Athena Raine POV

I awoke up in my beautiful home. Joy filled my system as I leaped out of my bed.

It's my first official day in Beacon hills. It's my first official day at the Beacon Hills High School. I know high school isn't that exciting but it's my first day, new people, new everything. It really is indescribable how happy I am about having a fresh start.

Anyway, once I leaped out of my bed, I went over to my floor to ceiling window. I really am used to this sort of life, the life of lavishly.

I breathed out an excited sigh, as I looked over the forest which seemed to span over hundreds of miles.

This is now my life! And I couldn't be happier about it!

After a few more minutes of just staring at the greenery in front of me, I went over to the bathroom and opened the double doors.

I then just stood there.

It was absolutely humongous! A bath tub which looked like a jacuzzi, a shower which looked like it could fit about 8 people in it. Golds and whites just ravished this whole bathroom and to think, this is mine. All mine!

I let out a squeal before jumping into the shower (obviously I got undressed before I got in.).

After my quick shower, I went to my walk in wardrobe and looked for something to wear for school today. I have to make a good impression so I should wear something which will show off what type of person I am perfectly.

So, I quickly chucked on my black long sleeve top, my black skater skirt, my black converse and my blue denim jacket, as well as my black beanie.

I quickly jumped in front of the mirror and smirked. Absolutely perfect.

With that thought, I quickly grabbed my backpack and ran down the grand staircase. I really am not going to get used to this.

I looked at my phone to see if I had enough time to get breakfast. Nope.

I ran to the front door and on the way through, I grabbed the keys to lock the house and the keys for the car.

I locked the door and ran to my Ferrari. My Ferrari is matte black with black rims and pretty much everything else is black. If you don't know what a Ferrari is then all you need to know is that it's a sports car which looks stunning.

Ferrari's are expensive but I spent all my savings I had on it and my parents also pitched in a bit of money. It's my parents way of teaching me that money doesn't just get handed to you, you have to work hard to get it.

Anyway, I quickly put the car keys into the ignition and brought my baby to life. I pressed my foot down on the ignition and sped away.

Next stop; school.

Once I got to the school carpark, all eyes were on my car. I know she's gorgeous but there's no need to stare at my baby. I quickly patted my dashboard, "don't worry baby, their just jealous." I said reassuringly, however I think I was just trying to reassure myself.

Anyway, I pulled up next to this jeep which in all fairness didn't look that bad.

Whilst I was checking out the vehicle to my right, I didn't even realise that the people in the vehicle were staring at me.

Awkward!

I quickly looked away and got out of my car.

"Nice car." A boy said from the left hand side of my car. (Opposite me.).

"Thanks." I said unsure before looking at the car behind him, "is that a Porsche?" I asked.

It obviously was. In fact I'm not even sure why I even asked the question in the first place.

"Yeah. It's also mine." The guy said with a smirk which seemed devilish to me.

Don't you dare tango with Satan, Athena! My mind screamed on repeat.

"The names Jackson, Jackson Whittemore." The boy said with that same smirk gracing his face.

"Nice to meet you Jackson, my names Athena but everyone calls me Raine." I want to tango with the devil, oh so badly.

You know what; screw it! He's hot and I like him so why the hell not! It's time to tango with Satan.

"Why does everyone call you Raine?" Jackson asked with that same smirk. Does his expression ever change.

"It's my surname and it sounds way better than Athena." I explained.

Jackson looked at the roof of my car, "I think Athena sounds beautiful and that's exactly what I'm gonna call you by."

I rolled my eyes. If he's going to say it to get on my nerves then good luck because nothing bothers me, and if he thinks it will then he's definitely wrong. Athenas my name and I'm used to everyone saying it, I just prefer to be called Raine.

"Well thank you Jackson. Now would you be so kind as to show me where the reception is?" I asked curiously.

Jackson looked up from the roof of my car with a glint in his eye, "of course I would love to. I'd also like to show you more."

"I'd love to see more." I said giddily.

I can't wait to get to know Jackson more.

"Great, so I'm guessing you wouldn't mind coming to my game of lacrosse tomorrow." He said with that same smirk.

"Sure. Now will you be so kind as to show me where the reception is?" I asked for the second time.

Jackson started to walk towards me, "I'd love to."

Just before he got to my side of the car, a black muscle car came out of nowhere and nearly hit him.

"Goddamn it Hale! Watch where your going!" Jackson shouted at the car before coming over to me.

He wrapped his arm around my shoulder, "Come on Athena, we're going." He said before dragging me over towards the school.

Whilst walking, something wasn't right. Something about that car just wasn't right. I mean I couldn't even see the people inside it because of the tinted windows, which I'm pretty sure is illegal to have windows tinted that much.

I quickly wiped my mind with the thoughts only to have a loud growl to come from behind us.

I pulled myself closer to Jackson out of fear.

I've never actually seen a wolf before and that growl sounded like a wolf!

"Don't worry Athena. Wolves are common around here. A growl or two are usual to hear." Jackson reassured.

I quickly came to a halt, "wait! So hearing growls are the 'usual' around here!"

Jackson gave me a confused look, "yeah-" he said slowly, "Beacon Hills has loads of wolves in the woods."

Woods?! My house is right next to the woods.

I felt myself pale more and more as the daunting images came flying back to me.

"Are you okay Athena?" Jackson asked worried.

"Yeah I'm fine. Just some bad memories which involved wolves." I reassured.

Jackson gave me a worried glance before giving me a smile, "don't worry. If a wolf comes near you, I'll fight them off." He said whilst banging his fists down on his chest.

I let out a laugh. He sure knows how to make someone feel better.

Jackson then stepped closer, "you've got a beautiful smile."

I looked to the ground and felt my cheeks grow increasingly warmer.

"We should get to the office." I said whilst having my eyes glued to the ground.

Jackson's hand was placed underneath my chin  before he forced my face up off the ground to look at him.

"Your blush is cute." He whispered which made me blush even more.

Gosh! The things he says are beautiful.

Another growl sounded from where the first growl was, but this time I wasn't scared or even in the slightest frightened because I had Jackson with me.

"Now let's get you to the office." Jackson said before flinging his arm around my shoulder and directing me in the direction of the school.
