Since being kicked out of her pack at the age of 18 for 'not having a wolf', Cece had to live in the town of Milestone, the neutral territory that was right in the middle of the five packs that surrounded it.

Seven years later, she's working at a local diner and no, she did not have a magical makeover and a change in attitude, she still is the same sweet, shy girl who found it difficult to stand up for herself or socialize.

Every year, Alphas and Lunas of all the surrounding five packs; Moonlight pack, Dark Moon pack, Crescent moon pack, Full moon Pack, and not to mention, the most feared pack in all America, the Silent Moon Pack; would come to Milestone, the neutral land of humans for a meeting, and every year, Cece would avoid going out, to avoid bumping into one of the Alpha's.

This year, however, she had an extra shift that she had to take because her 'employer' told her it was either that or living on the streets. This was also the year the Alphas and Lunas got their heirs (first born sons/daughters) to teach them the workings of the five packs.
