PURPOSE: The Amity Aggregation is a secret organization made up of humans and mutants who believe that humans and mutants should live together in peace without making drastic decisions. They believe in a peaceful medium and think that both species should work together to build a better world, but they do believe in self-defense and will put up a fight against humans who despise them.

FOUNDER: Kalila Zaman also known as Guardian

HISTORY
The Amity Aggregation was founded by Kalila Zaman also known as Guardian. She was an Omega-level mutant with Empathy and Healing abilities. Kalila discovered her mutant abilities when she was very young. She was left by her father on the doorstep of a poor couple who took her in. When Kalila's foster father was coming down with an illness, she could physically feel his pain and emotions. When she touched his arm to comfort him, she was able to take away his pain, but only for a few moments. Kalila felt something changing inside of her. She knew that she wasn't normal, but she couldn't bare to bother her adoptive parents with her problems. They were already struggling with money and medical issues as it was. The sicker that her foster father became, the worse Kalila felt. Her foster father was diagnosed with Leukemia, leaving Kalila and her entire family heartbroken. Kalila began feeling the same way that her father was feeling, which made her foster parents worry that she had Leaukemia, too. They took her to the hospital to see what was wrong with her. The results came back normal. However, Kalila still showed the same symptoms as her foster father. They began treating her for Leaukemia for years.

It wasn't until Kalila's foster father passed away that Kalila realized what she was. She was a mutant with Empathy and Healing abilities. She had been unknowingly mimicking her foster father's illness all those years. Kalila kept it a secret from her foster parents. She learned how to control her powers in secret and lived a normal life. She met Asim Zaman (her future husband) in college. She decided to tell him that she was a mutant after they got to know each other and he promised that he would protect her. He was not opposed to having mutant children either. They later got married and had two children, a girl and then a boy. They named the girl Sarab and the boy Hamza. After witnissing her children be harassed for standing up for mutants and then seeing mutants rage war against humans in the news, Kalila knew that something had to be done.

When her entire family was caught and nearly killed during a protest, Kalila knew what she had to do. She and her her husband had discussed of building an organization that found a peaceful medium between humans and mutants. They wrote a book describing the process of building it and its purpose and kept the book in their library. They built a secret organization called the Amity Aggregation and convinced others who thought like them to join. Their secret headquarters were in Fulton County in Atlanta, Georgia, which was only a few miles from where Kalila's family lived. Only Kalila and Asim knew of this organization. The children were clueless. Mutants and humans alike began joining the Amity Aggregation. Just as they were ready to make their organization public, a traitor inside the group leaked information to the Sentinals who shut them down and arrested them. Kalila and Asim's children, who were clueless about the situation, were sent to live with their grandparents.

In order to be released, Kalila leaked all of the Amity Aggregation's intelligence to the Sentinals. Kalila and Asim were released and reunited with their children. Before Kalila and Asim could be legally punished for anything, the police officer who was supposed to determine their fate was mysteriously poisoned and the entire investigation died down. The family was never bothered again. A few years later, due to an incident at Sarab and Hamza's school, Sarab's mutant powers surfaced. She accidentally destroyed the school and the Sentinals took her parents away. She managed to escape with her brother and live on the run until she and her brother were rescued by the X-Men, becoming members. Shortly before chaos broke out, Sarab visited the X-Men library to learn more about the X-Men. In doing so, she found the book that contained information about the Amity Aggregation and decided to re-build it.

Sarab announced that she was going to rebuild the Amity Aggregation. She managed to find people who felt the same way that she did and they traveled to find the ashes of Amity Aggregation Headquarters in order to rebuild it. After rebuilding the Amity Aggregation, Sarab did more research on her family history and discovered where her powers came from. Motivated, she still works as a young activist today, fighting for her beliefs and trying to bring humans and mutants together.
