up giving Tia a high-five.

"Rick an' I are going on a run, you comin'? He ignored Tia and waited for my answer.

"Yeah, sounds good. What exactly are we looking for though? We already have everything here?"

"Ammo." He muttered and walked off. Once Daryl was gone I turned towards Tia.

"Sorry about whistling at Daryl." I looked at her confused and she continued. "'Cause you guys are like together and all."

"No we're not."

"You sure? It sure seems like you guys are together." She paused and waited for me to say something but I remained silent.

"Haven't you seen him looking at you, even Merle notices." Her voice turned quiet but she shook her head and went on. "If you can't even notice that, then you must be blind."

I groaned at her accusation and decided to ask her some questions.

"What about you and Merle then?" To my surprise, she didn't show any emotion. I was expecting her face to turn red or for her to snap at me, but none of that happened.

"I don't know. There's nothing going on between us."

"That's bull. He like you, even Daryl notices." I said mimicking Tia.

"Ha. Ha."

"He cares about you, he stopped you when you tried to leave. If something ever happened I bet that man would be devastated." She simply shrugged her shoulders.

"Same for you and Daryl." She stood up and started to walk away but I stopped her.

"Wanna come with Rick, Daryl, and I on a run?"

She turned back and nodded, "Meet you out front in three minutes."

I stood up after Tia had walked away and headed outside.

Rick, Tia, and Daryl stood out front waiting for me.

"You ready guys?" The heat from the sun hit my face and I was surprised at how warm it was out.

We hopped into one of the cars. Daryl sat with me, wile Tia and Rick sat up front.

The ride took about five minutes and we finally came to a stop and I was glad that we were out of the car. No one had said anything and the whole trip and it was awkward.

We all stood in front of a shop. It looked huge from the front and I knew we had hit the jackpot if it wasn't already cleared out. I squinted my eyes up at the sign trying to read the words.

'Guns and Tobacco'

How classy.

Daryl knocked on the windows a few times and waited. A few walkers came up and Rick pushed open the door. Daryl's arrows pierced the walkers heads and they were down in an instant.

"Alright, go look for anything valuable, we'll meet back here."

We all split up and I took the aisles that were on the left side of the store.

Objects were knocked over making it hard for me to find anything. I found a few cases of ammo and one pistol.

So far I was doing alright, until I felt a hand trying and cover my mouth.

I screamed right before everything went black.
