Ch.5 -The Goblin Camp
Deep inside the forest, a dense collection of tents and simple structures are grouped together, outlining their perimeter is a very shabby and weak looking fence made from rotten sticks and some bushes. The camp is very much alive, with dinner time fast approaching they run about in a hurry, quickly trying to get their tasks done so they can go about filling their bellies. Only two goblins, standing at main entrance of the camp, are excluded from the pre-meal rush. casting a hungry glance back into the camp, they continue to guard their posts, staring into the endless expanse of trees, which are slowly getting darker as dusk approaches.
Unbenowest to the two guards, they, along with the rest of the camp, were being watch. Poached in forest, both the Drow, Damaia and a goblin-fied Cole carefully inspected the camp, attempting to come up with a plan for what to do next. From what they could tell, their were an even 20 goblins inside the camp, they were being lead by someone inside the central tent, who had yet to leave the said tent. Now according to their original plan, at this point, the two rogues were supposed to return to their party, so as to come up with some semblance of a plan..... preferably one with more coordination then their last battle.
Cole, "Hold on a sec, I'll be right back."
Cole, finding himself uncomfortable with simply leaving, decided to enter the camp. However, not wanting to chance the front entrance, with his inability to speak goblin, he scaled the crude fence, and went about trying to sneak around the numerous tents. And while he had some trouble navigating his illusion-body, it seemed that his skills as a rogue had prevailed this time around. However, unbeknownst to Cole, he had long since been spotted by numerous other goblins in the camp, who did their best to hold back their laughs as "one of their own" was clumsily and hilariously making his way around the camp, all of this was witnessed by Damaia, who did in fact laugh a bit. The camp, thinking little of the "stealthy" jester, paid him little mind, going back to their own business.
Cole was able to reach the central tent "unnoticed", where he was able to see the goblin's leader bellow out orders to a few goblins who scuttled off. The leader was a human male, geared in heavy armor and covered in dirt, and while Cole was still a distance away, he managed to make out that the man was talking to himself, though the contexts of his rambling eluded him. Not wanting to risk getting closer without consulting his partner, Cole decided to head back, this time leaving through the front gate. Joining back up with Damaia, Cole shared what information he was able to gather.
Coming to the conclusion, that it was best if they acted immediately, Cole and Damaia started drafting a plan to sneak into the leader's camp, and get some more "direct" information from him. With the rest of their party being a good hour away, a frontal assault wouldn't be ideal, neither would simply sneaking in, as Damaia was able to conclude from Cole's attempt. They spend a good minute in thought before Cole comes up with an idea.
Cole, "You could try seducing your way in!"
Damaia, "Ha, No."
Cole, ".....What about if I take you prisoner? I'll say I beat you and wanted to take you to the boss."
Damaia, "That could work, only....can you speak goblin?"
Cole, "Don't worry about it."
Goblin Cole waves her of giving an excited smile, flashing his illusionary canines.

The two goblin guards stomach's were growling, dinner had just started, and there they where. Had it not been for their fear of the new leader, they would have long ago since dived into the food alongside their brethren. Giving out a set of sighs, they slump a little at their own misery. They didn't very much like it but rebellion always meant punishment when it came to this new leader.
Snap!
Suddenly, they are jolted by the arrival of the goblin who had just left not to long ago, but ultimately what caught their attention was the elegant and beautiful looking she-elf standing in front of them. Her dark skin seemed to disappear into the growing dark, only her vibrant eyes and light hair stood as contrast to this. Both her hands were bound and being led by the goblin in front of them. Wanting to know who this was, and what had happened in the 6 minutes that he had left.
Goblin Guard 1, "Dang brother! Where did you find yourself a she-elf?"
Goblin Guard 2, "Yah, are you hiding them somewhere, if so think we could get a few for our selves? Hehehehe."
Both of them began questioning this new guy, who was apparently strong enough to take down and subdue this fully healthy, and armed Dark elf, not only alone, but with out some much as injuring her.
Mysterious Goblin, "......"
'This guy.' Thought both of the guards. He seemed to either be deaf or not care for answering them. All he did was smile and nod his head, yet he seemed so sure of himself that the tow of them would have punched him, were it not for their fear of this mysterious goblin and interest in his quarry. Begrudgedly, they decided move out of the way, allowing the goblin and his dark elf to pass into the camp.

~The Real World~
Wendelin's player, "Why did that work!?You don't even speak goblin!!!"
Cole's player chuckles, "It's all in the smile."
He gives everyone a smug smile, showing what he means.
Wendelin's player, "That's b******t! Suffer with me!"
Everyone else, "......"
Nezarec's player, "I roll to punch Wendelin."
"Hey!"
The DM laughs uncontrollably, nearly flipping his pizza of the table.

Quickly arriving in front of the leader's tent, the rogue duo prep for the approaching confrontation, Cole loosens Damaia's bonds, making it so that she'll be able to defend herself. While Damaia enters to get the information from the leader, Cole would wait outside, where he'll make sure no one else enters. Upon entering the room, Damaia spots the leader, who turns to see who entered his tent. His gaze initially is leveled slightly onwards, obviously expecting a goblin, but with a little surprise, his gaze quickly travels upwards until it he locks onto Damaia's gaze. Taking a secondary glance at her ears, the male begins to speak, not in Common, but Elvish.
"What are you doing here dark one? Why would my goblin's bring you to me?"
Surprised, but quickly recovering, Damaia responds, "They're your men, shouldn't you know the answer to that? Who are you any way?"
Now, any common-sensed individual would never...."I am Franklin Bauer the 4th, Captain of the Royal Guard, and now leader of this here camp."
...........
Letting his words sink in, placing an armored hand on his sword's hilt Frank continues, "Now, tell me where do you come from, and why I shouldn't kill you now."
"I was headed towards the capital, but I came upon burnt this burnt down group of carts, then your littles friends grabbed me and dragged me to this place. Actually, was it you guys who did that to those carts?"
"No, it wasn't us", Frank pauses momentarily,"But I was there when it happened."
A faint glimmer of light seems to pass through his eyes, and he begins to speak again, but this time in a more crazed tone, "It was beautiful, but I was to weak, to unprepared. My men and I had been tasked with assisting an excavation near the border of Eastmarch, there, what we unearthed was a derelict relic, from a time long before, but something we did must have had woken it. I heard it call out to me, I heard these whispers in my head, showing me how I could use it's power for my own. I managed to convince some of my men to help me take it, but before we could, everything suddenly burst into flames, almost instantly half of my men, and those fools from the Library, were dead....by the time I realized where the fames were being sent from, there were only a handful of us left, but we didn't care. The voice, it had once been a whisper, it was screaming then, and I knew that all I needed to do was to get ahold of it, and I would be unstoppable. But before I could get close, I was knocked into the shrubs by one of my men, who then exploded, and I was knocked unconscious."
At this point, Frank had gone full monologue, not even caring about Damaia. He was staring at his own desk, where there lay a tattered piece of leather, etched with barely recognizable pictures. It depicted a strange horn, seemingly made out of some creatures bone, it was easy to conclude that this was the, now awoken, relic that Frank was so obsessed with. But despite figuring that out, Damaia felt that something was missing. Looking at Frank, who was still in mid monologue, she cuts in with her own question. Remembering of her companion outside, she quickly changed over into speaking common.
"Do you know who it was that stole the relic away from you?"
Frank stopped talking, surprised at the sudden change in language, but quickly glared at Damaia, whether he was angry at her for interrupting him or reminding him of his loss, it was hard to say. But regardless, it seemed that Frank was still in a chattering mood, as he quickly replied.
"How could I forget, that damn boy, he doesn't deserve to be near that power. He was the one who initially asked his father to send us to that ruin", gritting his teeth, Frank's skin slowly turned red, his next word were spoken in obious disdain, but that did little to reduce the surprise on both Damaia and Cole.
"It was 'his royal highness', 1st son the Emporer and next in line to rule Emora, 1st prince Allister Von'Doom."

Yo, sorry for the slightly longer update, have been busy with school, life and other stuff so it's been slipping my mind to update this. many apologies =P
Anyway, I've decided to drag out my friends adventures a bit more, primarily because we've only met to play a handful of times.
(Apparently it's really hard for 10 people to meet up just to play a fantasy-rpg.)
So, prepare yourselves!
Till next time, stay safe out there!
