Lexi

I wake up to bright lights and someone holding my right hand and snoring.

I look over to my right and see a strange man with long blonde hair leaned on the bed sleeping.

With his hand around mine I feel sparks. Wait..sparks? You only feel those after you find your mate.

I look and see that I was asleep for 2 days. I missed my birthday yesterday. That's ok. Not like anybody but Alexander, my twin, would care.

'I do care!' A voice says in my head.

'Who are you!?' I ask.

'Oops sorry I'm your wolf Lainey' She giggles as she says it.

'Hi Lainey I'm Lexi'

'I know silly. But isn't that guy hot!? Oh and he's our mate!'

The man next to me starts to wake up. He looks up into my eyes and his eyes light up. "Hey my little mate."

I look at him carefully. "Hi."

I see his eyes dim a little but its quickly covered when he smiles and reaches out to touch my face.

I flinch and back away afraid he would hit me and he frowns.

"I'm not going to hurt you little mate."

I think to myself, that's what they all say before they do.

He growls. "Who else hurt you!?"

I whimper a little and stutter, "M-my d-dad."

His face softens and his hand cups my right cheek. "I will never hit you or be rude."

Alec's p.o.v.

Jace my wolf was trying so hard to come out and go kill anyone who hurt our mate, but one look at her face and her stuttery whimpery voice had us both soften.

Goddess, I think to myself, I sound like suck a girl.

"...name?" She asks.

"What?" I ask snapping away from me and Jace's thoughts and smile a half smile at Lexi.

"What's your name?" She blushes a little.

I smirk a bit. "Alec. Alec Winter my beautiful mate." When I say beautiful she blushes.

"I'm not pretty I'm fat, ugly, and useless." She looks away with tears in her eyes and that all I can take.

I get up and sit in the bed putting her in my lap. I whisper in her ear, "Your more beautiful than anyone else and I swear I won't hurt you and if I do I would do anything to make it better." I brush her soft wavy hair away from her face.

We sit like that for a good half hour before Chloe, the pack doctor, Knicks and comes in. "Hello Alpha!" She smiles.

Chloe isn't a slut. She's been one if my best friends since first grade. She always calls me alpha even when I tell her not to.

My beautiful mate looks down shy.

Chloe smiles and holds out her hand. "I'm Chloe. Its nice to meet you!"

Alexandra shakes her hand. "Alexandra. You. Can call me Lexi though." She says in a voice hardly above a whisper.

I hold her tighter but not too tight. "When can ahe leve Chloe?"

Chloe smiles. "She camn leave anytime."

I grin and pick Lexi up gently and head out saying, "Thanks Chloe!" as I walk out.

I'm so sorry these chapters are so short! :'( I'm writing this in first period study hall. I will try harder to update sooner! But this is also my first official book.
