For the past week Ash has been by my side constantly and I could not be happier, he has been alpha and luna to the pack, Father and mother to the children and I am sorry that my father could not see just how strong and special that he is and I am reminded that this is why the goddess picks our mate and not us.

I have met my father's true mate and have gotten to know him and his family, his wife was embarrassed to meet me, but I put her as ease, my father pick his path and walked it to the very end. His mate Frank said that he has always considered me a son and that he is sorry that they both kept this from me. Apparently the never rejected each other and have met off pack land for the past thirty or so years and even though he could not be marked he ''loved the bastard" his words not mine. And knows that he will die soon since he cannot be without him.

Yet another broken family on his conscience and the old goat isn't here! Any how its time to head to my office and be the Alpha I was born to be. As I opened the door I am greeted by my mate yelling at my Beta.

Ash: What the fuck do you mean that is has not been done?

Beta: Luna I can't without the Alpha's say so

Ash: Fine I will ask him as soon as he comes then, since you are not kind of fucking Beta to begin with the man is going through a tough period and I am only trying to get the patrols to step up and stop totally depending on my mates strength

I clear my throat to get their attention.

Me: Really Jer you need me to say yes to that

Jeremy (Beta): Alpha

Me: Ash is second Alpha to this pack so why the fuck would you think that you could disobey an order that was given?

Jer hangs his head and apologises to Ash. Ash accepts and allows him to leave, while focusing all his attention on me.

Ash: How are you feeling today love

Me: Better, I know that all that happened was a result of his choices but I still loved the bastard.

I replied sadly but without any tears since I have really accepted that to be true. Ash hugs and kisses me.

Ash: well I will leave you now to your work, The pile to the left has already been done the pile to the right I left for you to make the final decision even though my thoughts are in the margins and the pile in the middle is what I was currently working on.

He says and moves to leave for me to take my seat and start to work. I know that he is very busy and only got more so because of me so I let him leave. Sometimes I forget that he is a multi Billionaire and has an empire to run.

Better get down to work then.

Ash POV

I am so tired I have been going to sleep at around one every morning and getting up at five to start my day so that my family don't feel neglected and I still have all the work to do from my businesses and the running of this pack. I really glad that I can pass the pack back to Jake since his Beta and warriors don't respect me in the slightest, you would never guess from their behaviour that I was once a warrior in this pack and my ideas were listened to then but since I have become Luna, I have some how magically become dumb. And I would not dream of burdening Jake with this, he has enough to handle and with all the other packs requesting alliances due to the changes and their new found respect for my husband, its more work not only for him but me too.

I sit at my desk in the Luna's office and rub my hand over my face and drinking yet another cup of coffee, I've lost count of the amount I have drank for the morning already, when my PA comes in and hands me my files. I have been doing surveillance on a few pack members that were close to my dad and I know that that's how the rouges came in. These are ll warriors and the Beta who are all sworn to protect this pack.

This conspiracy runs deeper than I expected and with my satellite I have picked up my father and his pack. I have notified the packs closest to him and all I need to do is tell Jake.

Sighing I call him and he's on his way.

Ash: Babe, have a seat

Jake: you are sounding so formal, please just spill,

Me: my father's pack is close about two packs away, I have notified the Alphas and have also discovered some moles in this pack.

Jake: I knew it, my father still has supporters huh

Me; Yep and I don't think that you'll like who they are.

Jake: One of them is my Beta

He stated it so calmly.

Me: How do you know that?

Jake: He wanted a relationship with me but once he realised that it was not going to happen our relationship moved from close friends to professional and I sometimes wondered how far he would go for a perceived wrong. I guess that his turning point is when he found out that you were my mate and that I was in fact gay.

Me: you told him that you weren't gay to get him to leave you alone

Jake: yep! But he had a mate a sweet and submissive female omega. I never understood why he wanted to cheat on her with me.

Me: well I am just glad that you remained faithful all those years

Jake: I loved you then and love you much more now

We ended up having office sex because he a damn good mate. And there goes the last of my energy huh.... at least I'll get to rest after. And plans need to be formalised to deal with our problems in the pack and the threat that is my father.
