The day I realized I wanted to be a warrior is a day I'll never forget.

It all started when my mom told me about the greatest battle she's ever won.
She didn't want to go into specifics, she apparently didn't want to "infect my innocent mind", whatever that means.

Basically, she was kidnapped by someone she loved, and someone she despised. She had to escape with the help of my "uncle" Wilfred, a vampire.

She escaped, ran into some strangers that later became her friends, "aunt and uncle" Nessa and Noah. They brought her back home to dad, aunt Angie and "aunt" Aria. The evil lady that kidnapped her came back, they battled, and mom won.

Ever since she told me that story, I've wanted to be a warrior. Plus, it sounds so cool and totally bad-a.

When I told my mom and dad what I wanted to be, they nearly had a heart attack. They said being a warrior "wasn't ladylike" and I could get hurt. Then, I brought up the point that Aria is a warrior.

They still went on and on about how I was the Alpha's daughter and couldn't do something that dangerous. Then, they offered the jobs where I could be a cook, a designer, unemployed, or pup watcher.

All these are bad ideas because A) I burnt a pot of WATER before B) I'm awful at designing, I've been told I have a bad sense of style, C) just no. I have to do something or else I feel useless. And lastly, D) I'm not a big fan of pups. I mean I'm not a monster, I don't hate them, I just prefer to not interact with them.

In short, I have my heart set on being a warrior.

I'm also wicked strong, that's the only good part of being the Alpha's daughter. I have Alpha blood in me resulting in me being mega strong.

I aimlessly wander around the pack house, with no destination in mind. I end up in the training ground. I see the beginner class training. I scoff at their weakness.

I walk right up to the class, standing next to the assistant teacher, who just so happens to be my best friend, Axel. Were all about unique names here.

"What's up Em?" Axel shouts unnecessarily. I roll my eyes at his loudness. He's still in training mode.

"Thought you could use some help," I offer him a small smile. He nods his head. The head teacher rarely shows up, aka my dad. Once Axel is done with training, he'll be the head trainer. I mean, he's pretty much already head trainer, because dad never shows up.

"Yeah, totally!" He smiles at me. He suddenly turns away and blows his whistle.
"Henry! What did I tell you about picking flowers?! Get up and start doing jumping jacks! Now!"

I jump back at his harshness. He's going to be a great teacher.

"Alright, class," I yell, everyone straightens up. I smirk.
"Find a partner and work on your defensive stance! Except you Henry, you get to keep doing jumping jacks!"

Everyone finds a partner and shifts. I see a few basic looking coats, but there's a few unique ones. Near the back, I see a gorgeous midnight black coat of a wolf, but only for a second because they disappeared into the trees the second my eyes land on them. Strange.

I watch the class, cringing. They suck.

"No, no, no! You're doing it all wrong!" I yell, stopping them. I shift suddenly and motion for Axel to, as well. He rolls his eyes and shifts into his basic brown wolf.

My wolf is huge, black and gray, and intimidating. I didn't inherit any of my mom's colors, but I got my dad's. My brother, Everest, got my mom's golden coat, with grey hints.

I turn towards Axel and I get low, growling. I feel my eyes shift into my "scary" eyes, as Axel likes to call it. He gets down too, eyes not quite changing like mine.

My claws sink into the coarse dirt, pulling some of the earth with it. Axel copies my movement. I inwardly roll my eyes at him.

We get back up and smile.

"And that, kids, is how you do it."

AHHHHHH! I can't believe its finally the sequel! I'm literally shocked. It feels like only yesterday I had just thought of The Alpha's Mate. *wipes away a single tear*
