Chapter 6- Friday Part 1
Mikayla's P.O.V
"But you, my princess, are going on a date with me," Xavier smoothly answered.
"I didn't agree to this," I smiled at him.
"It was supposed to be a surprise. But I knew it wouldn't work out with your habit of questioning everything," he pointed out, playfully.
It was weird, but I felt like I was at home when I was at the Pack house. I felt like I belonged when I was will Xavier. This is one part of my life where is didn't have to worry about everything. I could just relax and enjoy the moment.
Then I remembered.
Alex.
"Xavier!"
"What?!" He jumped a little from me yelling at him.
"My little brother, Alex, is at home alone. He got dropped off nine hours ago! Oh my gosh, I'm such a terrible sister," I rubbed my temples with two ringers. Reality joined in on the party and slapped me in the face.
"It's okay, Princess. You can just ask someone to watch him, right?"
I sniffed, "I guess so...."
"Okay. Here's my phone." He handed me his phone and I started to enter Leila's phone number.
After two rings, she picked up.
"Hello?"
"Hey, it's me, Mikayla. I'm sorry for the short notice, but I need you to go and watch Alex for tonight. I'm really busy and Bob is out of town."
"Oh, that's fine. I'm just at home watching horror movies on Netflix."
"Oh, that's perfect. Alex is always begging me to watch horror movies with him."
"Good, because I was going to do it whether you were on board or not."
I laughed. Typical Leila.
"Well, thank you so much! I owe you big time."
"It's fine. I've done much worse to you."
"Yeeeah. Anyway, thank you! Bye Boo Thang!"
"Bye Honey Boo Boo Child!"
I hung up and gave the phone back to Xavier.
"So, you ready for our mystery date?" Xavier asked, excitedly.
"I guess," I answered, amused by his giddiness.
We loaded into his Firetruck Red Ferrari.
One of the hardest choices was choosing between his Ferrari and his Lamborghini.
In the car, I learned that Xavier was terrible at singing.
"SINCE IM THE PASSENGER, IM IN CHARGE OF THE RADIO!" I yelled four minutes into the car ride.
"ITS MY CAR SO I CONTROL THE RADIO!" He fought back.
"Xavier Liam Chase, I will fucking jump out of this car if you don't change the radio," I threatened.
"You wouldn't dare," he squinted his blue eyes at me.
"Oh yes I would, Xavier," I spit out his name.
He scanned my face to see if I was lying. There was no way he could get out of this situation.
"Fine," he gave in and focused on the road.
I clapped with joy and changed the radio to Teenagers by My Chemical Romance.
"This song is actually pretty good," Xavier confessed.
"Hey, I have good taste in music," I admitted.
I opened the glove box and found an unopened bag of gummy bears.
"I bet you didn't know that I'm a master at catching food in my mouth," I nudged Xavier lightly.
"Oh really?! I didn't know that I was in a car with a master food catcher! Can I please have your autograph?! Or better yet, A SELFIE?!" Xavier mock exclaimed.
"I'm not kidding. I am a pro. Watch this." I tossed a gummy bear up in the air and caught it without even trying.
"Wow. That really is something," Xavier mocked.
"You try! Since you think you're all tough, catch his gummy in your ugly-ass mouth," I challenged.
I threw it to him and he caught it with ease.
"Told you," He boasted.
"Show-off," I muttered as I put the gummy bears away and slid down into my seat, pouting.
He noticed my sadness and put his hand on my thigh as an effort to console me. Though I was trying to be mad, his hand was making my body go crazy.
"Come on, princess. Fine, I'm not as good as you and will never be as good as you."
Even with all my might, I couldn't stop myself. I burst out laughing. Xavier stared at me like I was a lunatic.
I kind of was.
I laughed for five minutes straight. I didn't even know why I was laughing.
I just felt happy.

"Are we there yet?" I asked for the fifteenth time in the last ten minutes.
We have been walking through the forest and I was scared shitless. The only thing keeping me from running back to the car in terror was Xavier's big hand laced with my smaller one. I felt safe and protected when I was with him.
"No, like I said about thirty seconds ago," though I was being really annoying, Xavier didn't show even the slightest bit of impatience or annoyance. Even though i was tired, I was really enjoying the time we were spending together. I could definitely feel the mate bond at work. Every second we spent together was like a brick in the building of our relationship.
"So, tell me more about mates."
"Well, your relationship is like no other. You feel happier and better when you're around them. You would do anything for them. Even die for them," he explained. I could hear a sense of happiness and love in his voice as he spoke. I have realized that Xavier has been getting sweeter and happier since we've spent time together.
"I don't think you would die for me. I mean, we do really like each other, but I don't think you would die for me."
Xavier let out a snort. "You have no idea. A werewolf would take a bullet for their mate the second they lay eyes on them. Time and love are two different things. They just compliment each other."
I had never thought of it like that. My feelings for Xavier are much more strong than I would admit right now.
Suddenly, Xavier stopped in front of a huge clearing. In the middle of the clearing was a huge oak tree. There were fireflies flying everywhere, aluminizing the midnight sky.
"This is beautiful," I stood with my mouth slightly open, staring at the area's beauty.
"Oh, it gets better, Princess." I always get butterflies when he calls me that. It's his cute nickname for me.
He leached our fingers together again and lead me to the oak tree. At the base of it, there were wood pieces nailed to the tree. They formed a crooked ladder. I looked at Xavier skeptically.
"Ladies first," he walked behind me. I started climbing up the tree, knowing that Xavier had a full view of my ass.
We reached a platform about halfway up the tree. There was a thick layer of blankets and pillows set up with a few lanterns. There was a basket on the blankets, giving me an idea of what this date is all about.
"When did you find time to do this?" I asked, dumbfounded.
"Let's just says, when you were locked in the room, I wasn't painting my toe nails.
We sat down on the blankets. In the basket, I found a bunch of candy and sodas. There were also sandwiches and little containers of ice cream. I rummaged through until I found chocolate. I took a spoon and started digging in. A few shovels in, I noticed Xavier staring at me in amusement.
"What?" I asked with my mouth full.
"I like girls who can eat," he commented before pulling out some ice cream for himself.
Xavier's P.O.V
I watched Mikayla chow down her ice cream. Even with a full mouth, she looked absolutely stunning.
"Stop," she said, snapping me from my trance.
"Stop what?" I laughed.
"Stop staring at me!" She pouted.
"Why?"
"I would like to know why you are staring at me," she countered.
"Because you're beautiful," I said.
Blood rushed to her cheeks, tinting them a light red. I love how I can make her blush like that.
"Well, since we're dropping bombs, I find you quite handsome also."
Aidan purred at that.
"Hey, don't think I forgot about that thing in the car. I have to prove my skills to you!" She set down her ice cream and started digging around the bag for toss-able candy.
She finally pulled out a bag of sour Skittles.
"Okay, let's play a game. I throw a skittle to you. And you must catch it in your mouth. Then you do the same to me. Whoever gets fifteen skittles first, wins. Thee rule is, no bad throws on purpose. If it is a bad throw, you lose a point," she explained.
I nod my head in approval.
"What does the winner get?" I ask.
"Um, the the person can do whatever to he other person. But not anything sexual."
A smile makes its way across my face.
"Well this will be fun," Aidan says.
"Definitely," I reply.
She throws a piece at me and I easily catch it in my mouth.
She shoots me a glare. I pick up a Skittle and throw it to her. It bounces off her nose and into her mouth.
She gives me a smug look.

"It should count if it lands in your nose!" I waved my hands around for affect.
"No! I didn't get a points when it bounced out of my mouth two times!!" He yelled back.
"Fine," I huff, "but I still win."
The last hour was filled with laughs, a whole lot of yelling, and eating.
"So, since you won, what shall you do to this sexy body of mine?" He asked with an exasperated sigh.
"I don't know. I didn't think I would win," I admitted.
"Well then I have a surprise for you," he stood up and took my hand.
We walked over to the edge of the platform where there was another huge branch. There was another ladder, leading higher up the tree.
"Come on," he started climbing up the branch.
When we were close to the top, he told me to close my eyes, so I did.
When we finally reached the top, Xavier took both my hands and pulled me onto yet and other platform.
"Keep them closed," he instructed as he led me a few feet forward.
He suddenly stopped.
"Okay, open them." I peeled my eyes open and was met with a beautiful surprise.
There was a huge glass dome with branches surrounding it, making it invisible to to people below it. There was a door at the bottom of the dome, obviously to get in.
"Woah. How is this is tree even big enough for this?" I asked in awe.
"It's been around for thousands of years. Nobody has every been here except me. I had it built when I was 16 for me and my mate to stay."
My heart ached at his words. He had this built for me.
"Shall we go inside?"
I giggled, "We shall."
We walked to the door where Xavier pulled out a key from his pocket. He unlocked the door and led me inside.
It was pitch black.
"This is nice," I said, trying not to seem like a bitch.
Xavier chuckled, "This isn't it, Princess."
He pressed a button on the glass, causing the glass to become great, not reflective. The stars filled the dome with natural light.
With the light I could see the two objects in the room.
A bed and a nightstand.
"Do you like it?" Xavier asked, hopeful.
"Do I like it? Of course! It's stunning!" I ran up to the glass and peered out. I finally realized how high up we were.
It was amazing.
I ran back to Xavier and hugged him tightly. He was stiff, so I started to awkwardly let go. But before he left my embrace, he pulled me back to his chest, this time even tighter.
"Thank you."
"Anything for you, Princess."
I pulled away and looked him in his bright blue eyes. I felt a deep longing for his love, which frightened me. Love wasn't supposed to move this fast. This isn't right.
But then I realized, this isn't just love, this is something more powerful. More amazing.
So I thought, "Fuck it."
Then I kissed him.
