Cayden's pov

(Weeks later)

It's been weeks since Norman's funeral and Harry declared his venges towards me as everything is somewhat back to normal as of right now school was over early as they was going to get ready for the Winter Ball tonight as I knew I wasn't gonna go anyways. I grabbed my book bag from my locker and closed it as I saw Eva standing next to me as she was rubbing her arm.

Cayden: Oh hey Eva. Need something?

Eva: Y-y-yeah I need something........

Cayden: And that is?

Eva: U-uh........Ummmm.....

I notice that she is getting very nervous as I put my hands on her shoulder.

Cayden: Oi take a deep breath and calm yourself.

Eva: *nodded her head and took a deep breath* O-okay....Okay I'm somewhat calm down a bit...Thanks.

Cayden: *shrugs* It's nothing. Now what do you want to ask me or tell me.

Eva: *breathes in and out* Do you want to go to the winter ball......with me?

I blinks at what Eva asked me as I looked at her as if she was joking but the nervous look on her face tells me that she is being serious.

Cayden: You're asking me? Why not asked Harry?

Eva: I don't want to go with Harry...I want to go with you.

Cayden: ......Alright I'll go to the ball with you.

Eva's face brighten up as she smiles brightly and gives me a quick hug.

Eva: Thank you thank you!! Thank you so much!!!

Cayden: Uh, it's nothing. What time do I have to come to your house and get you?

Eva: *blushes* H-hey it's not prom.

Cayden: I know. But my uncle once told me if you want to impress a girl. Pick them and take them anywhere.

Eva: O-okay you can pick my up at seven.

Cayden: Alright I'll met you at seven.

Eva let go of me and walks away exiting out of the school as I put my bag on my back as I walked out of the school.

After an hour had passed as I'm in my Spider-Man suit as I just stopped an robbery as now I'm sitting on a roof eating some chips as I finished eating it as I put the empty bag into my book bag.

Cayden: *gets up* Great it's five something now what am I suppose to do now? I got to pick up Eva for the Winter Ball. Probably just head home and find some clothes to put on. Yeah.

I grabbed my book bag and jumps off of the roof and staretd swinging back home as after a couple of minutes, I made it back home as i saw an unknown car parked near my house as I was confused.

Cayden: Who the fuck is this?

I jumps down into an alleyways as i put on my clothes and walks to the door and entered inside.

Cayden: I'm home! And who's rich ass car near our house?

I walked further in my house and spotted no other than Tony Stark sitting on my couch and talking with my grandma and mom.

Tony: *sees me* Oh Mr. Dunlap.

Cayden: Uh, what-what are you doing-Ugh questions for later. I'm Cayden.

Tony: Tony.

Cayden: I know who you are already. Probably everyone does. What are you doing here?

Tony: It's about time that we met. You've been getting my emails right? *winks at me*

Cayden: *mumbles* Play along Cayden....Yeah I have been...Regarding....?

Donna: You didn't tell us about the grant?

Cayden: yeah grant....

Tony: The September foundation. yeah remember when you applied?

Cayden: Yeah.

Tony: I approved. so now we're in business.

May: You didn't tell us anything about this. What's up with that. We're keeping secrets?

Cayden: Uhhh I just forgot to tell you guys. You know how my brain is and forgetting things quickly and overthinking itself. 

Donna: Of course you forgot.

Cayden: Anyway I forgot what I applied for so can you tell me again?

Tony: That's why I'm here to remind you. Can I have fine minutes with him?

Donna: Sure you can.

May: Go right ahead.

Cayden: Hmmm. Ma, granny I'm going leave around seven to pick up Eva and go to the Winter Ball since she asked me to take her.

May: Oh that's lovely. I hope you and her have a fun time there.

Donna: Don't cause a fight.

Cayden: *rolls my eyes* I won't jeez. Follow me Mr. Stark.

I lead Tony to my room as he walked in and I closed the door.

Cayden: Okay I definitely did not apply to your gra-

Tony: Ah me first. Quick question of the rhetorical variety.

He then pulls out his phone and shows footage of me in my protype spider suit beating some thugs down.

Tony: That's you right?

Cayden: Uh, no.

He then reveals more footage of me in my now current suit fighting it out with Green Goblin at the festival and me stopping a car.

Tony: Look at you good fighting that Goblin freak and stopping a car going forty miles per hour and it's three thousand pounds. It's not easy. You got mad skills.

Cayden: Again that's not me. People recorded those things.

I walked passed him to put my bag down as Tony grabbed a bat I have in my room and moved an area on my ceiling as my protype suit fell down as I grabbed it.

Cayden: Damnit....

Tony: So, you're the Spider-Ling. Spider-Boy?

Cayden: Spider-Man, dude.

Tony: Not when you was wearing that old thing. Good you upgraded.

Cayden: Yeah thanks.

Tony: Who else knows?

Cayden: Nobody other than you.

Tony: Not even you attractive mom and your sweet grandmother?

Cayden: No....Just no dude. If they found out my ma would freak and my grandma would have a heart attack.

Tony: *holds one of my web cartridges* You know what I think is really cool this webbing.

He toss the cartridge at me as I easily caught it.

Tony: Tensile strength is off the charts. Who manufactured that?

Cayden: I did. Made in school. *put the cartridge in a draw*

Tony: Climbing walls how you doing that? Same with going invisible and those talons>

Cayden: Those are powers of mine.

Tony: Have more?

Cayden: I got night vision, enhanced senses, an somewhat good but slow healing factor.

Tony: Why you're doing this?

Now that's a question I've been telling myself ever since I started being Spider-Man and I always have the answer and it was my uncle and his last words to me the day he died.

Cayden: Because I've been me my whole life. And I got these power back in September.....Look when you can do the things that I can but you don't.....And then the bad things happens. they happen because of you...

Tony: So you want to look out for the little guy. You want to do your part to make the world a better place.

Cayden: Yeah.

Tony: Kid. I'm here to ask you if you want to be apart of something big.

Cayden: You is asking me to be an Avenger?

Tony: Correct.

Cayden: Hm.......Sure but I like to do things solo.

Tony: I can work with that.

Cayden: Alright.

Tony and I shakes hands as he leaves my room as I sat on my bed and let out an sigh.

The time is seven pm as I was getting ready for the Winter Ball as I finish ting my tie as my mom look at me.

Cayden: How do I look?

Donna: You could of put on a suit but you look fine.

Cayden: *has a small smiles* Thanks.

Donna: Tell Eva I said hi and have a good time there.

Cayden: I'll try ma.

I then grabbed my phone, wallet, and keys before leaving the hosue and walked to Eva's house as i made it and knocked on the door as Eva opens it as she was wearing a very good dress as I stared in awe.

Eva: H-how do I look?

Cayden: You look stunning. Ready to go?

Eva: Y-yeah I got everything let's go.

She closes the door as I hold her hand and we started walking to school. After a couple of minutes of a bus ride, we made it as we walked into the gym and sees students dancing, chatting, and having fun.

Eva: I see people having fun.

Cayden: Yeah. Let's go have fun as well.

Eva: Yeah!

I smiles at her as she smiles back as we started having fun at the winter ball with one another.
