Years ago, three young orphans are hanging out near a playground. They speak about their dreams of being heroes.

Yahiko: When I grow up, I''m gonna be the best hero all around!

Konan: But how? You don't have a Quirk!

Yahiko: So what?! Who says you need a Quirk to become a hero?!

Nagato: All Might, Endeavor, Hawks, Crimson Riot.....

That listing didn't deter the 4 year old, but was annoyed by Nagato's teasing.

Yahiko: Good one Nagato.

Nagato:......Best Jeanist, Thirteen, Edgeshot, Gran Torino.....

Yahiko: Are you finished yet?

Nagato: I still have a ton of Pro Heroes to list Yahiko!

Yahiko: You guys are the worst!

Yahiko felt defeated as he folded his arms. Konan and Nagato began laughing. 

Konan: Oh c'mon Yahiko! We were only kidding! Of course you'll be best hero all around! Just be careful when doing so.

Yahiko: I'll be fine Konan!

As they speak, Yahiko notices something in the playground. He sees a Green Haired kid defending a crying child against a group of bullies. 

Yahiko: What's going on here? Isn't that Izuku Midoriya?

Nagato: Yeah. It looks like Bakugo and his group of minions are picking on someone. 

Yahiko: I'm gonna go help!

As Yahiko prepares to step in, Konan stopped him and tried to talk him out of it.

Konan: What do you think you're doing?

Yahiko: What do you think I'm doing?  I'm gonna give Izuku a hand!

Without hesitation, Yahiko walks over to Midoriya. While that happens, Midoriya confronts the bullies with tears. 

Midoriya: Why are you being so mean?! You're making him cry Kacchan! If you keep hurting him, I'll uh....I'll stop you myself! 

Bakugo: You really think you stand a chance without a Quirk?! Poor defenseless Deku!

Bakugo smacks his fists together, unleashing a small controlled explosion. Midoriya begins to quake in fear when Yahiko finally steps in. 

Yahiko: Hey! Leave them alone Bakugo!

Bakugo: You really want to help defenseless Deku too? A Quirkless loser like you?! 

Yahiko: You keep running your mouth and I'm gonna shut it for you!

Hearing Yahiko's bold words against Bakugo made him and his cronies laugh. This concerns Konan and Nagato greatly. 

Konan: Oh no! Why does Yahiko have to say these kinda things?

Nagato: Let's go help him.

As Konan and Nagato prepare to help them, Yahiko nods at them to keep them away. He wanted to do this himself. 

Bakugo: You serious?! I didn't think orphans were this stupid!

Yahiko: Why don't you say that to my face?!

Bakugo and his friends then proceeded to beat on both Yahiko and Midoriya, while the kid that Midoriya was helping ran off. Eventually, they were both bruised and bloodied by the beating. Bakugo then goes over to Yahiko and grab him by his shirt.

Bakugo: Think you can be a hero without a Quirk?! Don't make me laugh! You're about a delusional as Deku!

Yahiko then proceeds spit on Bakugo's face, angering Bakugo.

Bakugo: Stupid orphan! 

Bakugo and his friends prepare to beat on Yahiko some more, but Nagato uses his Quirk from the Deva Path to pull them away from Yahiko. Bakugo and the rest of the bullies look to see Nagato and Konan preparing to defend their friend.

Bakugo: Screw this! We're outta here! Have fun with the Quirkless losers!

Once the bullies leave, Konan rushes to Yahiko to check on him.

Konan: Yahiko! Are you okay?!

Yahiko: Y.....yeah! That was nothing! 

Yahiko slowly gets up and checks on Midoriya. He holds out his hand to help him up. Midoriya accepts and Yahiko helps him up.

Yahiko: You okay?

Midoriya: I....I think I am. T...t....thanks....

Yahiko: No problem! 

Midoriya: I'm sorry about what Kacchan said to you....

Yahiko: Don't apologize! You didn't say those things!

Nagato: But you did antagonize him. 

Yahiko glared at Nagato while he rolled his eyes. After doing so, Midoriya gives them an offer.

Midoriya: Would you guys like to come over to my house? My mom would love to have you! 

After a moment to think, the three orphans decided to accept and follow Midoriya to his home. His mother Inko invites the orphans in as she tends to her son. While she does so, the three orphans converse with each other.

Konan: Are you sure you're okay Yahiko?

Yahiko: You still worrying about that? I'm fine Konan! 

Soon, Inko called Yahiko over and he walks into the room where he sits on a counter while Inko patches him up.

Inko: Thank you for helping my son. It's so hard for him with Katsuki relentlessly bullying him.

Yahiko: No problem. I'm always glad to help.

Inko: Even with being Quirkless, Izuku never seems to falter in his dreams of being a hero like All Might. 

Yahiko: I understand how he feels. I'm the same way. 

Inko: Izuku told me that Katsuki said some horrible things to you. 

Yahiko: Nothing I've been called before Mrs. Midoriya! I'm lucky to have Nagato and Konan as friends. We're gonna be the best heroes in all of Japan! Midoriya too! We're gonna prove Bakugo and everybody else wrong! 

Inko: You remind me very much of Izuku. Anyway, I've done all I can do. You should be fine!

Yahiko: Thanks! Appreciate the check up!

Inko and Yahiko went back to the living room where Konan rushes to hug Yahiko. After she finishes hugging him, Inko lays out an offer for the orphans. 

Inko: Would you three like to stay over for dinner?

The orphans immediately accept. Inko makes a Katsudon dinner along with noodles and rice. Seeing that much food made the orphans feel like they reached heaven. Yahiko began to chow down on the food. Konan tries to reign him in.

Konan: Yahiko!

Yahiko: Oh c'mon Konan! How often do we get to eat such delicious food like this?!

After finishing dinner, the three orphans said their goodbyes and left for their rundown home. It was an abandoned housing complex that had served as the home for the three orphans. They all shared dreams of being heroes and wouldn't let their current situation stop them from achieving their dreams.
