Dance practice was virtually hell for every member of TXT.

Today in particular, Yeonjun and Soobin were struggling.

The choreo was very difficult, even as admitted by the instructor. And after hours of going at it, the two still hadn't gotten a part down.

"Now come on you two. You can do this. You're just being lazy at this point.", the instructor said.

"We're sorry sir.", Soobin said.

"Sorry isn't enough! Your younger members are doing way better! Get it right!"

Kai, Taehyun, and Beomgyu stayed to the back.

They didn't want to get caught in the crossfire of the three.

"How about this? You all stay here until Yeonjun and Soobin get this dance correct. Do not leave this studio until they do."

The instructor angrily grabbed his bags and left.

Yeonjun and Soobin were extremely agitated. They were on their last nerves. Both boys had been trying as hard as possible, all day, but to no avail.

It takes more than a few hours for a lot of people to remember dances, so why are they being pressured so much?

"Hyungs, I can help.", Kai said.

"No thanks.", Yeonjun replied shortly.

"Are you sure? If you need help-"

"Do I look like I need help?", Yeonjun said.

He and Soobin turned to Kai.

"You think you're so perfect don't you? Because you can memorize a dance better?", Soobin said.

"No-"

"Then shut up! We don't need your help. You must think you are so much better than us right now, huh? Do you?!", Yeonjun yelled.

"No! I don't! I just want everyone to understand the dance!"

"Then let us do it! We're not stupid, Hueningkai, we can learn on our own.", Soobin said.

"I never called you stupid, why are you angry at me?"

"Because you always do this!", Yeonjun yelled, "You always try to make us feel lesser than you by saying we need help!"

"But...everyone needs help sometimes."

"And you love that, don't you? Feeling like you can save everyone with your extraordinary skills? You're not better than us Kai, you're not special.", Soobin replied.

Kai looked down at the ground.

"All I wanted to do was help..."

"Help yourself by leaving us alone! You are so annoying!", Yeonjun said angrily.

"I agree. Maybe let us figure it out without trying to prove to everyone how much of a showoff you are.", Soobin said.

Kai looked up at them. He then quickly picked up his bags, and his water bottle before turning back to them.

"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry...", he said before running out of the room.

Beomgyu and Taehyun went up to Soobin and Yeonjun.

"You guys are the worst people I know.", Taehyun said.

"What?", Yeonjun responded.

"Kai didn't do a thing to either of you! And you yelled at him? He had been nothing but helpful to the both of you, and you made him feel like crap for it!", Beomgyu yelled.

They had never seen him so angry.

"Don't be mad at him because YOU can't get a dance right!"

"Beomgyu is right. Kai would never treat you like you did him today.", Taehyun said quietly.

Yeonjun and Soobin looked at each other.

They realized how big of a mistake they made.

The group followed after Kai.

The hallways of the studio building were empty. No sound, no one. Not even staff.

The members went through the halls, looking for a sign of where Kai might be. Taehyun saw a door open on the right side of the hall.

"Kai?", he said, opening the door.

Sure enough, Kai was sitting on the floor, in the corner of the room. His legs were up to his chest, and his hood was over his face.

Yeonjun and Soobin were saddened at the sight of their maknae.

They slowly walked to him, sitting down on either side.

Kai lifted up his head, and they saw his red eyes, and tear-stained cheeks.

"Kai, we are so sorry. You didn't deserve for us to yell at you.", Soobin said.

"I didn't mean any of the things I said. I was angry at myself, but that still doesn't give me a reason to treat you the way I did.", Yeonjun added.

"Same here. I apologize for yelling, and for all the things I said.", Soobin agreed

Kai stared down.

Yeonjun and Soobin waited for a response from him.

After a few seconds, the maknae slightly smiled. He leaned onto Yeonjun, placing a hand on him.

The older member smiled as well.

"Group hug?", Soobin asked.

Kai nodded yes, and all the members piled into the corner, hugging one another.

"I'll never yell at you again Kai. And I'm if I do, you have permission to slap me.", Yeonjun said.

"You would like that wouldn't you?", Kai replied.

"Very much so."
