Autumn POV

"Have you heard that Alpha Gustavo is sleeping around behind the Luna's back with his old girlfriend?" I heard one of the girls whisper giggling as I walked past. I sighed and shook my head. I knew these rumors were not true. Yes, Gustavo had slept with Geraldine but I knew that wasn't what he had intended to do.

Every time he went to her house She would drug his drink with wolvesbane. Which is basically a date rape drug for werewolves. It also serves as a way to cause amnesia. Basically, you don't remember what you do while under its influence.

"I heard that he's going to strip her if the title of Luna if she doesn't get pregnant in the next month."

"Oooh who do you suppose he will make his new Luna?"

"Geraldine. Of course. Who else?

Upon hearing Geraldine's name my wolf let out a low growl. "If he thinks that he is going to strip me of my title and replace me with that wh*re! He's got another thing coming." My wolf snarled.

At this I rolled my eyes. "What are you five? Name calling is childish. Beside, what did you expect would happen?"

"I expected him to prove his love for us. Instead, he has done the exact opposite. He's been mating with that wh*re Geraldine for the past month. Aren't you tired of the lies? Of crying yourself to sleep at night? I know, I'm tired of it." My wolf replied.

Flashback to earlier that day

"I have a meeting to go to tonight. I don't expect you to wait up. I might not return until morning. One never knows how long these meetings will last." Gustavo says with a slight chuckle.

"Gustavo, please don't go."

"Then give me a reason to stay wife." Gustavo replies.

I closed my eyes communicating with my wolf. "Why must you continue to cause us pain? Submit to him."

"He has yet to prove worthy of our love."

"He's already proven his love to us by choosing us as his mate, what more do you want?"

"I want him to be faithful."

"Why should he be when your denying him the one thing he truly desires?" I reply and my wolf sighs.

"Well? Are you going to give me a reason to stay?" Gustavo's demands.

Despite my attempts to keep her at bay, my wolf momentarily took control . "You want a reason? Fine. I am tired of you dishonoring this relationship. If you walk out that door and go to that wh*re's bed one more time, I swear I will strip you of the title of Alpha faster then you can beat an eye. I will take over this pack as it's Alpha Luna and banish you from this land. Is that incentive enough for you?"

At this, Gustavo paused his eyes flash in anger. "How dare you threaten to over throw me! You talk about dishonor, yet you dishonor the title of Luna by refusing to submit to me! The choice has always been yours. The longer you refuse to submit to me, the more I will seek what I desire elsewhere."

"I have made my decision. If you will not submit to me then you are of no more use to me. I shall be holding a pack meeting tomorrow night where you will be stripped of the title of Luna. It will be given to one more worthy. One who can bear me an heir. Goodnight." Gustavo paused before finishing his sentence "wife."

Once he was gone I broke down into sobs. "Stop crying. He's not worth our tears."

"This is all your fault!" I reply bitterly.

"My fault?"

"You've refused to submit to him. To accept him as our mate since day one. You never gave him a chance."

"Because I want my true mate. It's not only cruel, but it's unfair that the moon goddess is punishing him for his father's actions." My wolf replies.

"You don't know that. I'm sure she has a good reason for not allowing him to meet us."

Moon goddess POV

I let out a low growl as I watched Gustavo once again returning to the house of his lover. He had broken his promise. He was continually breaking Autumn's heart and it was time to put an end to it. "Please do not cry child."

"Have I done something to displease you? Is that why you won't allow me to have a child?"

"You have done nothing wrong child. I am not punishing you."

"Then why can't I bear him a child? He's stop cheating on me if I gave him a child, I know he would. Please moon goddess I beg you, let me give him an heir."

At this, I heard I chuckle come from the moon goddess. "My dear, two things need to happen in order for you to bear him an heir. First, your wolf has accepted him
as her mate. Secondly, in order to have a pup you have to actually mate. Only then will you be able to become pregnant."

"I'm not withholding the privilege of being a mother from you. Your wolf's stubbornness to accept my decision is what is preventing you from getting pregnant."

"I'm sorry child, there is nothing that I can do. However, I can ensure you, that I grow tired of Gustavo playing games with your heart. I will admit that I was wrong in keeping your true mate from you. A mistake that I plan to rectify immediately."

Gustavo POV

"Oh Gustavo, I knew you'd come back to me." Geraldine said as she opened the door to her house.

"Is your mate home?" I asked looking around to make sure no one saw me.

"No. You assigned him extra patrol duty remember?"

"Oh right. I forgot."

"So, What brings you to my humble home Alpha?"

"Don't waste my time asking stupid questions. You know why I'm here." I reply irritatedly. Geraldine smirks at me.

"You want an heir and your Luna still hasn't conceived yet. I bet your starting to wonder if she even can. Are you regretting your choice to make her Luna now?"

At this, my wolf growls in irritation and I grab Geraldine by the throat. "Don't you EVER disrespect my Luna in my presence again!"

"Yes Alpha." Geraldine squeaks as I drop her to the floor. "So are we going to give you an heir tonight?"

Before I could answer my wolf replies "No. I don't care what Gustavo says or wants I will not be unfaithful to my wife. I love her."

"Then why are you here?" Geraldine replied with a frown. I pushed my hand through my hair and sighed in irritation.

"Honestly? I don't know. Gustavo made a mistake coming here. I should return home." With that, I gave Gustavo back control but as usual he was stubborn and refused to do as I wanted.

"Have some tea before you go?"

"Sure."

The next thing I know I woke up with a splitting headache. What had happened? Where was I? I looked around and realized I was in bed with Geraldine and we were in our birthday suits. Oh shiitake mushrooms! "What have you done!" I whispered to Gustavo.

"I have no clue what you are talking about. I've done nothing."

"Then why are we in bed with Geraldine in our birthday suits? Did you breed with her after We specifically agreed not too?" I demanded.

"Of course not. I promised that I wouldn't do that, and I haven't. At least, I don't think that I have... What was in that tea? My head is killing me." I groaned. Taking the cup I sniffed it.

"Wolfsbane." I whispered glaring over at Geraldine. My wolf snarled in anger causing Geraldine to wake up. She sighed in contentment.

"Last night was amazing. You were an animal. Are you ready for round too?" She asked with a giggle.

"What did you do to me?" I growled pushing my Gustavo to the recesses of my mind.

"We made love. Just like we use too, before you married that mate stealer."

At this, my eyes flashed in anger. "You drugged and you... You raped me."

At this, Geraldine's eyes sparkled in amusement and she laughed. "I did no such thing. You initiated the love making not me. Admit it, even You want an heir and Gustavo knows that I can give him one. You willingly slept with me and no one, not even your Luna would believe otherwise." Geraldine replies with a smirk.

"I aught to kill you!" I snarled at her.

"But you won't. I'm the only one who can give you what you want. I'm fairly certain, that after last nights events, it won't be too long before you have an heir."

"Now, let's talk about what you will give me in exchange for my silence. Unless you want the pack to know that I quote on quote "raped" you." Geraldine replied with a giggle.

"You dare to blackmail me?" I growled as I got dressed.

"Of course not. While we were love making you promised me that if I bear you an heir you'd make me your Luna."

"I have a Luna. Gustavo may not want to admit it, but the truth is, that he loves Autumn just as much as I do."

"Come now, we both know that Luna Autumn hasn't accepted you as her mate. If she had, she'd have given you an heir by now. Have the two of you even consummated your marriage?"

"Give me back control." Gustavo demanded.

"Why?"

"Because I want to have a word with Geraldine myself. If she thinks that I'm going to let her get away with r*ping us she has another thing coming."

"Very well."

"To answer your question that is none of your concern!"

"Let's not argue. Come back to bed. Please." Geraldine replied pleadingly.

Geraldine mate POV

I was patrolling the grounds when I felt as if a hundred knives were being stabbed into my body. What was going on? "Geraldine is betraying us!" My wolf howled in both anger and pain.

"No. Geraldine loves us she wouldn't do that to us." I replied refusing to believe it but what other explanation was there? My mate was being unfaithful to me. The question was with who was she being unfaithful?

Gustavo POV

"Will I see you again soon my love?" Geraldine asked with pleading eyes.

At this, I couldn't help but chuckle "so eager to please. Yes, I'll be back again soon. Tomorrow perhaps." Upon reaching home, I was shocked to find all of my stuff in boxes on the front yard. "What the hell? AUTUMN! What is this?"

At this, Autumn scoffed. "I would think it's obvious. I'm kicking you out of the house. I can't do this anymore. I can't bare being lied too, night after night. I know you went to her house again last night. Tell me Gustavo, do you enjoy causing me pain? Is that why you continue to return to your lover night after night?"

"I gave you my word that I would remain faithful to you. Why do you doubt me?"

"Oh I don't know, maybe because I can smell that witch's sent all over you. You slept with her didn't you?"

"I umm."

"Don't lie to me."

"Truthfully? I don't remember anything that's happened over the late few hours I swear. While I will admit, I did go to Geraldine's house. I told her I wasn't interested in having a s*xual relationship with her. In fact, Both my wolf and I felt guilty about having even gone over to her house."

"I told her that it was a mistake. I planned on leaving, but she offered me something to drink before I left. One minute, I was having tea the next thing I knew, I awoke next to her in her bed. I have no idea how that happened. I will admit, I was resentful of the fact that I knew that you don't love me."

"Maybe I didn't love you quite as often as I could have. And maybe I didn't treat you quite as good as I should have.If I made you feel second best Girl I'm sorry, I was blind. And maybe I didn't hold you all those lonely, lonely times. I guess I never told you I am so happy that you're mine."

"Little things I should have said and done
I just never took the time. I'm so sorry my love. I love you Autumn with all my heart. I always have. I'd never be unfaithful to you. I just wanted to make your wolf jealous. You have to believe me, I could never hurt you like that."

Autumn turns her face away to hide the tears. "Just get out." She reply's in barley a whisper.

"Please Autumn, give me another chance. Tell me that your sweet love hasn't died. Please, give me one more chance. The truth is that whenever I was with her, You were always on my mind.  I promise I'll prove to you that I can be the husband that you deserve."

"Until you can control your primal desires, you won't be able to keep that promise. Gustavo."

"May I talk to your wolf for a moment Autumn?"

"Fine. But know this, she's even angrier then I am. She's on the verge of declaring both you and your lover rouges."

"I understand." Autumn's eyes changed black signalizing that her wolf was taking control.

"I don't think that you do. Do you want to know why I refused to submit to you? I wanted you to show me that you married me  because you loved me."

"Not because marrying me gave you the title of Alpha. Yet, time and time again, you've proven that the only reason you married me was to gain the Alpha title."

"You've got to be kidding me. Did you forget that the Moon goddess herself chose to make Me this pack's Alpha? She gave me the choice of who I wanted for a Luna and I chose you. I could have chosen to give that position to Geraldine but I chose you. Shouldn't that have been proof enough?" Gustavo replies.

"If You truly loved me, you'd never even look at another woman with lust in your eyes. I see the way you look at other women. Especially Geraldine. Your gaze is always filled with lust. You've never once looked at me that way and it breaks my heart."

"Why? Because as much as I hate to to admit it  I do love you. I don't want to be hurt anymore. You want to know why I didn't accept your mark on our wedding night? Because I was afraid that you wouldn't remain loyal to me. To our vows."

"I knew that neither Autumn or I could handle the pain that courses through a mates body when his or her mate mates with someone else. Yet, despite not being fully mates, Autumn and I still feel the pain."

"I could only imagine how much more painful it would be if we were completely mated. I won't accept your mark until you promise me that these trips to Geraldine and other women's houses will stop. Please Gustavo, Autumn can't take anymore heartbreak."

Gustavo POV

Why was I always hurting Autumn? Somehow I would make it right. The first step was to call Geraldine's husband to my office. "Did You know that when the Moon goddess told me that I would be Alpha She told me that I could take Geraldine as my mate and my Luna but my wolf and I couldn't do that to Autumn."

"The Luna position was hers by birthright. It wouldn't have been right to take it from her. So I begged the Moon goddess for a solution. In her great wisdom she gave Geraldine to you. I'm glad that it was you old friend."

"While it may seem odd, I do care about Geraldine's happiness. I know she's been miserable because I've been working you so hard lately. I want you to go home. Take a few weeks off from patrolling. Spend some quality time with your wife."

"While I'm flattered Alpha I'd rather not. There have been too many sightings of rouges near our borders. There is also rumors of a vicious pack that's been attacking nearby pack's. We need to be on the look out for danger."

"Go home. At least for the weekend. I command it. You know I don't like having to use my Alpha command so please don't force me too."

"Very well." "That's odd. Why do you think the Alpha is so insistent that we go spend time with our no good cheating mate?"

I don't know but you heard him. It's an official Alpha command." The next few nights were spent in passionate love making. I almost forgot that she had cheated on me. Almost.

Geraldine POV

"Ugh!" I gagged as I threw up once more. I had been getting sick a lot lately. Perhaps it's time I go visit the pack doctor.

"Congratulations your pregnant." At this my husband growled in irritation and stormed out of the room. "Huh. That's odd. That's not the usual reaction we get from a soon to be father." The doctor said with a look of confusion on her face.

"It's fine. He's been stressed lately. He's had to do a lot of extra patrolling and it's starting to take a toll on him."

"Are you sure it's not because he's not the child's father?" The doctor replied and I frowned.

"Excuse me? I don't like what your insinuating."

"Come now Geraldine, rumor has it that our Luna is barren and that our Alpha has been seeking an alternative way to have an heir. Everyone knows that the Alpha has been spending a lot of time at your house. Are you quite certain that this child isn't his?"

"Shame on you doctor. You should know better then to listen to vicious gossip. It's common knowledge that you can't have a child with someone who isn't your mate." I replied.

"True. But, Gustavo was supposed to be your mate was he not? Who's to say you can't have a child with him?" The doctor replied with a wink.

"To answer your question no We were never supposed to be mates Doctor."

"Right, sure you weren't. By the way do you want the good news or the bad news?"

"If it will get you to stop talking nonsense then yes."

"The good news is that you are having twins. The bad news is that You're having twins."
