Joe
I grabbed Ashley's hand and carried her through the crowd, I ran to Colby while she ran to Becky. I'm already crying and I haven't even seen how bad his wounds are.

"Colby, it's me Joe!"

I shook him slightly and he barely opened his eyes, I can sense how week he is. I couldn't exactly see where his wound is, I'm trying to see but all I can see is blood.

"Hey hey, where's it hurting?"

He poked to his right shoulder, I could now clearly see the gunshot hole, I took off my jacket and wrapped it around the wound. I can see how pale he's turning and there isn't any ambulances here yet. As soon as the second gunshot went off Randy was gone, I still cannot believe he's still alive I feel my stomach turning just knowing that. I can hear Ashley screaming Becky's name and I fear for the worst, I try to keep my focus on Colby but I can see the worry clear as day on his face.

"Go to her..."

"I can't leave you Colby."

"Go to her! Tell her I love *cough cough* her..."

I got up and ran towards Becky and Ashley. I could see the blood covering Ashley's jeans.

"I don't know what's wrong! She isn't responding! She isn't moving! She's just lifeless!"

I kneeled down next to her and looked Becky over, I could see all the bruises all over her. There was ones going across her neck like someone had been strangling her, ones all up her arms and that's all I could see now. I took Ashley's jacket off her and looked for an injury on Becky but I couldn't find one. All the armed officers ran over to move Lily, one was trying to keep Lily alive. The gun went off and I saw Lily fall to the floor, all I keep seeing in my head is Becky screaming and then a gunshot, or Colby falling to the ground bullet in him.

"Why isn't she moving?!"

Ashley was pleading with me and I couldn't give her the answer she wanted, because I honestly don't know myself. I can see how shaky Becky's breathing is, she needs a hospital and now! I hear more sirens and see the ambulances pulling up. I kiss Ashley on the head before running back over to Colby who was bleeding out.

"Colby?"

I got no response, I heard Ashley call out so I did the same. It wasn't long until paramedics pushed me out of the way, I looked over to Becky and they'd pushed Ashley away too. I could see the blood all over Ashley and I could see it all over me too. I walked over to her and pulled her into my chest and let her sob into my blood sodden shirt.

"What if something goes wrong? What if we lose one of them? What happens then?"

"Shush, let's not think like that okay!"

"Why isn't he dead? I killed him, I stabbed him and now I find out he's still alive."

"I don't know Ash..."

"I killed him and now he's back and he's been torturing Becky for weeks! What if all three of them don't make it Joe?"

"That won't happen!"

Her sobs were getting even louder so I pulled her back so I could see her face.

"They'll be okay! They've got the paramedic's looking after them!"

I heard the shock machine and we both snapped our heads around, just to see they were shocking Lily. I heard a sigh of relief from Ashley as she fell back into my chest.

"When's Galina getting back from Germany with the kids?"

"Can we not think about that now?"

She nodded slightly, I know she's just trying to distract herself but I don't want to think about Galina or the kids right now.

"Who's going with who?"

"Oh I'm going with Colby she's going with Becky"

I looked behind me and saw Colby getting taken towards an ambulance, he had a tube down his throat and an IV attached to his arm. I kiss Ashley before walking behind the stretcher, I sat alongside him in the ambulance and I feel my tears fall. I feel like I've failed him, failed them both. Becky is like my sister and Colby he's always been family and with family it's always your duty to protect them. Now they're both sitting in the back of an ambulance, The paramedics keep throwing me these sad smiles and it isn't helping, he may be stable but what if he can't breath without those tubes. What if he never breathes on his own again, what if he'll never be normal again.

"He's stable, he should be okay..."

I see the younger paramedic smiling at me, as if she could hear my thoughts.

"I'm just so afraid of losing him."

"I understand, I lost my cousin she died last year of a heart condition. I miss her like crazy, her name was Hope and she was lovely. Not that your gonna lose him, I just understand that's all."

I nodded my head and gave my condolences about her cousin. I heard the sirens go off and felt the ambulance come to a halt. It wasn't long until the doors were opened and we were greeted by a team of nurses and doctors. I stepped aside and watched as they took him into the hospital. I saw another ambulance pull into the bay alongside me and watched as Ashley fell out, I peeled her off the floor and she clung onto me tightly. I watched them bring Becky out of the ambulance one of the paramedics was doing compressions, I covered Ashley's face so she couldn't see what was going on. I see now that the gun shot hit Becky's left chest, i hold Ashley tightly as they take Becky into the hospital.

"I'm gonna lose her!"

She spoke through the tears and I pulled her even closer to me.

"Let's get you inside yeah?"

She nodded and I practically carried her into the hospital.

Colby
I've just woken up and my shoulder is killing me, I look around and see I'm attached to multiple machines. I start taking out the wires and I see a nurse rush to stop me.

"Sir they are giving you your vitals please don't pull them out!"

"I need to see my wife!"

"All in good time!"

"No I need to see her now!"

"If you give me her name I can go and see how she's doing."

"Please you don't understand I need to see her."

I see Joe emerge from around the corner with Ashley on his hip.

"You've just come out of an operation you need to take things easy!"

She started hooking me back into the wires that I'd pulled out.

"Now I'll go see how she's doing, what's her name?"

"Rebecca, Rebecca Lopez..."

"I'll be right back sir."

I see him walk off and Joe and Ashley take his place.

"Do you know anything?"

They both shook there heads.

"We came to see you, they told us you were coming round."

"I just want to see her, why don't they understand?!"

"It's not safe for you, just listen to the people if not for anyone else's sake do it for Becky."

I nodded and shuffled over slightly so Ashley could sit down. She does look terrible but I honestly can't blame her.

"Colby!"

I turn my head and see my sister running towards me, her little boy jumped up onto the bed.

"Careful baby."

"Sorwy!"

I ruffled his hair slightly and spoke gently.

"It's okay buddy."

She picked him up and pulled over a plastic chair to sit down in.

"I got here as fast as I could. He was playing up in the car!"

"It's fine, I'm glad your here Krisi."

"Where's Becca?"

"I don't know!"

I said in defeat, I watched her put Luis down on the chair and come and give me hug.

"Look things will get better, I'm just glad your okay. She will be too, she's a fighter you both are."

"Thanks Krisi..."

I nudged her shoulder away and saw the nurse was coming back.

"She's in surgery, it's taking longer than expected because the bullet spilt into fragments. She's very lucky to be alive, if the bullet was even a millimetre over it could've burst one of her main arteries."

I don't feel relieved at all, if anything I'm all the more anxious. I need a moment alone to process all my thoughts, I know  none of them will give it to me because they think I'll do something stupid. I just really don't want to snap or shout at any of them, Krisi see's the look in my eyes and picks up Luis.

"Should we go and see if they have any dinosaur cookies downstairs!"

"Yay!"

"Do you want Auntie Joe and uncle Ashley to take you?"

I heard his little giggles as he pointed towards Joe and Ashley.

"You mean Aunty Ashy and Uncie J"

"Oh silly mummy!"

She handed him over to Ashley and they went downstairs, Krisi turned back to me.

"Look I know I haven't been here when you needed me most which is a pretty shitty move and I'm sorry!"

"It's not your fault."

"And it's not yours either. I know you feel like it is but that family is pure poison, you should be glad you found her in time."

"What if I didn't?"

"She's going to make it, she's always been strong. She came back from paralysation for God's sake!"

"Becky has always been the strong one even back when we were just friends. She's always been tough!"

"So why would today be any different! Lily is one crazy bitch so don't you dare blame yourself for her actions!

She pulled me into another hug.

"I'll never be able to live with myself if she doesn't make it!"

"You know just as much as I do that she will make it."

"But...but"

"No buts she'll be fine!"

"Sir!"

I turned and saw the nurse from earlier standing alongside my bed.

"She's awake!"

My eyes went wide and I went to pull out my wires.

"Stop, you can see her but no taking out the wires!"

I nodded and he called for a porter, maybe she really will be okay...

A/N: Today it occurred to me that the hardest part of writing a story is not the chapters but coming up with a decent title for each chapter and the book it self. Like it's taking me a good five minutes to think of one!
