Kim Seonwoo is a perfectionist.

He dedicates his life to performing perfectly in all academic areas.

In his family, anything less than extraordinary, is useless. And Sunoo has had to make peace with that as he grew up.

College proved to be a true test for Sunoo.

Competing in a school with thousands of students would be challenging for anyone.  But the real problem wasn't his skill.

Sunoo is an exceptional learner in all meanings of the word.

But his mind was constantly in a battle with itself.

Right now, he was in a competition of mathematics.

"The answer is 16.", a boy said.

"Good guess. Any other guesses?", the instructor asked.

Sunoo tapped his pen on the table.

"12. It's 12.", he said.

Instructor nodded.

"Correct Seonwoo. Good job."

The other students in the room clapped.

The other boy competing leaned over to him.

"You think you're better than me, don't you?"

"What?"

"You think you can beat me? You're just a lab rat competing in a field of cats. You can't win a game you don't know how to play."

"Don't be angry because I'm smarter than you."

"You could never be smarter than me. You're probably not smart at all. Maybe you cheated. Did you cheat?"

"No."

"Ah, you did! You cheated!"

"No...I didn't."

Sunoo was getting angrier by the second.

Across the hall, in the counselors office, a conversation was happening.

"Mr. Counselor. I have a concern.", a secretary said.

"Yes?"

"It's about Kim Seonwoo."

"Really? The genius. What's your concern?"

"His father recently took him for a psychological evaluation. His doctor recommended it."

"And?"

"Kim Seonwoo has Dissociative Identity Disorder."

The Counselor looked up from his papers.

"His father just sent us the diagnosis report. Seonwoo has five distinct alters apart from himself."

"My god...I've never heard of that before."

"It gets worse."

"How so?"

"Seonwoo is unaware of this. He also hasn't been treated."

"Well...what are these alters?"

"The first one is the most dangerous. It's driven purely by anger."

"Seonwoo stop!"

"Leave him alone!"

Sunoo was currently involved in his first ever fight.

The boy had made him so angry that he just...snapped.

He now had a book in his hand, and was repeatedly hitting the boy with it. The other students watched in horror.

"Sunoo stop it!", someone yelled.

Sunoo stopped, book in hand, and turned around.

Jungwon stood there.

He quickly ran up and pulled Sunoo off of the boy.

"The second alter, is built on sadness."

Jungwon hugged Sunoo tightly as he started crying.

The younger didn't understand what was happening.

"Sunoo are you alright?", Jungwon asked.

"No...something's wrong with me Wonie.", he cried.

The teachers helped the other boy up, who looked at Sunoo with pure hatred.

"Heh, so much for a tough guy. You needed a book to beat me. Couldn't even use your hands."

Sunoo let go of Jungwon, standing up straight. He had suddenly stopped crying, and turned around to the other boy.

"The third alter is made from kindness. And the fourth, from attachment."

"I'm so sorry. Do you need help going to the nurse?"

The boy looked at him confusedly.

"I shouldn't have hit you. I'm so sorry. You can hit me back if you wish."

Jungwon's face went from confusion to concern.

Why was Seonwoo switching his mood so quickly?

"No, I don't want to hit you. I'll just, uh, go to the nurse by myself."

"Are you sure? I don't want you to be alone. I can go with you! Please?"

"I'm sorry. I can be so annoying sometimes. You probably hate me."

Everyone just stood there, looking at Seonwoo.

He looked around the room, seeing all eyes on him.

"Why are you staring at me? What did I do? Are you going to hurt me?"

Jungwon walked closer to him.

"No! Stay back! Please, I didn't do anything. Don't hurt me. I'm sorry!"

The Counselor and Secretary entered the room.

"Who are they?! Are they going to take me somewhere? I don't want to go!"

The Counselor got closer.

"Seonwoo, it's just me. The Counselor. You don't have to be scared."

"Who is Seonwoo? My name is Seoyeon. You have the wrong person! Please let me go."

The Counselor went up and hugged him.

Seonwoo tried to get away from his grasp, but the familiar hug made him relax.

He switched back to his regular self.

"W-what just happened?", Sunoo asked, looking around the room.

Jungwon came up and hugged him again.

"You scare me man.", he said.

"I'm sorry. Are you alright? Did I do all of this?"

"You did."

Counselor took hold of Seonwoo's hand.

"Let's go to my office. We need to discuss something."

As they were walking away, Seonwoo caught a glimpse of the boy he had beaten up.

He leaned over to Jungwon.

"What happened to him?"

"You happened."

"Heh, good. He deserved it."
