Another S Club 8 parody fanfiction! This time, the credit belongs to moi!

So I had an S Club 8 fanfiction series, and I was the only one writing an actual series at the time, which was the mid-late 2000s. It was also my first foray into writing teen drama/romance. I wrote this during my late teen years and early 20s. By then, S Club 8 had already been defunct, and the fandom was slowly dying. It somewhat revived, thanks to the girl group, The Saturdays. 

This was the series title: S Club 8:The ShowStoppers. The title was inspired by a classic song, Showstopper by Danity Kane. Clearly a product of its time.

To sum up this series, it was absolute trash. I had everything plotted out in my head. I knew what the ending was, but I never finished writing this series. It was on a fan forum, and for several years, Wattpad. I did add newer material in my early 20s to make the plot slightly better, basically trying to salvage this work. I even tried completely rewriting this series with nothing but original characters, titled The HeadLines. I even went as far as to plan another complete overhaul for Nanowrimo in 2019. The original series is privated. Have been for a couple of years now.

Like I said, this series was absolute trash. There's no point of reviving it.

Anyway, this series was about two band that were part of the S Club Cinematic Universe, S Club 7 and S Club 8. S Club 7 was the more popular act, which was true. S Club 8 were localized, also true. So the latter group tried to overshadow the main band just to become an international act, like S Club 7. It worked, but at the cost of their reputations.

Like I said, trash. This was written during the height of celebrity gossip and invasive paparazzi. Another sign that it was a product of its time.

So what better way to temporarily bring it back than turning it into a parody? Since this was a series, I'm only using a few scenes that are relevant to The Anatomy of Alex Tredinnick. In The One Series Cinematic Universe, this series is called Connect8:The Stars. There was messy romance! Tons of DRAMA! 

Everything was copied and pasted from the original Word document. I'll put inline comments in areas that are problematic to remind ya'll that this work was clearly a product of its time (after this chapter is posted). I do take ownership of it all.

The Awakening

Alex arrived at the picnic tables where Sarah was sitting. She saw the bleeding wound on his forehead.

"OMG," she exclaimed, "what happened?"

"Raven threw a beach chair at me," he replied.

"Raven is here?"

"Yeah unfortunately."

Then Sarah put a gauze on the left corner of his forehead. (that was where he was bleeding.)

Alex's in pain, she thought, but I'll make a move on him, and I'll make want me instead of that Holly bitch.

First she rubbed a seedless cherry around her lip, she didn't get his attention. So she tried to rub his thigh, which made him a bit nervous.

"Eh, what are you doing?" Alex asked nervously.

Then she rubbed his back.

"I just think you're very hot," Sarah said in a sexy voice, which sounded like UTurn's Amanda's.

Now she's stroking his hair and rubbing his neck. Alex's sweating like crazy, she thought, time to make-out!

What is she doing? Alex thought. She has a boyfriend and I have a girlfriend, why is she flirting with me? Wait, why is she now Amanda?

Just then Amanda started kissing his neck and moved up to his face. But as she and Alex were about to make-out, Holly came running up to him, but Amanda was still there. Now they were both in a changing booth.

"What the hell are you doing?" Alex asked, getting irritated. "Why are you in a Connect8 fanfiction?"

"I...want...you," Amanda replied seductively.

"But I have Holly!"

"Alex baby, listen: No paparazzis, no gossips, no bystanders, no fans, no Connect8, no Holly!"

Then she grabbed him and started to make out with him. He tried to pull her off, but he was hypnotized by her kissing. He loved it, there was a rush going through his body.

OMG, Alex is such a good kisser! Amanda thought.

They stopped kissing, but Alex whispered in her ear, "Do it again!"

So the kissed again.

I'm loving this! he thought.

"More please!" Alex groaned seductively.

"No, not until you leave Holly," Amanda replied.

"Erm Caleb, can I talk to you privately at another table?" Alex asked him.

"Eh sure," he replied.

So they went to another table, one that's far away from the 8.

"So what do you wanna talk to me about?" Caleb asked.

"I know I'm dating Holly," Alex explained, "but I think I'm in love with someone else."

That made Caleb nervous, so he asked, "With who?"

"UTurn's Amanda."

"Wait, who?" Caleb asked in confusion.

"It's complicated."

"But how when you're dating Holly?

"W-We made-out," Alex stammered. "But please don't tell Holly or anyone else!"

"I won't, but why are telling me this?"

"I know we're just neutral friends, but I feel like I could trust you."

"That's deep, but just to remind you that we're friends and that's it!"

"Ugh, of course!"

The two guys laughed.
