Next up on the list, we have the group's shy little princess, Esmery. Coming from a mixed blood family, Esmery had a hard time getting along with others while living with her father in Zarg’s capital. Nonetheless, she was raised well and “proper”, having a basic education and good life. However, things took a turn for the worse as her father found himself in trouble with numerous organizations for not being able to pay off his family’s inherited debit. In a moment of desperation he decided to take the two of them and run. It doesn’t last long, as soon after Esmery come home one day to find your father dead. Before she can process it, she finds herself being dragged off. She spent the following 2 years working as a “indentured servant” in a[....insert-place....]. However, one night after being dragged to death’s door by another beating, she found a “friend”, someone who offered her a way out, a way to disappear from this place, a way to escape this life. And all she had to do was say, “Yes”...And so she did. Thus, on that night, Esmery was reborn. With her new powers she was able to escape, leaving her jailers unaware. She became one with the very shadows and it was after being returned to freedom did she realize how nothing was ever free. The “friend” was actually a demon, on of darkness and illusions, it had linked their souls in a mutual bind. Who ever died first takes it all, and being ageless, the demon liked his chances. Now, Esmery walks the world, savoring her freedom and looking for a way to pay back it’s cost.

I personally liked this one, mainly because, when writing this my friend said she wanted her character to be surrounded by death. But she didn't want to be a necromancer, so instead, she just made a deal with the devil.... yay?
