??? POV

I was sitting in a tree observing that golden she-wolf. She looked somewhat familiar. No. Couldn't be. Layla was much smaller, yet I have never seen any other wolves with such golden fur that rivals the ore itself. And those eyes. Filled with power, just like Layla. Brown and then blue, then back again. No. Couldn't be Layla. This female has caught the attention of the young Alpha Natsu of fairytail, she cannot be that much older than he, even though she has a scar ridden body, like Layla. Except, that scar abov her left eye, isn't there, instead, it's larger and on the right. No. This was not Layla. Could it be possible that she had a daughter? Amazing. I was just a pup when the Great Layla of the Sabers betrayed us and left for a rouge pack. Alpha will be pleased to hear these news. He will probably use her undeniable beauty as a lure for the other males and force her to breed, creating more like her.

There was a legend of wolves like her. According to legend, there used to be different breeds of wolf, and each wolf that lives today that displays the main characteristics of each of those different breeds may be a descendent of the following:

Most are not descended from these different ancestors but , these following wolves were results of genetic mutations that were caused by unknown events. They passed down their genes when they interbred with either each other or common wolves. (A/N note: the 'epic' wolves existed so long ago, it's ok for descendants of one 'epic' to be together, because they're so distantly related. You know, YOU are related to everyone on earth? Yep we all have one common ancestor that lived thousands of years ago. So don't give ME crap about the whole incest problem with the story line. I really don't care. Just be greatful that I saved your time so you don't have to be grossed out because you think that an otp are cousins or something. LUPOLEOPARD OUT.)

Common wolves

What most wolves are. You may think that a certain wolf is a descendant of the 'epic' wolves, but they're probably not. Only if they possess ALL of the characteristics below.

Igneous: fire wolf

Characteristics: Large, good heat resistance, Red, black, orange, or pink fur, hot tempered, aggressive, protective, onyx eyes and apparently dense. 

Known descendants: Natsu, Romeo, Macow, Scorpio 

Other facts: igneous was often called flame, and had many children but not all had kids themselves, leaving fewer descendants than the others. He ended up settling down with Anna and living with her to the end of their days.

Ame: water wolf : 

Characteristics: Medium, water tight fur, blue,turquoise, purpleor green fur, calm but unpredictable, explosive tempers, blue, brown, green eyes.

Known decendants: Juvia, Buchas, Aquarius, Pisces, Pike, Cancer, Capricorn 

Other facts: she was known to be calm, yet have an explosive personality, very unpredictable. She was mated to a common wolf named Tide, and had most of her pups with him, even though she did have a few flings.

Terro: Earth wolf

Characteristics: Large medium  or tiny, Green, brown, black, blue, silver, gray,red or sandy fur, good balance, calm but unpredictable. Can be aggressive. Green, brown or red eyes.

Known Decendants: Erza, Gajeel, Levy, Freed, Cana, Gildarts, Evergreen, Libra, Loke, Virgo, Taurus, Libra

Other facts: He lived in the mountains, was rarely seen, but had multiple mates so most descendants are either related to him or Mist. He is rumoured to have had an affair with both Mist and Frostylia. Many believe it was because of him that Frostylia didn't have many pups. He died alone in the mountains, and some believe that his body became a mountain itself. 

Mist: Wind/ sky wolf

Characteristics: small or large, resistant to high altitudes, silver, gray, white, pink, blue or yellow pelts. Soft, calm and raging personalities. Blue, brown, pink, grey or white eyes.

Known decendants: Wendy, Porlyusica, Laxus, Mira, Lissana, Elfman, Gem, Mini, Sagittarius,Ares, Jellal 

Other facts: Rumoured to have had an unsuccessful affair with terro, was very calm, and rumoured to be Anna's sister. She was mated to many, but her permanent mate was a common male named Eagle. Most of her descendants came from him.

Frostylia: Ice wolf

Characteristics: medium, resistant to cold, silver, gray, white, black, blue or blue gray fur, not to be confused with Ame, cold personality's, gray, blue, or black eyes.

Known decendants: Gray, Lily, Bisca, Asuka, 

Other facts: very secretive, kept to herself. She is rumoured to have turned to ice, when she died, though no one knows. Some believe she was mated to a male named Perm, others say Perm was her son. Lots is unknown due to the fact she kept to herself.

Anna: Elemental 

Characteristics: Large, possess all of the advantages of the wolves above, golden fur, protective, aggressive, calm and nice. Also loyal. Brown eyes that switch to blue.

Known decendants: (only one family got ethe trait, always female and only one was born) Layla 

Other facts: Anna only ever had relationships with two, a common wolf, and Igneous. They didn't have any pups, but when they died, they died as permanent mates. Anna was the last to die, but when she did, she along with her  comrades turned into constellations, so they could watch their children forever. Those worthy descendants may one day join them in the stars.

I heard the laughter of that golden goddess as she and her friends giggled. 

"HEY LUCY! COME OVER HERE!" roared a tiny blue female. Must be Levy. The tiny decendant of Terro. So her name was Lucy huh? Alpha will be pleased.
