Not Everything is in Appearance
I didn't even have my schedule yet, so I just wound up spending the entire day in Ray- Mr. Toro's- music room, doodling in my sketchbook and just trying to figure out what to do once school was over.
No way in hell was Mikey gonna let me back home, and my dad would probably beat the crap outta me if I even tried. My shoulders slumped with exhaustion, and I stared down at the drawing of my grandma and my mom, the two people I wanted back more than anything in the world.
It hurt. Most people would just tell me to get over it and move on, life keeps going, but to me, they were my life. And I lost that.
It took me a moment to realize that Mr. Toro was trying to get my attention. My eyes snapped to him and I immediately hid my sketchbook from his sight.
"Gerard, this is Frank, my best student. He might be able to help you with your... Situation... "
My gaze shifted to the man whom was addressed as Frank earlier. He was around five feet tall, shorter than me, with a lip ring and long black hair that framed his high cheekbones. His hazel eyes regarded me with calm indignation, like he could care less who I was. Taking a moment to study him, I nod.
"Alright. I'm Gerard Way. Nice to meet you, Frank... " I say softly, voice wavering.
He rolled his eyes and looked at Ray. "What have I told you about dragging me into things, Mr. Toro?! I don't want to help this guy. " I blinked, taken aback by his words.
Ray shot Frank a look and sighed. I averted my gaze and lowered my head, prepared to walk from the room.
