A Week Later - Elly's POV

I run from Hidan as he chases me with his scythe.

"You damn child of Jesus!" Hidan yells at me.

"John 3:16 For god so loved the world, he gave his one and only son, and whoever believes in him shall have eternal life!" I yell and duck his scythe.

"Stop it!" Hidan yells at me.

"John 3:17! For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him!" I yell and he growls and nearly tackles me, but I jump out the open base door and I roll on the ground as he slides on his face and I smoothly finish rolling and stand up.

"They're at it again." Konan says to Pain who sighs.

"You damn bitch!" Hidan yells at me as I jump up and I land a crushing kick to him and he and the earth get crushed under my kick.

I jump back. "God is my refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble, this is my God and I will praise him, he is my father's god and I will exalt him! Psalm 46: 1-3." I say to Hidan.

"You, bitch." He grumbles.

I grab the back of his cloak and I drag him inside and I tie him to a chair and I cut his head off and I put it on a pole and I walk away from there.

"OH MY GOD!" Deidara yells and I can tell he saw the scene in the front room.

I put my hands in my jean pockets. "Don't take thy Lord my God's name is vain." I say and I can hear Hidan cussing his head off.

I walk to my room and I sit on my bed and I look at the shelf of books I have, attached to my wall and I grab my Bible and I start reading in Revelations.

I fall asleep after a while with my Bible on my chest.

"Elly, Leader wants you." Someone says walking in the room.

I groan and hide under my black comforter and the person sighs.

"Elly, get up."

I sigh. "Why does he want me now?" I ask as I get up and I walk to the office with Itachi and I mess with my bangs trying to get them in their normal position. "This air isn't good for my hair." I say and he rolls his eyes.

"Tell me about it." Itachi says to me.

"I'm gonna have to get a flat iron for my hair, usually its naturally flat." I say and Itachi nods and we walk into the office and Pain looks at us.

"Close your cloak up Elly, its supposed to be closed." Pain says to me.

"I agreed to stay in the place without much fighting, I didn't object to this, so I'm going to wear the cloak how I please, besides, if I try to close it, I'm gonna lose air." I say and He just sighs at me.

I shrug and we look at him.

"You two are going on a mission together, its a mission that requires Both of your skills." Pain says to us.

I raise an eyebrow. "What kind of mission?" I ask him.

"You'll be visiting the Hidden Leaf to get information on the 9 Tails Jinchuriki, Kisame will be going with you, if you can, capture him." Pain says to us in a stern tone.

I nearly wince when he says Hidden Leaf and Itachi does too.

"Yes sir." I say with a smile, covering up my feelings and Itachi just nods and I head to my room.

I put my pouches on and I put my bible in my pouch that is strapped to my waist.

I sigh and I take my black fingerless gloves from my shelf and I look at them. "Fuck me. That's enough, stop it." I say and I slap my face lightly a few times and I put the gloves on.

I fix my hair and I walk out of the room with my hands in my pockets and I wait at the door for the two guys.

Once they get here, we head out and I stay quiet.

"Elly, you seem quiet." Kisame comments.

"Eh? Oh, I'm just thinking." I say and he nods.

After a while we get to the Leaf Village and I keep my hands in my pockets as I look around town, since people don't know me, they won't care.

I get intercepted by Kakashi and his eyes set on me and I look back up at him.

Of course there had to be one! One person in this entire village who intercepts me and is well informed about everything.

"Elly." He says shocked.

"Shit, so you do remember me." I say with a nervous smile.

"How could I not? You were feisty when we were kids and then." Kakashi trails off.

I scratch the back of my neck nervously as I look away.

"You look ok, where have you been?" Kakashi asks me.

I see Kisame and Itachi sneaking around. "In Iwagakure, I stumbled in there and a kind old woman took me in, seeing as I was, fragile, after all, I was dodging war zones." I say and he nods. "You seem ok as well, the slanted headband is new." I say and he nods.

"This happened after you left." Kakashi says to me.

"Oh." I say and an awkward silence fills between us.

"So uh." Kakashi attempts to say something but can't find any words.

"Yeah uh." I say and I fidget with my hands.

"What are you, um, well, doing here?" He asks me.

"Eh? Uh, oh, I don't really know, my teammates were assigned a mission and dragged me along, they told me to just wander while they get something." I say and he nods.

"Who are your teammates?" Kakashi asks me.

Crap.

"Oh, they became ANBU, so, as a joke I call them Weasel and Fish." I say with a nervous smile.

I'm a horrible liar.

"So are you ANBU?" Kakashi asks me as we start walking.

"I was, then it just got boring so I left, too many missions and it was thinning my hair out." I say and Kakashi nods. "What about you? The last I heard about you, you were Jonin." I ask him, trying to stall for Kisame and Itachi.

"Huh, oh." Kakashi chuckles. "Yeah, I became an ANBU after the last war due to me losing Obito and Rin, after a while I quit and became a Jonin again." Kakashi says to me and I nod. "Have you taught any Genin?" Kakashi asks me.

"No, I don't have the patience for it." I say and he nods. "What about you?" I ask him.

"One team, other teams couldn't pass my test." Kakashi says to me.

"That's nice, what are they like?" I ask him.

"Well, Sasuke claims to be an avenger, you remember Itachi right?" Kakashi asks me and I nod.

"Yeah, last I heard about him, he massacred the Uchiha." I say and Kakashi nods.

"He left Sasuke alive so now Sasuke wants revenge against him. Then there's Sakura, she's kind of like you when you were a kid, she is nice to some people and then rude to others, but she cares deeply for her team, and then there's Naruto, out of three of them, he's the most hardworking, he will do anything to achieve his dream of becoming Hokage." Kakashi says to me.

"So basically, they're misfits." I say and Kakashi sweat drops but nods. A thought comes to mind. "What happened to Kushina?" I ask.

"She died during the nine tails attack." Kakashi says carefully.

I nod with a frown. "Do you know where the next Jinchuriki for the Nine Tails is? Kushina told me if something were to happen to her, I was suppose to give something to the person." I say and Kakashi nods.

"Naruto went with Jiraiya to find Lady Tsunade so she can become the Fifth Hokage." Kakashi says to me and I nod and I smile at him.

"ELLY! Come on, hurry up!" Two people yell behind us down the road.

Kakashi looks at them. "You better get going then. It was nice seeing you again." Kakashi says to me.

I smile at him. "Yeah, it was nice to see you again as well, I better go and catch up to my team." I say and he nods. I turn around and run to the clones I made before coming into the village and we head out the gates and I jump up into a tree and kneel there and my clones disappear in a poof.

That, was fairly easy. Kakashi, you can be so gullible sometimes.

I wait for Kisame and Itachi to get here and they look at me.

"What the hell? Why didn't you help us?" Kisame asks me.

"I did." I say and I hold a glowing green hand over Itachi's eyes and I heal them to a good point. "There, that better?" I ask him.

"Yeah, thanks." Itachi says to me.

"Come on, I found out where the Nine Tails is going and I don't want to get caught by Lady Tsunade if they find her before we find them." I say and Kisame and Itachi look at me mildly shocked.

I take off running with the two behind me.

After a while we get to an outpost and Itachi uses his Sharigan to find a blonde boy but we see him with Jiraiya.

I seal my cloak and headband into a scroll and I put it in my pouch. The boys look at me confused as I walk up to them.

"Woah." Jiraiya says shocked as he looks at me up and down. "Elly, my you've grown in some good parts. You've got curves in all the right places." Jiraiya says to me with a smirk.

I sigh. "Thanks for the hello Jiraiya." I say and the blonde looks at me confused. "You must be Naruto." I say and he nods slowly. "I just heard a few words about you from Kakashi. He made you out to be a future hero." I say bending down to his height and he grins.

"Elly, what are you doing here and not in the Hidden Stone?" Jiraiya asks me.

"Eh, I took a vacation, old man was giving me too many missions and I was getting stressed." I say standing up straight again.

"With out any notice?" Jiraiya asks me unamused.

"What? I left a note." I say with a shrug and he sighs. "Besides, Old man couldn't care less if I went on a vacation or not, he'll just pass my missions off to Kurotsuchi anyways." I say and he nods.

"Who are you?" Naruto asks me.

"Oh, I'm Elly Senju, sorry for not introducing myself." I say to him.

The boys in the bushes watch me.

"So, who are the boys in the bushes watching you?" Jiraiya asks me.

"My team, they came after me with out permission either." I say and Jiraiya nods.

"Well, Elly, would you like to help us search for Tsunade? I know she'll want to see you after all these years." Jiraiya asks me.

I shake my head. "No, I'm good, I'm on my way back to Iwa anyways, besides, I'm not so sure I could even look her in the eyes after what I did." I say and he just smirks.

"Fine, but you have to come into the festival with me." Jiraiya says to me.

"Why?" I ask him.

"Because, if you don't, I'll drag you along with us to find Tsunade." Jiraiya says to me with a smirk.

"I really hate my threatening ways being used against me." I say and Jiraiya laughs at that.

"Alright Naruto, head up into the hotel room, I'll be back in a while." Jiraiya says giddy as he starts walking.

"WHAT?" Naruto yells at him.

"Sorry little buddy." I say to him with a nervous smile.

Me and Jiraiya head into the festival and we talk while playing games and after a while, I point out a woman staring at Jiraiya and he smirks at me.

"I'll see you around Elly." He says and goes off with her.

I let out a breath of relief after he gets out of sight.

Damn, lying to Jiraiya, that's a new low. But I don't think he suspected anything, I hope Kisame and Itachi did their part of the mission.

I walk out of the town and I wait in a clearing for a while and the two get here with out Naruto.

"You didn't stall Jiraiya long enough." Kisame says to me and my eye twitches in annoyance.

"I gave you two plenty of time." I say to them and Kisame snorts.

"It wasn't long enough and no one stalled Itachi's younger brother and what was all that about you saying you could look at Tsunade after what you did?" Kisame asks me.

"And this is why I don't like teaming up with anyone, its my private business, if you want to know more about me, then look up my last name from back when I was still in the Hidden Leaf, now, I'm going to blame the failure of this mission on you two since I did my part, I gathered information on Naruto, you two couldn't get him, nor were you able to gather information." I say to them.

Kisame growls in annoyance and we head back to the base and I put my cloak on and I put my headband back on around my thigh.

I head to the office with the two boys and Pain looks at us expentantly.

"The mission was a bust." I say and his eyes harden at us while I just look at him with a calm relaxed look. "I have information though." I say and he nods.

"Better than nothing." Pain says and I toss him a scroll and he dismisses me.

I head to my room and I take my pouches off and I take my gloves off and I leave them on my shelf.

I head into the bathroom and I shower and change into my normal training attire which is a black tank top with black leggings and normal black ninja sandals.

I tie my wet hair up into a pony tail and I head to the training field and I just use the basic Tai-Jutsu pole and I train in just normal hand to hand combat with out much strength.

After hours of nonstop training, seriously, no breaks, I stop and I'm sweating.

"Oh wow, the mighty Elly, can sweat." Hidan says with a smirk and I flip him off as I grab my water bottle and I down the water in it and he watches shocked

Once I finish, I wipe my bottom lip with the back of my thumb and I breath heavily and I untie my hair and it falls down my back to my waist and I let it stay there for a while as I bite my finger nail thinking of how I can speed up my attacks.

"Elly, Elly, Elly!" Someone says trying to get my attention and I stop biting my fingernail to look at Deidara.

"You wanted something?" I ask him.

"Your just standing there. What are you doing?" Deidara asks me.

"Thinking of ways to speed up my attacks." I say with a simple shrug and he ties my hair back up into a neater pony tail. "Why are you so good?" I ask him with slight annoyance.

"Have you seen this luxurious blonde hair? I mean come on." Deidara says to me.

"I almost forgot you were a narcissist." I say and he falls. "Jeez what a pain. I need some fresh air, I've been stuck down here too long." I say and I grab my empty water bottle and I drop it in the recycle as I pass by it and I head outside the base and I sit on a hill not far away.

I look up at the stars with a disappointed look and I sigh and pull my knees up to my chest.

I'm a disappointment, I wasn't a good sister, I ran away from home because I wasn't good enough to be her sister, then I head to the enemy village with out much thought of where I was going and I grow up there, then I get taken to the Akatsuki and I lie to two people who used to be really close with me, and I can't even look her in the eyes.

I rest my chin on my knee's as I look up again.

Dear Lord, I know I normally pray to you for strength to get through my days, but right now, I need your wisdom on how to get out of this situation, what do I do? Amen.

I close my eyes and I just sit there enjoying the breeze and someone sits beside me and I open one eye to see Itachi and I open my other eye and I look forward.

"Why are you here Itachi?" I ask him.

"You remember when we were kids, you and Tsunade would always fight, wouldn't you?" Itachi asks me.

"We clashed a lot, she was always in a horrible mood and I was just a kid who didn't know better." I say and Itachi nods.

"You can't look at her now, just like its hard for me to look at Sasuke." Itachi says to me.

"I can't face her, after what I said, after what I did, I don't have the courage to do it, I really am a horrible person." I say and Itachi nods.

"That makes two of us." Itachi says to me.

"You don't understand, I said one of the worst things I could say, it wasn't right of me to do it and I regret it, the guilt is a lot since she didn't deserve it." I say and Itachi nods. "I wouldn't be surprised if she never wants to see me after that." I say and he sighs.

I pull my hair down and I look at the blonde in my hair.

"Didn't you hair used to be full brown before?" Itachi asks me.

"It was, but after I left and finally understood what I did, I put the blonde streaks in." I say and Itachi nods.

A breeze passes us and lifts my hair up.

"I just hope, one day, I get to apologize to her for what I did, I don't want to be forgiven, but I just want to apologize." I say and Itachi nods in agreement.

"I wish that I could apologize to Sasuke and tell him the truth, but, I could never do that, instead I want to die by his hands and finally get some rest." Itachi says to me.

I nod. "We both want something we can't have, but we're settling for what we can get." I say and Itachi nods.

We look up at the stars for a while before head inside and I head to my room to see Konan and Pain, doing, a thing, that I won't explain. I close the door and head to the living room and I lay on the couch and I watch TV for a while and I shut it off before I fall asleep because Kakuzu will nag me about the electric bill if I don't.
