Weeks have passed since Yahiko was killed at the hands of Muscular. Nagato and Konan took the time to mourn the loss of their friend. But after those long few weeks, the two decide to continue on their work for the Hellsing Organization and ultimately work towards their dreams of becoming heroes as Yahiko would've wanted. They meet with Integra in her office to get their next mission.

Nagato: We're ready for our next mission?

Integra: Are you sure you two are ready to continue? After what happened with Yahiko.....

Konan: We're ready ma'am! Yahiko would've wanted us to continue.

Integra flashes a small smile on her face as she shows the two pictures of two men. One was a grey haired teen with a wide smile on his face. The other was a tan skinned man with eyes that had green irides, no pupils and red sclerae. His hair was long dark brown.

Integra: We have found two more candidates for the Akatsuki. Hidan and Kakuzu.

Nagato: Who are these men?

Integra: They're mercenaries known as the Zombie Duo.

Konan: The Zombie Duo?

Integra: They're called that because their Quirks give them immortality.

Hearing that surprised the two. They had never heard of Quirks that granted them immortality. 

Konan: Immortality? What kind of Quirks would give them immortality?

Integra: Hidan's Quirk is called Jashin's Curse. Kakuzu's is called Earth Grudge Fear. But any information on these Quirks are minimal at best. Your mission is to find these two and bring them here.

Nagato: I doubt they'll join willingly.

Integra: They're mercenaries. They're motivated by money. Convincing them should be easy. If it doesn't work, then you have permission to use force.

Konan: Where will we find them?

Integra: We believe these men are going after Toxic Chainsaw. All three were last seen at an abandoned apartment complex in Musutafu. Start their. 

Nagato: Understood. 

With their mission given, Nagato and Konan make their way to the apartment complex. Meanwhile, Hidan and Kakazu attack Toxic Chainsaw. Toxic Chainsaw then thrusts his chainsaw into Hidan's chest, but Hidan simply laughs maniacally. 

Toxic Chainsaw: What the fuck?!

Hidan: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! C'MON! IS THAT ALL YOU GOT?!

Kakuzu then attacks the villain with the Wind Heart to push him away from Hidan. Hidan then uses his blood to draw a symbol on the ground. 

Hidan: Hey Kakuzu! Stay out of this! I want this guy for my ritual!

Kakuzu: Whatever Hidan. Just make it quick!

Hidan begins to laugh as he swings his triple bladed scythe at Toxic Chainsaw, cutting his face. Hidan then takes the scythe and licks the blood, turning his skin into a Grim Reaper-like appearance, with black skin and white bone-like markings.

Hidan: Show me what you got!

Toxic Chainsaw: Time to cut you into pieces!

Toxic Chainsaw charges at Hidan, but he doesn't move as he slams his chainsaw for a grazing blow. Suddenly, Toxic Chainsaw feels intense pain as if grazed by a chainsaw. Hidan begins to laugh. 

Toxic Chainsaw: AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!! What.....what the fuck......is this......

Hidan: Did you enjoy that?! Did you enjoy the pain?! How about this?! 

Hidan then pulls out a retractable spear and stabs himself in the side, with the effects going to the villain. The villain screams in pain as Hidan continues to laugh. He then pulls the retractable spear out of himself.

Hidan: Finally! Now I can savor the pain caused by your death! I make this sacrifice to Lord Jashin! 

The crazed Hidan raises the spear and laughs manically. He then thrusts the spear into his heart, killing Toxic Chainsaw. Hidan then feels ecstasy after killing him.

Hidan: Yes......that's the stuff!

Kakuzu: Are you done yet Hidan? 

Hidan finds himself annoyed with his partner's impatience. 

Hidan: Just give me a minute will ya?! I'm taking in all the pain!

Kakuzu: In case you didn't know, we have a job to do.

Hidan: We're in no fucking rush! As you can see, he's dead! He's not going anywhere! 

As Hidan says that, Nagato and Konan appear in the apartment complex. Seeing the two heroes show up confused Hidan.

Hidan: Who the fuck are you two?! 

Nagato: My name is Nagato and this is Konan. We're from the Hellsing Organization. 

Hidan: And why should I care?!

Konan: We're here to recruit you. To join the Akatsuki.

Hearing that offer made Hidan laugh. Kakuzu however maintained eye contact with the three. 

Nagato: You're Kakuzu and Hidan. The team of mercenaries known as the Zombie Duo. 

Kakuzu: You've done your homework. I'm impressed.

Konan: Your Quirk is Earth Grudge Fear while Hidan's is called Jashin's Curse. 

Hidan: It's not a Quirk! It's an ideology! I serve Lord Jashin by offering up sacrifices! Looks like I'm gonna offer him another pair of sacrifices! Just my lucky day!

Before Hidan could attack, Kakuzu stopped him. 

Hidan: What the hell?! 

Kakuzu: They interest me. I want to know what they're offering. 

Nagato: Money won't be an issue. Come with us and our director will work out a deal for you. 

Kakuzu: You make a tempting offer. But I'm not just going to join any hero organization even if the pay is good.

Konan: What do you mean?

Kakuzu: Simple. You prove yourself to me that joining you would be worth my time. 

Kakuzu eyes Nagato.

Kakuzu: Why not show me what you got. I take you while Hidan takes your partner. 

Hidan: Why are you pairing me up with her?! Why are we even bothering with this?!

Kakuzu: I see an opportunity with this. And besides, if they're not worth our time, then we'll go about our business as usual. 

Nagato and Konan prepare themselves for whatever the Zombie Duo had in store for them. Kakuzu nods Nagato to follow him, leaving Konan alone with Hidan.
