"Yes Al I'm sure we want you to come out for the wedding. Yes my Alpha knows you know. Thank you, ill text you the directions and hotel info. Yes Al I'm sure I did not drug her to say yes." , is the current conversation my Beta is having with a former Army buddy on the phone.

Apparently "Al" is a human who saved his but and dragged him to safety an in the process discovered our secret. Being his best friend she told no one the secret.

Jay my Beta, an his fiance went to visit Al after the most recent tour at a VA hospital a bit back an
ever since Al has been good friends with Jessie, the bride to be.

Now he was begging Al to come for the wedding. He wants me to meat, and honestly the human who saved my brother and has kept us a secret, is worth my time.

They've got guts that's certain.
"What you want proof. No im not gonna get a witness. Storm.", my brother says looking at me "Talk to Al and say I didn't drug Jess!" shoving his phone in my hands as I roll my eyes.

I put the phone to my ear as I hear slight laughing on the phone. "This is Storm, and yes he did drug her cause no one wants to marry that.", I say smirking as my brother sweat drops.

"I know right. That's what I told him. ", says a beautiful voice chuckling.

"Whoa the way Jay talks about you I thought you were a dude.", I say surprised.

" Ya that's Jay for ya doesn't wanna admit to getting beat up in basic by a girl.", she says laughing "But that's what happens with a androgynous name and no use of proper nouns. Plus you know all my army buds like to shorten it."

Her chuckle that follows is contagious as we laugh together as Jay whines.

"He's doing his pouty face ain't he.", she adds as i look at my brother moping.

" Yup, and scuffling his feet.", I add as we chuckle again.

"Well you can tell him to text me the info and I'll come. ", she says

"So put you down for yourself and?", I ask leaning on the counter.

" Just me, myself, and I. I'm currently unattached.", she says happily.

"Then i guess I'll save you a dance.", I suggest.

"What about Mrs. Alpha? Won't she be mad.", she teases.

"I'm still single so we're safe.", I say teasing.

" Cool sounds fun then.", she says chipper " By the way names Alexis Clark." as the name gives me tingles.

" I'll look forward to meeting you in person then.", I say grinning.

"Me too, guess I'll get packing.", she says "See ya soon Storm, hope your as cute as your voice sounds."

"Oh, trust me I'm much cuter than I sound. And I'll see you soon.", I say as we hang up.

I look over at my brother/beta whose jaw is hanging open.

"You flirted with Al! You never flirt!", he says as I sit at my desk again.

"I did, well guess I did.", I say with a smirk as I place my hands behind my head. It was kinda nice to have a normal chat with a girl for a change. One not affected by my title. Most girls just wanna be alpha female.

Bonding over teasing my brother, was interesting. She had a cute laugh, and her voice was amazing.

Alexis pov

Wow, Jay's brother Storm has a sexy voice. I bet he is cute. What are you thinking Alex. Once guys see your scar its a no go unless they think I'm easy. Then there's my ptsd.

Well he does seem nice though.
Although he's the first alpha I've ever met. Seems fun though.

I get to work packing my things in my hotel room I'm currently living in. Just clothes, toiletries, and electronics.

Soon I'm checked out and loaded up. And I'm getting ready to take the long drive to Montana.
Once there i can add it to my list of states I've been too.

It was gonna take me a few days but seeing my friend, and now meeting Storm's got me excited.
Maybe there's a town and i can find work an open my bar up out that way.

Things were hopeful and I was onto a new adventure. And who knows.

If nothin else I've made a new friend on the way.
