She now sat in between Paige and Meghan,

"He did what?" Paige asked.

At this moment, she did not give a rat's ass if they could hear them. "Yes, she is in there with him."

"He thinks it's a joke that he keeps playing you," Meghan replied.

"Honestly, I'm not even supposed to be mad. He did break up with me."

"It's okay to be upset," Paige replied.

"I initiated most of those conversations."

"What do you want to do now?" Meghan replied.

"I don't know. Kelsey asked if I could leave but Chase refused."

"I think he enjoys tormenting you," Paige replied.

"Right, he seems to be the possessive type, and on a power trip," Meghan replied.

"I just need to work on catching the person that is causing all of this. I don't want to stay with them or else I will lose my shit watching and hearing them."

"That's tough, maybe eating together won't be that bad," Paige replied.

"It is. We had dinner and it was awkward. Chase barely talks. Kelsey is strict, just a disaster."

Her friends listened to her as she vented, but they finally left and she walked back in. Chase and Kelsey had not heard her as they were swallowing each other's faces.

Storm went back outside and texted her friends to come back. When they did, she decided to lie and went out the gates with them.

She had told them that Chase had allowed her to walk with them halfway as he was covering the whole place.

Halfway through she waved her friends goodbye and when they had left, she ran as fast as her feet could take her.

The pain had been too much, and he did not care that she could come back and see them. When she got to the waterfall, her lungs screamed for air and she lay down.

"STORM! WHAT THE FUCK?"

She opened her eyes and realized she had fallen asleep. "What?"

"HOW CAN YOU BE SO RECKLESS TO LEAVE ON YOUR OWN?"

"I wanted to."

"DON'T BE STUPID, THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT TO GET YOU."

"So, that's my issue, not yours."

As Chase was about to respond, she got up and went past him, he grabbed her by the neck and forced her back to him.

"YOU DON'T WALK AWAY FROM ME!"

"I did, do your worst."

Chase looked her in the eye, properly, he was searching for something.

"WHY ARE YOU ACTING LIKE THIS?"

"Because I want to."

"You don't say what is wrong, so how is this supposed to be resolved?"

"I will have someone to watch me for twenty-four hours."

"I don't care."

She managed to pull out his grip and started to run, she could see that Chase was running after her, "This is stupid, Storm."

He caught her and they fell down together. Chase had made sure that he landed first so that he could protect her.

"What the fuck?"

As he got up and held out a hand for her to take but she ignored it and got up too, and the minute Chase had his guard down, she started to run again.

Where was she going?

Her thoughts were cut short the minute that Chase held her around her waist. His hand went to her elbow and started to drag her back.

"I can walk on my own."

"You can, but I don't want to play cat and mouse with you."

"I won't run."

"I don't care Storm, you're getting me worked up for no reason."

"Whatever."

"Kelsey is waiting for me and I can't sit you the whole time."

"I never asked you to."

"Clearly I have to."

They got back and Chase did not let go of her, and they got into the house.
