A Week Later - Elly's POV

"Elly, Pain wants you." Konan says to me half asleep as the knocking on our door intensifies.

This is how we know he wants us, he has someone repeatedly knock on our door to get the two of us up since we sleep late.

I groan. "I think he wants both of us." I mutter and she gets up slowly and stumbles over to the bathroom while I roll of my bed and land with a loud thud. "Ow, that hurt." I say and I get up.

I feed Cocoa and she barks happily and starts eating.

After Konan is done I head into the bathroom and change and do my stuff.

I leave my hair down, not bothering to do anything with it and I walk out of the room with Konan and we head to Pain's office to see a guy with a lollipop mask. I put my hands in my pockets as the guy looks at us.

"Konan, who is this?" The guy asks her in a deep voice.

My blood turns cold at that voice.

"Oh wait, never mind." He says and I can tell he's smirking.

"I would do something rash, but, I'd rather not since I just got out of bed, so, why am I here and not sleeping?" I ask Pain.

"Meet Madara, he'll be going undercover here as Tobi, a guy waiting to get in the organization, he secretly rules this place, so be nice Elly, and, he'll be teamed up with you by his request." Pain says to me and I freeze, an almost scared look in my eyes.

"No." I say calmly as I keep my hands in my pockets as I look Pain dead in the eye. "I stated when I joined that I did not want a teammate, I work better alone than I do with having to look out for someone." I say to him. "Besides, he has anger towards the Senju and its a surefire way for me to die, if I were to get in trouble on a mission, I doubt he'd try to help me and he would probably leave me to die surrounded by the enemy, because that's the kind of guy he is, he couldn't care less about comrades, all he wants, is to destroy everyone and everything, and if he sees me as a threat to that, he'll get rid of me without a second thought." I say and Pain looks at me mildly shocked at the coolness in my tone.

Konan smiles proudly of me as I stand there.

"So little faith in me and I'd thought you'd have the temper of your sister." Madara says to me.

"Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the hearts of fools. Ecclesiastes 7:9." I say and Madara scowls at me.

"You worship a false god." Madara says to me.

"Everyone has their own god, and mine, is the one true god, unlike a false god like you claim to be Madara." I say and that just fuels his anger.

"Elly." Pain says in a warning tone.

"Bless those who curse you and pray for those who mistreat you. Luke 6:28." I say and and that does it, Madara growls in anger.

"She's not giving him an inch, but backing him into a corner." Konan says to Pain who nods.

"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside still waters, He restores my soul, He leads me in the path of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me, Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies, you anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over. I say and Madara attempts to grab me, but I stop him with a kunai to his throat. "You won't touch me, you won't come near me, and you won't be teamed up with me, you will be a beast in a cage while I'm around, for you are nothing but a predator sent from the devil." I say and Madara backs up and I put the kunai away.

"Who thought the kid I tried to pray on, would turn into someone who has a strong faith and won't fall beneath my feet like everyone else will." Madara says to me and Pain and Konan look at me.

"And he said, my Lord is my Rock, my Fortress and my Deliverer. The God of my Strength, in him I will Trust, My Shield and the Horn of my Salvation. My Stronghold and my Refuge, You save me from Violence. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, so I shall be Saved from my enemies. When the waves of Death encompassed me, the Floods of ungodliness made me afraid, the sorrows of Sheol surrounded me, the snares of Death confronted me. 2 Samuel 22: 2-6. Through my doubts and suffering, he was there and sent light to show me the way out of the darkness you showed me, the Lord gives me strength and wisdom, now, I'll be going since I have better things to do than stand around here talking to a brick wall." I say and Konan and Pain look at Madara as his intent comes out and my eyes narrow at him.

"This needs to be stopped now." Konan says to Pain.

"Just wait." Pain says to her.

A white aura appears around me while a black one surrounds him. My hair levitates up along with my cloak.

"You speak nonsense girl, where was God when your clan killed my brothers?" Madara asks me.

"He was there, he was always there, you just didn't seek out for him, even though he helped you win your battles, or when he showed you Hashirama. He gave you things and you never returned his goodness." I say and his eyes harden. "God gives and sometimes he takes, and everything he does is for love, if he takes something away, he's teaching you a lesson and gives you something in return." I say and Madara growls. "Your greedy. You take and take, and you give nothing but suffering and anguish in return." I say and he attempts to touch me again, but then a barrier surrounds me as my cross necklace rises up. "The Lord my God protects me, for I am his child." I say and his hand gets zapped by the barrier and he takes it back.

"She can't be touched when her cross it being shown." Konan says to Madara.

I keep my hands in my pockets and he gives up and his aura falls and I let mine fall as well and my cross stays out as my hair falls neatly down and so does my cloak.

"See?" Pain says to Konan who nods.

"I'll be taking my leave now." I say and Pain nods and I leave the room.

"That's Elly, possibly the strongest here." Pain says and then I'm out of ear shot.

I head down to my room and I grab my bible and Cocoa's leash and the two of us head outside and she does her business in the forest while I read.

"Good sense makes one slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook offense, Proverbs 19:11." I say as the two of us walk.

Cocoa barks happily at that and I undo her leash and she runs around chasing a squirrel as I watch her while reading.

"There and she's wearing the cloak." Someone says and I call Cocoa to me and she comes running.

"Who's there?" I ask and a group of ANBU from Iwa surrounds me. "Damn, I thought I had more time before the village finally realized I wasn't coming back." I say and Cocoa whimpers. "Ne, Cocoa, go hide, I'll come find you when this is over." I say and Cocoa looks up at me worried, but nods and takes off running and the ANBU pay no mind to her. "Do you really think you'll beat me Chief?" I ask him.

"We're gonna try, after, you can't handle 10 on 1, so we'll win in numbers." Chief says to me.

"Mother fucking dickweed." I say shocked as I put my Bible in my pouch.

"You still carry that thing around?" Chief asks me.

"Yeah." I say simply.

"And you still wear that cross, you know, everyone was shocked when they learned you left the village, you were quite devoted to it after we saved your life from the Leaf." Chief says to me.

"Shocked? Ha, yeah right, I bet you all rejoiced that the outcast was gone." I say my eyes hardening.

"Maybe so, but you hold the secrets of our village, we must dispose of you quickly." Chief says to me.

"Go ahead and try." I say through gritted teeth.

"Its to bad too, you were such a skilled Shinobi." Chief says to me and all of them rush at me and I glare at them, my eyes blazing with fury and I punch each one of them far away in different directions.

I tch as they appear back in front of me and their tanto's come out and I strike them down.

"You've been brainwashed well." Chief says getting up.

"Its called free will, something I never had in Iwa." I say and I punch him over and over again ruthlessly.

"You think she's pissed?" Hidan asks Kakuzu.

"Probably, don't get in her way." Kakuzu says to him.

"Chief, I suggest, you never come after me again." I say and he looks at me and Hidan smirks.

"Oi, bitch, you want me to finish them off?" Hidan asks me.

"Only if you want to, they're annoying me anyways, but I'm finishing off Chief myself." I say and Hidan smirks.

Hidan takes care of the others as I pull out a kunai and Chief looks at me.

"Your, just running away." He says to me.

"No, I found where I belong, and its not with you bastards, its with the outcasts." I say and I stake him into the tree with the kunai through his heart and Hidan smirks at me.

"Way to fucking go Bitch." Hjdan says to me.

I shrug. "The dude was half of my suffering back in Iwa, he was my higher up and made sure I did the most missions and stuck me with people I didn't like." I say and I find Cocoa nearby and she runs to me and licks my hand and I pet her head. "Good girl, thanks for waiting." I say to her and she barks happily.

We head back to the base and Konan greets me.

"You did it." She says to me and I look at her confused.

"Did what?" I ask her.

"You stood up to Madara." Konan says to me with a smile.

"Eh? Oh, that? It was nothing." I say to her and she and I head to our room while Cocoa runs around the base.

I wash my hands and I look at Konan.

"So, that walk was longer than normal." Konan says to me as I put my Bible on my shelf.

"Yeah, I was attacked by Iwa tracking Ninja, I left Kakuzu and Hidan to dispose of their bodies." I say and she looks at me shocked.

"Seriously?" Konan asks me.

"I thought I had more time before they realized I wasn't coming back, but they were all taken care of." I say and Konan nods.

"You should inform Pain of this." Konan says to me.

"Yeah, I'm going, though I'd like to avoid it." I say and Konan nods.

A few months later.

I sit in the base messing with a puzzle. Its not a puzzle where you put the pieces together, its a different kind, this one you have to take a chain with a ball on it, off of the metal, and it's very difficult.

"ELLY-SENPAI!" Tobi yells running in and skidding to a stop next to the couch.

I don't pay any mind to him as I work on trying to figure this out.

"Elly-Senpai! Leader-Sama wants you!" He says dancing around the couch.

"Uh huh, that's nice." I say absentmindedly.

"Come on!" He yells taking my arm and I get forced off the couch and to Pain's office. "LEADER-SAMA! I'VE BROUGHT ELLY-SENPAI!" Tobi yells as we run in and I'm annoyed while Pain just looks unamused.

"Hands off lollipop loser." I say taking my wrist back and I rub it slightly from his hard grip.

"Thanks Tobi." Pain says to him.

"Is Tobi a good boy?" He asks excited.

I look at Pain and he looks annoyed and stressed out. "Why did you want me?" I ask him.

"Right, your dismissed Tobi." Pain says to him and Tobi runs out of the room.

"That dudes a pain in the ass, are you sure we can't kick him out?" I ask.

"Yeah, I'm sure, anyways, I have a mission for you." Pain says to me and I nod.
