Artemis

I was nauseous, I was tired, and I was with a boy. He was nice, and he had cleaned my wounds, but I think I broke my leg in the fall.

"Excuse me Jórgé? Do you have any tape?" I asked

"Yeah, why?"

"I need it and that shelf right there." I said pointing to a shelf that had splie in half.

"Alright." He threw me the tape, which I easily caught, and grabbed the broken shelf before handing it to me.

"What do you need it for?" He asked me.

"I'm making a makeshift splint, I think I broke my leg." I replied while taping the two pieces of wood to my each side of my leg.

"How'd you know to do that?" I heard him ask.

"My mom was a nurse, and taught me how to do this." I replied as he sat next to me. There was a knock on the door and Jórgé looked like he had just seen a ghost.

"W-who's there?!" I asked, wishing I wasn't stuttering.

"My name's Reign, I'm fatigued, and this was the only place that seemed liable." I heard.

"Alright, give me a second and I'll let you in." I replied as I got up and started to unblock the door. I opened the door and there stood a boy, with dark hair. He fell into the makeshift bunker and Jórgé dragged him in.I blocked the door back up, to which he woke up right afterward.

"Thank you for letting me in." He said warily.

"No problem, the more the merrier. Take off your mask the air is clean up here." I replied and he did as told. He took a deep breath and sighed in relief. Jórgé looked out one of the boraded up windows where a crack was, and I saw him tense up.

"Guys, we got company." Reign rushed over and I limped as fast as I could, and we stood frozen.

The things.

They were everywhere.
