For miles Blaze ran through the country side. He had been subdued longer than he wanted too by Kaden for good reason. He was ready to go rampant if he wasn't able to be freed and do what his animalistic instincts told him to do. He was livid because of his Mate's betrayal and he wasn't going to apologize or feel remorse for his actions. She should have known. She was his the moment he realized she was in the forest where he found her.
Slowing down once he reached a clearing that overlooked another village he stopped, looking down towards it.
"Is this the place?" he asks Kaden.
"Yes." responding back.
Without saying anything, Blaze took off running down the clearing towards the village that has been under surveillance the last few days. It had been reported that a fugitive has been hiding out in one of the Inns and he being the King, had to investigate.
Stopping at the end of the forest he surveys the area. The Inn was yards away so all he had to do was go in and speak to the Inn keeper to confirm the fugitive's identity.
Opening the door to the Inn, he glances around the open space noticing the desk. Walking up to it he rings the bell and waits.
"May I help you?" a voice came out from a back room revealing an older man who went wide eyed once he saw who had rang the bell.
"King Kaden. How may I help you?" bowing his head out of respect.
"Are you Mr. Wilkins?"
"Y-yes my King." nervously responding. The man had no idea why the King would be there in his Inn asking for him. He knew his reputation for showing up to deal with certain situations. Situations that he had to get rid off.
"I was informed that a possible fugitive has been staying here for the past two days. I need for you to help me confirm it."
"Of course. What would you like to know?" asking him relieved that he wasn't going to meet his fate that evening.

After Kaden spoke to Mr. Wilkins he went back outside heading to the local pub to clear his mind about the day he had... and also about Catalina.
Just the thought of her infuriated him to the core. She knew about their kind and knew about the Mating Bond. Knew that they will be Soulmates for eternity and even though she rejected him, that bond could never be broken. Hell would have to freeze or one of them had to die... she sealed her fate for running away from the inevitable.
Sitting in the corner booth drinking a pint, he thought about how things could have been different if he wouldn't have lost his temper with her the day he brought her to the castle.
Blaze was in full control, becoming possessive once she had blurted out she was engaged to another man. At first he thought she was lying to stop him from taking what was his but after seeing the sincerity in her eyes, he knew she wasn't... and a part of him snapped.
He could have apologized, tried to make her understand, but the way she acted towards him had him rethink it. If she wanted to be difficult then he would do the same but ten times worst. He was the King and he was not going to let anyone, including his Mate bring out the one thing he was taught not to show... weakness.
The vibration of his cell phone took him away from his thoughts. "Yes?" answering it.
"My King, it's me Wilkins." the Innkeeper tells him.
"What is the update?"
"It is definitely the fugitive you are seeking for my King."
"Good. Did you do what I told you to do?" making sure his task was done.
"Yes, as instructed."
Kaden smirked satisfied with the news. At least some good news came out of the day, finally.
"Alright. Once the fugitive is removed from the Inn, you will be nicely compensated."
"Thank you my King. I will keep you posted if anything changes."
"You better." ending the call.
Taking a swig from his pint glass, Kaden grinned to himself. Glancing over his contact list he taps on Ash's number. Waiting for him to answer.
"Kaden?"
"Our fugitive has been located and confirmed by the Inn keeper."
"Have you spotted-"
"Not yet, but I will keep watch to make sure. Our fugitive won't get away this time. They will pay for betraying us and once captured I will punish them as should be." Kaden balling up his fist.
"Do what you must. You are the King."
"I am and you from all people know what I do to people who cross me. "
"I know Kaden. Just be careful."
"Careful? Why must I be careful?" asking curiously.
"You know why and you are smart enough to figure it out if you don't. Just like your fugitive was smart enough to escape."
The low growl emitting from his throat was a clear warning to Ash to keep his opinion to himself. "Trust me. I will never make that mistake again. I'm a few steps ahead this time around and I will stay there until they are caught and dealt with."
Silence. "You always do get your way Kaden. Always have. Good luck my King. Call me when they are caught." simply saying then ending the call since Ash knew Kaden wasn't going to listen to anyone at that moment.
Slamming his cell on the table, Kaden automatically placed his hand over his heart hissing. The pain he's been feeling since Catalina rejected him. The pain that had increased since her death.
"If you had only accepted our destiny Catalina. You wouldn't be dead and I wouldn't be experiencing this horrible pain. You would have had everything a Queen deserved and I would've been the one to give it to you."

Hi everyone, hope you all had a nice Easter for those who celebrated it yesterday, I know I did with family and friends which are very important to me.
I know I haven't updated in a while but you ALL need to understand that I DO HAVE A BUSY PERSONAL LIFE outside wattpad and being rude in your comments will not make me update faster. I take pride in my books and I don't rush to write a Chapter like some other writers do on wattpad. It took me a week just to update this Chapter because I couldn't find a long time to just sit down and fully write it though it is short, I wanted to update. So try to be mindful and respectful, it is much appreciated.
Anyways, thanks for Reading, Voting and Commenting.
My kids are in Spring Break this week and my youngest will be turning 6 yrs old on Wednesday so I will be busy with them.
Have a great week and I will try to update as soon as I can. Bye.
