As Nagato and Kakuzu left, Konan was left alone with a crazed Hidan who began to laugh. He pulls out his Triple Bladed Scythe and eyes her.

Hidan: Hey lady! Would you like to join the Way of Jashin?!

Konan: What exactly is that?

Hidan: It's an ideology where you can kill people and not get punished at all! In fact, it pleases Lord Jashin even more if you do just that! 

Konan was visibly disturbed by Hidan's casual tone when it came to killing people.

Hidan: It's a wonderful teaching isn't it?! Perhaps your boyfriend would be interested as well?

Konan: He's not my boyfriend! 

Hidan: Whatever you say lady! It's not like he'll be alive long enough to get that offer!

Konan: Nagato is not your concern, Your concern is me. 

Hearing that made Hidan laugh wildly and loudly. 

Hidan: I hate a lot of things, but the one thing I hate the most is blasphemy! I will punish you in the name of Jashin!

Hidan soon charged at Konan with his Triple Bladed Scythe and swings at her. But the blow cuts through her as her body collapses into a pile of paper.

Hidan: What the fuck?! WHERE ARE YOU?!

Konan: Above you.

Hidan turns around to see Konan flying with giant paper wings above him. She soon uses her wings to launch multitude of paper in rapid succession at Hidan, but simply annoys him.

Hidan: What was that supposed to do?! Give me a bad paper cut?! 

Konan: How's this for a paper cut? 

Konan then unleashes the Shikigami Dance and thrusts three paper spears into Hidan's chest. What would normally kill regular men, Hidan was annoyed.

Hidan: Ouch! Seriously that really hurt you bitch! 

Konan: So you really are immortal. 

Hidan then starts to swing his Scythe in a wild and frenzied rage, but Konan continues to dodge it. She soon traps him by wrapping his body in paper, restricting his movements.

Hidan: HEY WHAT GIVES?!

Hidan struggles to free himself, but doesn't work. 

Konan: (Now it's your turn Nagato. Please be careful.)

Meanwhile, Nagato and Kakuzu got on the top floor of the abandoned apartment complex. When they got their, they stared each other down.

Kakuzu: I hope you're partner can handle Hidan. He tends to be.....overzealous. 

Nagato: I trust Konan. But we have other business to attend to. 

Kakuzu: Try to make this fight memorable!

Kakuzu then launches his arm towards Nagato, but he simply uses the Almighty Push from the Deva Path to stop it's attack, impressing Kakuzu as he uses the black threads in his body to retract his hand back into his arm.

Kakuzu: That's quite a Quirk you have there. You just might be a challenge.

Nagato: I told you already Kakuzu, you will join the Akatsuki one way or another.

Kakuzu chuckles at Nagato's bold words.

Kakuzu: You're a bold one aren't you? But you talk too much!

Kakuzu then removes his cloak and Nagato sees the four masks attacked to his back. 

Kakuzu: These masks are the hearts of the men I've killed. And with their hearts, I am granted their Quirks with none of their weaknesses. You're not the only one with an impressive Quirk! 

Kakuzu then launches a fire attack from his right hand and a wind attack from his left hand at Nagato. As the room filled with smoke, Kakuzu chuckled.

Kakuzu: Too easy. 

As Kakuzu walked away, he's soon pulled by a mechanical arm and is lifted up and slammed to a wall. After that sneak attack, Kakuzu gets up to see Nagato turning his arm into a cannon and shoots a laser attack at Kakuzu, who tanks it.

Kakuzu: You're full of surprises. I wonder how much you're worth to someone. You must be worth a lot of money.

Nagato: Whatever nonexistent bounty is placed on me, you won't be cashing it Kakuzu. 

The Lightning Mask and Water Mask then detach from his back and took on the form of creatures made of the threads in his body.

Kakuzu: Now let's see what you can do now!

The Lightning Mask the shoots up to the ceiling and launches a lightning attack, but Nagato uses the Preta Path to absorb the lightning attack, surprising Kakuzu. The Water Mask begins to flood the room, but Nagato uses the Asura Path to create a flamethrower from his hand and uses it to boil the water.

Kakuzu: You are going to be challenging. But this isn't over yet! 

But as Kakuzu says that, Nagato charges at Kakuzu and uses the Naraka Path to suck some of Kakuzu's vitality. Kakuzu begins to feel the effects immediately. 

Kakuzu: What did you do to me?!

Nagato: Stole some of your vitality for my own. 

Kakuzu: If you think that's going to stop me, then you're mistaken! 

Nagato then uses the Deva Path to pull Kakuzu towards him and proceeds to punch him. He then uses the Almighty Push to launch Kakuzu to a wall. The Lightning and Water mask fly back into Kakuzu's back. Kakuzu gets up, clutching his side.

Nagato: You've lost Kakuzu. 

Kakuzu: So it would seem. It appears I underestimated you. 

Nagato: Now you join the Akatsuki. You and your partner. 

Kakuzu took a moment to think on his situation.

Kakuzu: Let's see what your....director has to say. I don't work for free. I expect substantial pay from this. 

Nagato: We'll arrange a deal that will satisfy both parties. 

Kakuzu: Before we go anywhere, I have a bounty to collect. Toxic Chainsaw is worth a lot of money and I'd rather deliver his corpse before it loses it's value. 

Nagato: Very well. We'll go back to Konan and Hidan to collect the body and deliver Toxic Chainsaw to whoever hired you.

Nagato and Kakuzu left the top floor to go back to where Konan and Hidan were to collect the body of Toxic Chainsaw.
