As I finally get to the portal relm, a spot in our homeland Shangria, it is like the mortal relm but with well, us angels, it's a beautiful place. Our land has relms that lead to different places, they're isn't many around our city but they aren't far from our home since we are closest to them. I finally reach the mortal relm portal and put my hand up to look through it first, I see children playing and smile, I put my hand away and sit on my rock near the portal and take out my journal, as childish as it may be, I love journals, always have, they're so private and I always vent to my journal since I don't entirely have anyone else to vent to and would rather not bother my mom with my problems. I flip open to a clean page on my journal and begin to write,

"Dear Journal,

Hey, it's me May again, I decided to write before I go into the mortal relm instead of after, I hope today is a good day at work today and I don't run into no hidious demons trying to corrupt these poor innocent souls, I will write more when I come back."

I decided not to sign it since I knew I would come back to it when I got home from work, every angel/being here has a purpose and a job, mine? Mine is to make sure the humans go onto the right paths and to not get corrupted and to ward off all the demons I find away, it's normally not an easy task, but I always get the job done. I put my journal in my sack that is slung over my shoulder, it is brown and leather but has tiny pearls on the seams to make it pop. Once I brush myself off I put my hand on the portal surface and see noone is there, I take it off and quickly walk through it and sheild my eyes from the bright light from the portal. Once i'm through I look around at the beautifully green treees, grass, and the full flowers in bloom with the bee's buzzing and the birds humming "Spring" I thought as I smiled and took a deep breath of the fresh, crisp, clean spring air, from the looks of it it had just turn spring not too long ago. In Shangria seasons don't occur to us like they do on the planet "Earth" that the mortals live on. Humans can't see us unless they allow their third eye to, so most can't see angels nor demons unless they really focus, I walk through the forest and decide to sit I suddenly hear a scream coming from about a mile and jump up and zoom over as fast as my wings would carry me, they shine in the sunlight and sparkle like snow. I come to a little girl who's crying in the forest, I try to move my legs but can't she's surrounded by a group of demons, my eyes focuses on one of them, he seems like the leader of the group but gosh was he beautiful, they all had red tattered wings, but his were black, still tattered but black they all had dark red eyes, like dried blood after a scab was picked and the blood stained a piece of cloth, his eyes were Medallion with Butterscotch pupils, they looked almost like a caramel candy together, his hair was as black as the pure night sky and oh his lips were a shade of Barn Red. My heart started to beat fast as it began to get caught in my throat, I then snapped back into reality quickly and noticed they were closing in closer on the little girl, I quickly flew up and immediately flew down in the middle of them, infront of the girl, sheilding her with my snow white wings they all hissed at me except for one, him. I bared my teeth at them thinking it would do something, i'm an angel I have no fangs unlike them but still stood my ground and pulled out my knife, it's a "holy knife" blessed by a preist back at my homeland to help disinigrate demons, and they must have known because they all started to back up except for one, he was stocky but not much taller than me, he stared into my baby blue eyes with my light blue pupils my lips the same color as my mothers. He didn't seem to want to back down "Get away" I said with a half shakey breath "I don't get it, I've done this a number of times before, why do I feel so nervous now?" I took a slow breath in and out as I studied every one of them before looking back at the one who won't back down "Jax" I heard a firm voice say, he turns his head and so do I, it was him, I blink almost in surprise but still keep my guard up and the knife out "This one isn't kidding, she will use that knife, don't do anything reckless" the one known as Jax scoffed and said "Look at her, she's puny she won't do anything" he laughed, almost mocking me, I grit my teeth together "COME AT ME THEN IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME!" I suddenly blurt out, surprised by how loud that came out, I stood my ground and meant what I said, I wouldn't let this jackass mock me, never in a million years. The girl, still behind me sat and watched in fear but also now amazement at how confident I was. I scanned Jax and waited for him to make a move, when he was still talking to the one that caught my eye I turned to the little girl and smiled she looked up at me and smiled back and giggled a little "I won't let these smelly ol' demons hurt you, I promise" my eyes suddenly glow white and light circles surrounds me and they make an animal for her to distract her, it was a little bunny and she giggled and squealed in excitement then quickly changed expressions when she looked back up at me and said "LOOK OUT! -" without a second thought I snap my head and Jax was lunging at me, I quickly stab him but missed his heart, instead got near it, not near enough to kill him of course but enough that he screamed his demonic screech and stepped back in pain, I covered mine with my wings and the little girls ears with my hands, since she didn't like it either. He breathed heavily as black acidic blood dripped from his body into the ground "YOU BITCH" he screeched at me and tried to lunge for me but the one I had my eyes on stepped in front of me, Jax snarled at him "MARA WHAT THE FUCK MAN, LET ME AT HER SHE HURT ME, DO YOU NOT SEE THIS INJURY?!" "Mara huh? That's his name-" I thought to myself as I slowly backed up, and looked at my knife to see it had Jax's black acidic blood dripping from the tip of it onto the ground. Mara sighed and shook his head "Yes, I see the injury, but YOU did it, she was serious, I even told you, she's not like the other's, she WILL kill you" those last two words seem to strike Jax because his eyes suddenly went wide and slowly looked back at me as I still stood my ground waiting for another attempt to happen. "Go home Jax, take the others with you, I'll take care of her myself" Jax then didn't say another word nor argued but just nodded, took their little squad and went off. It was just me, the little girl, and him. I looked at the little girl "Go home, it could get messy, you're safe now" I smiled to her reassuringly as she scooped up her bunny and ran home, I made the bunny her spirit guide and right now it was just a baby but it'd grow into a beautiful beast one day, that was also my job and power. After they were out of my sight I quickly turned to Mara and looked him up and down, still in my fighting position, my legs began to hurt and wanted to give from standing like that for too long. He just stared at me, a light red color in his pale cheeks came across his face, he gave me a smile, a beautiful devilish smile, one that made my face hot, I smiled back and slowly stood up and into a normal position as he slowly walked up to me "Mara" he finally said while extending his arm for a handshake, I put my knife away after cleaning off the blood and shook his hand "May" when I said my name he flashed his caramel looking eyes at me and I could see them a lot better, I could tell the difference between the Medallion and Butterscotch colors, my face got more hot and he smirked, uh oh I think he noticed. "Nice to meet you May, hope to see you again sometime" he smiled at me and I swore in that moment my heart could have melted from him, as he flew off I held the hand he shook to my chest and walked back to the portal that led to home, I got home and layed in bed as I covered my bright red face with my pillow, gosh I feel like an idiot but he makes me feel that way.
