"Sis, we have a huge surprise for you!" Said Emily as soon as Liliana walked into the station. The redhead looked up at them as she hung up her coat and umbrella on the rack. "What is it you two?" She asked, walking towards them as her ivory colored dress swayed side to side, almost looking like a lily petal flowing through the breeze. The sound of her golden spool heels went through the air. "Just come with us!" Aisha told her, grabbing her hand and dragging her somewhere as she froze, tears threatening to spill out of her emerald eyes.
"S-Sixty?" She whispered, wondering if it was a cruel joke someone was playing on her. "Hey, Lily.. i apologize if I made you worry." Sixty said to her as the girls smirked. "We'll leave you both alone~" crooned the eldest sister as she and the second sister walked away, leaving the third angel and the android alone. "What do you have there behind your back?" She asked, tilting her head in confusion. The android blushed and presented her with a bouquet of snowy flowers; specifically, Lilium Auratum also known as 'the golden-rayed lily'.
She smiled, accepting the flowers. "These are beautiful, Sixty.. thank you. I'm going to put these up onto the empty vase to brighten my office up!" She said, her eyes shining like deep yet rich emeralds. "And.. Lily? I heard about what you said before.. I.. return your feelings." Liliana's eyes watered a little and she hugged him tightly, knowing that she can't break him by accident. "I love you too, Sixty.. so much." She said before kissing him on the cheek, leaving an imprint of her peach pink lipstick and walking away to go to her office.
Once she got to the frosted glass door of her office, she unlocked the door and went inside. Going over to an empty vase she kept, she placed the lilies she had been given and smiled before going to her desk and booting up her computer. Logging in, she began to organize some files before a notification popped up. Moving her mouse to the pop-up, she clicked on it and realized it was a email from one of her clients. Grabbing a piece of paper, she began writing down her client's name, address, and phone number. Putting the pen down, she began typing her client back, promising they would set up an questioning regarding her daughter's disappearance. She sent the email and picked up her paper, before she noticed she had more notifications from different clients. Sighing, she went back to her desk and making more files based on their information.
Once that was done, she carefully stacked them up and went over to where the copying machine was. Cradling the papers in one arm, she grabbed one from the stack she made and placed it inside. That continued until the last paper was done. She then got the freshly copied papers from the machine and proceeded to bring them all to Fowler's office. Knocking on the door, she called out to him in that sweet tone of hers. "Captain? I have the papers you asked for! May i please come in?" She asked him before she heard a gruff 'come on' from inside. Liliana opened the door and walked in as she knew to ask for permission before entering her boss's office. She placed the papers she copied on his desk and smiled. "Will that be all, sir?" She asked as she clasped her hands in front of her dress, a habit she had long ago.
"Thanks, Lily. You can go." He said as she walked out of his office. You see, Liliana and her sisters worked as secretaries for him. After she left his office and went into the break room to get her bottle of iced tea from the fridge. It was white jasmine tea, her favorite from long ago. As she retrieved it, she closed the door and went back to her own office. Unscrewing the lid, she took a small sip from the bottle and closed it using the very lid. She then heard her phone ring as she picked it up. "Hello?' She asked, smiling once she recognized Eloise's voice. "Hi, Eloise! Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for fixing up Sixty.. i don't know how i can ever thank you!" She told her as she smiled. "On the night of my day off, you want to hit a bar? Well.. ok, why not?" She said as she hung up.
Liliana then heard her watch beep. "Oh! Time for me to head home before the storm gets worse.." she mumbled underneath her breath. She turned off her computer and left her office, not forgetting to lock it. Retrieving her white raincoat and her yellow umbrella, she buttoned up the coat and as soon as she stepped out onto the rain, she opened her umbrella. She began walking to her home, not realizing she was being followed. After she reached her destination, she closed her umbrella and went inside, leaving the door unlocked. Unbuttoning her coat. She placed it on the rack as she let it join the umbrella.
Even as a small child, she could hear her mother's voice reminding her that she was far more prettier than any other plant on earth. She knew her mother was proud of Liliana's looks and only focused on that part of her, not her brains or her personality. Her father told her that her innocence was that of an angel's, completely untainted by the impurities of society. her grandma told her once when she was just 14 years old that if she showed weakness, they would eat her alive. Thankfully, that advice stuck with her even after death.
She sighed once more, thinking of Sixty, the android who had stolen her heart and plagued her mind without her consent. Was this what Aisha felt whenever she was alone? She smiled at the thoughts. She did wonder when Emily was going to tell Connor how she felt about him.
