Episode 9 - Aurora Weekly👽
"Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people."
-Eleanor Roosevelt

The Russo twins pushed their way in between the students who were huddled in front of the smartboard, which was present in the school's newsroom. They were squished like thousands of ants trying to feed on a small piece of bread.
Here "bread" symbolized the much awaited Aurora Weekly. It was a factory which produced juicy gossip and rumors about the school's students. Also, the upcoming activities, awards, and the competitions going on in the school were listed in this "smart" newspaper.
The presentation began, causing the bickerings of the students to drop to a hushed silence. Their eyes were glued to the smartboard, which flickered from black to an HD quality picture of the twins.
Immediately, thousands of gazes locked on the twins, who somehow were standing in the middle of the room. They looked at each other in confusion and shrugged. The gazes of the students were captured by the gossip-monger smartboard the next second, eager to grab whatever information was shown.
The Russo twins, Elena and Kate, have hit AHS like a storm since a week. With picking up a quarrel with the queen bee, Ashley, to crushing the ice king, Ivan Moore, into a hug without his consent, the twins surely know how to grab the spotlight.
If these events weren't enough, Kate was found hitting two boys, Kyle and Jamie, from her batch, in the cafeteria. Judging her quiet and calm demeanor, watching her being violent was a total shocker.
Elena is mostly seen wearing a leather jacket, thinking she can add a badass charm to her personality. If you want to be badass, a fashionable leather jacket won't help.
Speaking of fashion, we've never seen a more pathetic style in any student so far, except in Kate. Oversized T-shirts, baggy pants, and messy buns don't give a fashion vibe. Kate, you need a stylist ASAP. A weird outfit won't let you stand out.
The students of AHS find the twins weird, which is evident from their backpacks and their bikes, seriously an alien theme? So not cool.
Will the twins gain popularity? Will they be able to fit in? Stay tuned for more juicy details and news.

The slideshow ended, raising bubbling conversations, which seemed indecipherable. The twins looked around to notice students pointing at them and whispering to each other.
Kate smirked and looked at Elena, who had already been gazing at her sister with her usual smirk.
Elena clapped her hands briskly to earn their attention. "Show's over guys, get back to your classes."
She bowed down slightly, Kate following the same, each keeping their left arms wrapped around their stomachs with their left legs sticking backward.
They saluted at the gaping students, linked their arms together, and left the room with their brown heads held high. They were not even 1% bothered by the news about them.

The cafeteria bustled with students ordering their food, gossiping about the latest Weekly, and eating.
Elena and Kate sat with Ivan and Max, much to the annoyance of the ice king, who sat with a permanent glare plastered on his face.
"Don't you understand? This is my table, just leave," Ivan spoke, turning all the three heads towards him.
"We're not here to leave, Van," Elena commented, wiping her lips with a tissue.
"My name is Ivan, not Van, stop calling me that," he spoke with a grumble. "I for Ice cream and V for Van, it's Ivan, got it?
"Well, we won't, buddy, that's our nickname for you... Van," Kate stressed in her soft voice, the corner of her mouth twitched upwards.
"You're not my friends," Ivan spat with a scowl, "I don't need a nickname from you."
"That's where you're wrong... we're, you can't see it," Elena mumbled the last part.
Ivan let out an exasperated sigh and glanced at Max who was sharing a tub of chocolate chip ice cream with Kate.
Ivan glared at him, clearly displeased that he was sharing food with the twins. But Max didn't even notice his glare as he was devotedly eating the food in front of him.
Ivan was about to retort to Elena's comment but stopped when Ashley arrived at his table. With a flick of her high ponytail, and her bright pink lips tugged upwards in a cheeky smile, she sat on Ivan's lap, much to everyone's surprise.
"Get off!" Ivan ordered with a frown, his icy, blue eyes locked with Ashley's flirtatious ones in a glare.
"Aw, baby, can't you do this much for me?" Ashley cooed, tracing her nails over Ivan's stubble, making him fidget in his seat.
"Get off, now!" Ivan warned.
Max got up from his seat and reached Ivan's side to stand next to Ashley.
"Look, I don't want to touch you, but don't compel me to," Max spoke calmly. "Please, get up and leave."
"Sweet! But no, thanks," Ashley giggled, her voice the only sound heard in the cafeteria now. She turned her attention back to Ivan, and kissed his cheek, her smile revealing her charming dimples.
"How dare you?" Ivan shouted, and struggled to push Ashley away, but received only her giggles in return.
Elena eyed this with her eyebrows raised. Her chin rested upon her knuckles, her fingers were entangled, and her elbows touched the table. She dropped her arms back on the table and folded her palms together.
Kate noticed how tightly Elena had gripped the table now, glaring at the queen bee. To say that Elena wasn't jealous would be a big lie. What crushes do to you.
Unable to watch Ashley flirting with Ivan, Elena commented irritatedly, "Can't you see that he isn't interested?"
Ashley turned her head towards Elena and feigned a look of confusion.
"Do I know you?"
"Yeah, you've got a good fortune that you do."
Ashley chose to ignore Elena and continued stroking Ivan's cheek, making him boil with rage. He pushed her hand away and tried to get up.
"You don't get it do you?" Elena frowned at Ashley, noticing Ivan clearly at discomfort. "He is not interested in you," she spoke in a clipped tone.
Kate smiled watching their exchange, noticing how Ashley glared at Elena, like how a child is denied her favorite toy.
She then noticed Max, who was trying hard to think of something. His green orbs met her amber ones to receive a message of denial, accompanied by the shake of her head.
"Why are you jealous?" Ashley asked with a smirk and wrapped her arm around Ivan's neck. He wrinkled his nose due to the strong fragrance of her perfume.
"Yeah, right," Elena answered with a scoff. "Why would I be?"
Ashley smirked and kissed Ivan's cheek again, making both him and Elena rile up. However, Kate intervened before her sister or Max could say anything else.
"Don't you have any dignity, bee?" Kate asked with a frown. "Aren't you ashamed of throwing yourself at Van?
"It's called flirting," Ashley replied coolly, her pony hitting Ivan's face as she turned her head.
"I'm a princess, I can get anything," she added while adjusting her crystal crown.
"Too bad money can't buy you everything," Kate replied back drily.
"Too bad money can't buy love," Elena commented as she shook her head, and looked directly into Ashley's eyes. Was it sadness, anger or bitterness filled in them? Elena couldn't tell.
Ashley's face lost its smirk, and she got abruptly from Ivan's lap. Without giving any of them another glance, she strutted away, her stilettos tapping against the floor in a practiced rhythm.
