Traitor?

"You do know that I sometimes enjoy my privacy, right?"

"Yes. Do you know that I've seen you naked countless times?" Sirius smirked and leaned on the doorway. "And I still get starstruck every time."

"Charming." I rolled my eyes and wrapped the towel around me. "What do you want?"

"Can't a man enjoy seeing his wife fresh out of the shower instead of wanting something?"

"No. Now what do you want before I hex you out of this room." I said and took one of his shirts and a pair of sweats.

"You have got to stop stealing my clothes, sunshine." Sirius chuckled and sat on the bed.

"Our clothes." I smirked and got dressed. "And you're still not answering my question, Padfoot."

"Fine! I wanted to talk to you about something."

"And that is?" I raised my eyebrow and sat on the floor across from him.

"Well, the two of us have been spending a lot of time with Harry and seeing you with him acting all motherly and shit makes me want to have a baby right now. And I wanted to talk to you beforehand to see where your mind was at, I guess." He shrugged and I sighed.

"I want one, believe me. But not right now when-"

"We're on the frontlines and blah, blah, blah. I know, sunshine. I've heard it before. At first I agreed with you on that, but now we don't know if we'll ever get the chance! What if it doesn't die out for years? Then what? I want to raise a family with the woman I love. Is that too much to ask?" Sirius exclaimed and put his head in his hands. I stood up and sat down next to him and rubbed his back.

"Padfoot, I want to have a family with you. But we are both in the frontlines and I'm still technically a target since I know where the main hideout is because that's where I was kept. Bringing a baby into this will be even worse. I don't want to risk it. We still have time and we'll find a loophole in this war to finally end it so that all of us could be a family. I promise."

"I'm sorry for bringing this up again. I just fear that we may never get the chance." He shrugged and looked at the window. "Tonight would've been a perfect night for stargazing at the astronomy tower."

"Sometimes I miss school, you know? I miss the mischief, the detentions and Peeves. But I think I miss the innocence most of all." I mumbled.

"Innocence? Sunshine if I remember correctly we never had much innocence to begin with." Sirius laughed and sat me on his lap.

"But we didn't have a war breathing down our necks every second. We were allowed to be kids and cause mischief. It all changed when we graduated, I guess." I shrugged.

"Do you regret getting married at eighteen?" Sirius asked and I shook my head. "I don't either."

"Honestly, the marriage and Harry being born have the highlights of these past two and a half years. I love that fawn so much." I smiled.

"I love the fact that a fucking stag and a doe had a baby."

"You just love the fact that you get to call him Bambi ever since Lily forced you to watch the movie just to spite Prongs." I chuckled and hugged him. "But he is a really cute fawn, isn't he?"

"He's even cuter than you and Prongs." Sirius smirked and pulled me closer.

"I'm taking offense to that. No baby is allowed to be cuter than me. Even if he is my godson."

"Whatever floats your broom, sunshine."

...

"Didi, what the hell happened to you!?"

"Severus Snape happened. I'm just lucky to get out of there before I got killed." I mumbled clutching my side. "They're relentless."

"Please tell me that he looks worse than you." James said and helped me walk towards the sofa. "Lily, get some rags, water and my wand. She's bleeding.

"Believe me, he is. Malfoy had to drag him out of there." I sighed and looked at the ceiling when I felt something nudge my leg.

"Padfoot, not now. Didi, take off your shirt, I need to see your ribcage." James nudged Sirius away and helped me lift my shirt. "Merlin's beard, Jade. It's a miracle you still have flesh on you."

"Shut up, Bam Bam. I had to drag Dorcas out of the scene after Snape and Malfoy left." I rolled my eyes and Sirius nudged my face with his nose. "I'm okay, Pads. It's just a scratch."

"It's always just a damn scratch with you, isn't it? Lily, I need the rags!" James yelled.

"Give me a minute! Harry took them and I'm trying to take them back! I told you to close the cabinets!"

"It's not my fault that my sister decided to get hurt and drag her ass in here!"

"You're saying that as if I planned for this to happen!" I protested as Lily walked in and screamed once she saw me. "Hi, Lils."

"Who the hell did this to you!?" She asked and sat Harry next to Sirius who had his head in my lap.

"Snape. They're becoming more violent. I'm just lucky that Dorcas and I are still alive."

"Dorcas was there too!?" I nodded and Lily sat down next to James on the floor. "Did she-"

"No. I took most of the blows, though. And OW! That hurts, James." I winced when James started to clean my rooms.

"You wanna know how it will stop hurting? If you stop asking for death every chance you get." James rolled his eyes and continued to clean my wounds. "Please tell me that whenever you decide to have a baby, this will stop."

"I think we can both agree that I'll continue to kick some ass even when pregnant." I laughed and winced again. Sirius noticed and sat up and licked my face. "What have I told you about you licking my face, Pads?"

He glared but I smiled and scratched his ear. James put some pressure on the wound and I had to hide my face in Sirius' fur to prevent me from screaming.

"Lily, does this look right to you?"

"James I swear to Merlin, if you break any of my bones, I'll break you." I mumbled and Sirius whined and put a paw on my shoulder.

"Jade, I'm going to put some more pressure on your ribcage okay?" Lily asked and I nodded. Lily pressed on the wound and I started to cry from the pain. "Okay, that's it I think."

"This might sting a little, Vix." James chuckled and started to heal my wounds. I sighed and leaned back. Lily grabbed Harry and sat him on my lap.

"Hey there, Bambi. You're auntie is just a bit busted from fighting the bad guys, but I'm okay now." He smiled and I kissed his forehead. "Has anyone seen Moony?"

Everyone in the room visibly tensed and Sirius moved away from me.

"We don't talk about Remus, Didi." James mumbled and wiped his hands.

"What happened?" I looked at Sirius who refused to look at me. "Sirius Orion Black the third, you best change right now and you tell me what the hell happened to Remus or I swear to Salazar Slytherin you'll end up in a worst state that I'm in."

Sirius jumped down and changed back.

"Sunshine-"

"Tell. Me. Now." I glared at him. Sirius sighed and handed Harry to James.

"We'll leave you two alone. Don't put pressure on the wound, Didi." James mumbled and left with Lily.

"Sirius-"

"He's the traitor, Jade! I know it!" Sirius said and I glared at him. "Don't give me that look."

"I'll give whatever look I bloody want, Sirius! Remus? A traitor? I just simply find that hard to believe." I laughed and stood up.

"Jade, the evidence is right there!" Sirius protested and I rolled my eyes.

"Who's secretkeeper?" I asked him.

"Wormtail. We're doing the spell soon. And don't change the subject."

"Well at least you lot listened to me on one thing." I said sarcastically. "And Remus is not a traitor, Sirius. There's no evidence."

"He leaves for weeks on end and doesn't say anything! He also acts really sketchy. That's the evidence!" Sirius stated and I started to laugh.

"Then let's look at my evidence, shall we? Let's see. Remus Lupin, our best friend. He's a marauder, got us out of detention plenty of times, wiped my tears countless times when you were being a dick. He was also your best man at our wedding. Let's not forget that he was the one who convinced Snape to save my sorry ass back when I was on my fucking deathbed during fifth year. Called Prongs out on his bullshit countless times. He's my Moony, Sirius. Remus was one of the people directly involved when I was rescued. Does that sound like a traitor to you?"

"Why are you defending him, Jade?" Sirius glared at me.

"Because he's my friend, Sirius. I would defend any of you boys in a damn heartbeat. We all swore to stick together and you're just saying bullshit. Remus is not a traitor. That boy doesn't have an evil bone in his body. If anything, I'm more probable to become a traitor. I am a snake after all." I smirked knowing I struck a nerve.

"Jade, listen-"

"No, Sirius. You listen. I refuse to stand here and listen to you talk shit about the man we willingly became animagi for. Or did you seem to forget that? We all made a vow that this war wouldn't tear us apart. And guess what? You're letting it tear us apart! My best friend is anything but a traitor, Sirius. And that's all I'm going to say on the matter. Either you get your head out of your Gryffindor ass and realize that you're being irrational and stupid, or we're done having this conversation. Stop fitting the Gryffindor stereotype of being dumbasses and use your fucking logic once in a while." I crossed my arms and gave him a look.

"I'm not being irrational, Jade. And I'm not fitting the stereotype that your house has for mine." Sirius rolled his eyes and I scoffed.

"Right, right. I'm fitting my own stereotype in being evil and heartless. I'm not arguing with you about this because I know how stubborn you could be. Either drop the subject or you're in for a long night of me proving that you're wrong." Sirius sighed and nodded.

"Fine, we're not talking about this. But I'll prove to you that Remus is a traitor."

"I would love to see you try."
