Cayden's Pov

(Couple of days later)

It's been a couple of days since Harry shut down doc's lab and costing my my job as I'm still pissed about that and took my anger out on some thugs couple of minutes ago and now I'm sitting on a roof with Calon in his prowler suit.

Calvon: And you couldn't find another job yet?

Cayden: Nah, doc is the only one who can handle me when I rage out. *sighs* I just want to strangle Osborn until he either clock out of his neck snap.

Calvon: Woah, bro you really need to calm down. Remember you're a hero. Not like our father.

I was quiet a bit as he was right I'm a good guy not what our father is. I takes off my mask and looks at t before sighing.

Cayden: Yeah I'm not....I'm better than him. Thanks bro, I really needed that.

Calvon: *deactivates his mask* It's what family is for man. Even though you don't like asking for help when me, Fionna, and Eilane ask.

Cayden: That because I can handle protecting the city of New York by myself. 

Calvon: Really? Cause you had your powers for just a year man.

Cayden: And? I can handle this shit.

Calvon: *sighs* Whatever you say. You need a break though. Don't want you to crash out.

Cayden: Hm, you're probably right. *sits up* Go back home, before Anthony get out of work.

Calvon: Okay. See you bro.

Cayden: See ya.

Calvon activated his mask and jumps off of the roof as I watch him leave as I look at the sky and then the city as I remember what my grandma said about asking Eva out. Now I want that to go away as I pulls out my phone and calls Eva.

Eva: Hello?

Cayden: Hey, Eva.

Eva: Heya Cay Cay. Why you called?

Cayden: I called cause I got a question for you.

Eva: Hm?

Cayden: *rubs my neck* Ar......Are you busy right now or later on?

Eva: Uh....No I'm not. Finished the last of my homework. Why?

Cayden: Because I want to see if you want to go Micks....to go out...

Eva: Y-you're asking me out?

Cayden: On a date? Yeah....You can say no if you want.

Eva: N-no. We can go to Micks. I'll meet you there in ten minutes.

Cayden: Okay I'll see you there.

I ended the call as I felt my heart beating fast as I hit my chest wanting it to calm down.

Cayden: I fucking hate my heart.

After putting my mask back on I jumps off of the building and started dive a bit before firing an web and started swinging towards where Micks.

(Eleven minutes later)

Me and Eva was at Micks on our so called date and we was talking with one another as I told her what Harry did days earlier.

Eva: I'm very sorry he did that to you. I wish we could put some sense into him.

Cayden: It's fine. Calvon talked to me earlier and calms me down a bit.

Eva: That's good. I'm not the only one who can calm you down before you hurt people.

Cayden: Hey I have reason to hurt people other than my anger.

Eva: *looks at me* Really? What about that new kid a few weeks ago?

Cayden: He was messing with you so I just talked with him.

Eva: Talked? You broke his hand.

Cayden: Eh, he's hand is fine and look. He's not bothering you nor anyone anymore. So win-win. *drinks my soda*

Eva: *sighing and smiles* You always cares for me....but really cares about me the most. Thanks.

My heart started to beat fast again as I feel my cheeks started to heat up which caused me to look away and Eva noticed.

Eva: You okay?

Cayden: Ye...yeah....I'm fine.

Eva: *holds my hand* You sure.

Cayden: *body starts to heat up* Y-yup. All fine and dandy.

Eva: Hm, alright.

I tries to calm myself down a bit until we hears sirens coming from outside.

Cayden: Oh uh, I have to go.

Eva: And do you're thing?

Cayden: Thing? I don't know what you is talking about.

Eva then form her hands and started gesturing me firing my web shooters as my eyes widen and looked at her.

Cayden: How did yo-

Eva: It was kinda easy to tell. I'll tell you when you done with that but first.

Eva then quickly peck me on the lips as she was blushing and I was stunned.

Eva: H-hehe. Wanted to do that for a long time. 

Cayden: I-uh....uh...

Eva: Don't stand there go.

Cayden: *shakes my head* Right.

I then leaves Micks but not before leaving some cash there. I then quickly switched into my suit and started swinging when I called Yuri.

Cayden: Hey Yuri, what's up with the cops on the street?

Yuri: Shocker escaped. And now he's robbing a bank on East Thirty-First.

Cayden: What? I thought he was locked up.

Yuri: He was. But one of the guards just walked up to his cell and released him, then gave him his suit back. 

Cayden: Shocker is working for someone? Oh that's great. What you got out of the guard?

Yuri: Wish I could ask him, but he's dead. Whoever made him release Shocker didn;t want any loose ends.

Cayden: Damnit.

Yuri: Looking at the security footage, the guard was in some kind of trance. And it might have been the lighting, but it looked like his eyes were glowing. 

Cayden: Well that's not creepy at all. I'll see what I get out of Shocker.

The call ended as I started making my way to the bank.

(Couple of minutes later)

I made it to the bank and saw the cops around the entrance as I enter through a vent and hanged upside down as I see Shocker holding two duffle bags full of money.

Cayden: Herman.

Shocker: We meet again partner.

Cayden: Still don't like the cowboy slang.

I fired two webs at Shocker's hands making hi drop the bag of money and I pulled myself to him kicking him into the vault as I was on his back but he fired his blast to the ground lifting him up to make me hit the ceiling as I fall to the ground. I quickly recovers and got myself up and webbed the vault closing it behind me.

Cayden: Look like we're stuck in here. How about we play a game called you answer my question and I won't break your face.

He tried to blast me but I dodged the attacks and punched him but he took the punch and blasted me at the vault door which ripped out as I falls to the ground.

Cayden: I hate this shit.....

Shocker: You want to fight spider. The let's fight.

He then tries to used his blasters on me but I moved out of the way as he fired them and started following me as he was still using his shock blaster. I webbed up some rubble and throw it at him which hit him and stunned him as I web zipped towards Shocker and punched him while using a bit of electricity. As me and him was fighting he was talking about some people wearing mask as I pieced it together as he is being paid  by those demon masked people. 

Cayden: Great they're hiring people now.

Shocker; Die bug!!

Cayden: I ain't a bug country fuck!

He tried to blast me but I webbed up his arm but it made an feedback which destroyed part of the bank as I noticed the ceiling is coming off as that made me though of an idea.

Cayden: Brain you work on so many levels.

Dodging another one of his blast I webbed up part of the beams and started to pull them down which caused the whole ceiling to fall on Shocker as he tries to get the rubble off of him I webbed him up.

Cayden: And stay the fuck there cowboy.

I walks away from Shocker and out of the bank dusting myself as some of the police rushed in to arrest Shocker.

Cayden: Great these demons are paying people and mind controlling people?.....Nah....but maybe....glowing eyes. Need to look into that.

I fired a web at a building and zipped myself into the call as I called Yuri.

Cayden: Alright Yuri, Shocker is all yours now.

Yuri: Good work. We have a special cell waiting for him at The Raft. We'll make sure he stays behind bars this time.

Cayden: Also, I'm sure he was working with the demon gang.

Yuri: Demon gang? *sighs* Sounds like a Daily Bugle headline.

Cayden: Hey it's something alright. Anyway, have you had any more reports on demon...guys with masks?

Yuri: Let me get back to you on that. By the way, how much of a mess did you make in the bank?

Cayden: You don't want to know

Yuri: Ugh. Shouldn't had asked...

Yuri ends the call as I then calls Eva.

Eva: Finished what you was doing?

Cayden: Yeah, I did. Me and you are gonna have a talk.

Eva: How about we talk tomorrow since it's tomorrow is Saturday?

Cayden: Sure, we'll talk in my room.

Eva: Okay, love you.

Cayden: L.....love you too.

Eva giggles and hangs up the call making me sigh.

Cayden: Ugh....I thought I had this secret life good. But it seems I let it slipped.....Damnit me.

I jumps off of the building and started swinging back home.
