I felt my face heat with instant embarrassment, lowering my eyes I began to pick up the broken shards. Scooping up the pieces, and placing them onto the trey, I did my best to stay focused on the task.  Heat suddenly started running up my arm, looking down I saw the man's large hand gently wrapped around my forearm.  

"Are you alright there lass?" Green eyes asked with a deep Scottish brogue. At that I felt my belly do a little flutter. And as I looked up into his eyes, parts of my body began to tighten.

"Yes, I'm so sorry. I will clean this right up and then get to your order." Continuing to clean up I blushed even harder, as Green eyes began to pick up pieces with me. 

After gathering all the pieces I pulled a rag from my apron, I began to wipe up the floor. Finishing up I pickled up my trey standing, and yet again meeting his gaze. "Are you sure you're all right?" He asked me once again. 

Nodding my head I quickly spun on my heel, and walked briskly back into the kitchen. As soon as I was back into the safety of the kitchen I set the trey down, and leaned heavenly against the counter.  Garry looked over at me raising his brows. I just shook my head and sighed. Garry pushed a new plate of extra cheesy fries towards me. Looking up I smiled at him. Grabbing the plate I set it on a new trey. Taking a deep breath I made my way back into the dining room and to green eyes table. 

" I am so sorry about that mess here are some new fries." I said with a smile. "Thank you lass, are you sure your not hurt?" He asked me his smoldering green eyes looking me up and down from head to toe for any injuries. "Now I'm fine!" I said as I felt even more blood rush to my cheeks. "Can I get ya'll any thing else?" They all shook their heads no and with a smile I quickly made my way back into the kitchen. 

"Are you alright sugar?" Susie asked me as she walked out of her back office. "Yeah I just broke a plate I'm sorry Susie!" "Don't worry about it, did you clean it up?" She asked me coming over and grabbing my hands turning them over, and inspecting them for any cuts. "Yep, do you think I could head home a little early tonight? I know that Candy is working at Coffee Shop, so I have to let out Loki." I said. 

"Of course honey, I will let Jenny know. Just make sure to clock out and take some food with you!" Susie said with a smile her face crinkling and showing her smile lines but it only made her look sweeter. 

Turning around to Garry he already had a to go box waiting for me with a steaming hot cup of hot coco next to it.  "Thanks Garry!" He nodded at me, and I smiled grabbing the box and cup. Walking to the back lockers I took off my apron and stored it away in my locker. Grabbing my keys and jacket I walked out the back. Crossing the staff parking lot I unlocked my 2012 Jeep Wrangler.  She was an older girl and had some miles on her. But it had been my mamas. 

Climbing in I started her up, pulling out of the lot I got onto the highway and headed to my apartment. As I focused on driving green eyes kept popping up in my mind. Turning on the radio I tried to push him to the back of my mind.

After a few more minuets I got off the highway and down the rode a bit. Pulling up to my apartment complex, I parked Roxie in front of the apartment. Stepping out of the car I grabbed my bag. Locking it behind me I headed up the steps to my front door. Unlocking it quickly I dashed inside locking the door behind me. 

But before I can get to the kitchen I am attacked by a large furry creature.  Laughing I bent down and pet Loki. He was so excited shaking and barking at me. "Hey buddy, you hungry?" I asked taking my adorable golden retriever into the kitchen to get his food. Loki continued barking at me as I filled his dish with food. He didn't stop till I set his bowel down. Laughing softly as he gobbled down his food I went into my room to change. 

Pulling on a sweatshirt and sweatpants. I put my long blonde hair up into a bun. Then sitting at my desk I took some makeup wipes and cleaned away the makeup around my ocean blue eyes. As soon as my face is clean I head back into the kitchen. Loki finished his dinner and was now sitting on his bed in the corner of the kitchen. Walking over to the table I sat down and pulled out my grilled cheese from the box Garry gave me. 

Letting out a huge sigh I sat back and devoured the cheesy goodness.  As I finished my sandwich I drank the hot coco he left for me too.  Cleaning up my table, I looked down at Loki.

"You ready to go out boy?" I asked gabbing his leash off the hook. He jumped up quickly and raced over to the door jumping up and down happily. Hooking him up to the leash we made our way outside and to the back of the apartments where the wood line was. 

Walking up and down the path I waited for Loki to do his business. Watching the forest I noticed something large and black dash through the underbrush. Pulling Loki I backed up towards the apartments. 

Loki moved in front of me and began growling at the dark forest. Looking around as I was about to pull him back to the apartment a dark shape stepped out of the woods. Loki growled louder and barked at the shape. Squinting I watched as a large black wolf took shape from the shadows. Sucking in a breath I backed away pulling Loki with me. 

The wolf moved closer into the light and he was huge. Easily twice the size of Loki. I didn't even know wolves could get that big. I kept backing up until my back hit the wall of the apartment. But the wolf continued to come closer. Not making a single sound as it stepped up to Loki. He seemed to stare Loki down and I watched amazed as he calmed and backed up to my side sitting down. 

I stared at him baffled and frozen as the wolf moved even closer.  He was less then a foot from me, and I could see his deep sea green eyes. Standing completely frozen the wolf pushed his wet nose into my hand. His large head pressed into my side. Almost as if he was caressing me. My heart was pounding in my chest, as he continued to rub his face against my side. Sucking in a breath I tried to calm my racing heart. 

Looking down I inspect the wolf. He was absolutely huge and his entire body was black except for a small white patch on his back. I watched his face as he looked up at me. Starring into his eyes I was lost for a moment in their green depths. As soon as I starred into them I felt my entire body relax and all my fears dissipate. Unable to hold back any longer I reached out and stroked a hand through his long black mane. 

He let out a soft pur like sound as I starched behind his large fuzzy ear. "Your a good little wolfie, please don't eat me" I said with a harsh laugh. 

At my statement he looked up at me again and licked my arm letting his tongue laud outside his mouth his head turning to the side.  "What a good boy, I said with a smile as I patted his head." Alright boy I have to go now. I said as I stepped back from him and skirted along the edge of the apartments. As I began to walk back around the apartments with Loki I noticed him out of the corner of my eye following along behind us. 

As we reached the apartment steps and Loki and I made our way up, my wolf sat at the bottom of the steps. Watching me as I entered my apartment. Closing the door behind me I looked out the window and knew that my wolf would be waiting there for me all night.
