Shockwave's Lab....

Days had passed since Sideswipe and Shockwave met, Sideswipe kept aiding his Dinobot family. When Sideswipe encounters Shockwave, he outsmarts and evades him as Shockwave is impressed and frustrated that no bot was able to do that.

Shockwave hired four Decepticons to capture Sideswipe. The first one is a black and gold redeco of Tarantulas named Silker. The second is a red seeker named Red Wing. The third is a teal and white beastformer named Leozack. The fourth is a red-orange and yellow seeker named Hot Link.

Shockwave: I have a job for you *shows the Decpticons a holographic image of Sideswipe*  I need you to capture this young bot, his name id Sideswipe. Don't underestimate him, he is raised by the Dinobots as he outsmarted me and evaded me, so prevent him from going into hiding. Once you captured him, bring him to me alive.

Silker: Understood *turns to his cohorts* let's get going.

Silker and hid group left Shockwave's lab as Shockwave readies the table for Sideswipe once he is captured.

Sideswipe is practicing doing his T-Rex roar as it went poorly, no matter how hard he tried.

Sideswipe: *roars weakly then sighs* It's so hard to do Grimlock's roar.

Sideswipe grabs his energon bottle and drinks it, he looks at the underground energon river and thinks back about Grimlock's lesson about doing his roar.

(Flashback)

Grimlock: The secret of doing me Grimlock's roar is finding your inner beast and release it out.

Sideswipe: How?

Grimlock: That is something for you to find out.

(Flashback ends)

Sideswipe hears the sound of footsteps as he readied himself to fight.

Sideswipe: Who's there?

The footsteps were getting closer as Silker and his gang arrived.

Red Wing: That must be Sideswipe that he hired us to capture him.

Sideswipe: He? He who?

Red Wing: *launches a missile at Sideswipe*

Sideswipe: *dodges the missile* Okay, I guessed you're not going to answer me.

Silker: Remember, he needs him alive.

Silker shoots webs at Sideswipe as they sticked to his peds. Sideswipe bends down to pull them free until Hot Link tases him.

Sideswipe: Aaaah!!! *fells to the ground* ughhnnn *looses consciousness*

Leozack: Shockwave, we have the young bot.

Shockwave (comm unit): Excellent, bring him to my lab.

Leozack: Understood.

Meanwhile...

Grimlock came back from a solo patrol as he arrived back at the base, he checks around to see if Sideswipe came back to  the base. Sideswipe told him that he's gonna practice his roar outside the base, then Grimlock told him that he can stay out for 10 minutes until he has to come back.

Slug: Grimlock, have you seen Sideswipe?

Grimlock: Me Grimlock was gonna ask the same was gonna ask the same to you. Sideswipe had promised Grimlock that he comes back after his practice for 10 minutes and it's been over 10 minutes.

Slug: Sideswipe must've lost track of time or took a detour.

Grimlock: *contacts Sideswipe* Sideswipe, it's been over 10 minutes, where are you?

*no response*

Grimlock: Odd....Sideswipe always answers his commlink, something must've happened to him.

Slash: I'm afraid so, Grimlock *Grimlock and Slug turn to Slash* Sideswipe has been captured by a group of Decepticons.

Slug: What!?! How?!

Slash: He was at the underground energon river then four Decepticons appeared as they webbed and tased him.

Grimlock: We need to find him! They must've been hired by Shockwave, and he'll do whatever he could to make Sideswipe tell our location. Lead the way, Slash.

Grimlock and Slug followed Slash to the underground river to track the Decepticons that captured Sideswipe.

Sideswipe groans as he recovers from that taser that the Decepticons gave him. He realized that he is strapped on a table as he looked at his surroundings and saw that he is in a lab. Then he heard footsteps approaching and saw who his captor is.

Sideswipe: Shockwave! My arch-nemesis. I should of known that it was you who hired those Decepticreeps to capture just so that you can make me into your test subject!

Shockwave: Illogical. I don't intend on making you into my test subject yet, Sideswipe. I only hired the Decepticons to bring you to me alive for interrogation. I cannot allow you to go into hiding again. Now that I have you, you will tell me the exact location of the Dinobots or I will force you to reveal their hiding place.

Sideswipe: Go frag yourself, One-Eyed Freak! Do you really think I would reveal my Dinobot family's hiding place easily? Think again! Force me whatever you want, Shockwave! You'll never break me!

Shockwave approaches and stares at Sideswipe as the young bot stares his reflection of Shockwave's red optic as the captor and captive remained silent until Shockwave broke the silence.

Shockwave: I find your remark to be...logic. Very well, if you want to do this the hard way. Then I'll get my special equipment.

Shockwave heads towards the drawers and opens them and pulls out the cortical psychic patch. He turns around and approaches Sideswipe. Sideswipe looks at Shockwave's device curiously.

Sideswipe: What is that?

Shockwave: A cortical psychic patch, I developed this and used this to attach the cybertronian's mind to another for information.

Sideswipe: So, it's like some kind of...mind-reading device?

Shockwave: I find your reply to be logic.

Shockwave places the connection rod on the back of Sideswipe's helm as he places the other of the back his helm.

(In Sideswipe's mind)

Sideswipe and Shockwave were at a dark space only being illuminated by one light.

Sideswipe: This is what the inside of mind looks like? Hmm, I thought it would show something instead of being blank.

Shockwave: That's the idea, Sideswipe. You are thinking of nothing, in order to see something in your mind, you have to think of something.

Sideswipe: Ooohh...Thanks for the tip!

Sideswipe grunts as he tries to think of an illusion, but nothing happened as Shockwave looks at him awkwardly.

Shockwave: What are you doing?

Sideswipe: Trying to think of an imagination.

Shockwave: That's now how it goes, you have be calm and think what illusion you want it to be. For now, let's find the memory of the Dinobots hideout.

Sideswipe's optics widen and tries to punch Shockwave. But to his surprise, his fist phased through Shockwave.

Sideswipe: Huh!?!

Shockwave: Something else I should inform you. When someone else is in your head and you tried to harm someone, they won't get hurt as you tried to strike me, but you end up phasing me.

Shockwave turns around to find the memory of the Dinobots, Sideswipe tries to think of something to prevent then he thought of something.

Sideswipe: Hey, Shockwave! I have a question. How do you disconnect yourself from the cortical psychic patch?

Shockwave: The disconnection has to be done properly, if the disconnection is done prematurely then the cybertronian's subconscious mind will be stuck in the other's mind.

Sideswipe: Okay *then he lunges around Shockwave although he is phasing through Shockwave*

Shockwave: What are you doing?

Sideswipe: I'm going to disconnect you and you're gonna be trapped inside my head or the other way around.

Shockwave: Don't be stupid, Sideswipe. You are restrained outside of your subconscious mind, only I can disconnect the cortical psychic patch.

Sideswipe: Then disconnect it or I find another way that will make us trap here or something that'll destroy us and our bodies would be empty shells.

Shockwave: I find your threat to be....illogic.

Sideswipe: Am I? Oh, I have my ways of doing things that I shouldn't.

Sideswipe and Shockwave stared at each other for a while until Shockwave complied.

Shockwave: Fine *Shockwave disconnects himself from Sideswipe*

(outside of Sideswipe's mind)

Shockwave removes the connection cable from Sideswipe.

Shockwave: You got lucky, Sideswipe. But, the next time I capture you...you won't be so lucky.

Shockwave puts the cortical psychic patch on the table.

Shockwave: Perhaps, I take some tests on you, to see what made you like that. *picks up a needle and approaches Sideswipe*

Sideswipe struggles to get free from his restraints, but no luck.

Shockwave: Relax, I'll be doing a CNA test on you based on your heritage.

Shockwave injects the needle on Sideswipe's arm and extracts the CNA. Sideswipe had stopped struggling when the CNA extraction made him sleepy.

Shockwave puts Sideswipe's CNA in the test tube as the computer scans it. Then the results came as Shockwave looks at them and something fascinates him.

Shockwave: This is I don't find it logical. You are 100% Velocitronian, how did you end up on Cybertron?

Sideswipe: I didn't came from Velocitron. I am born on Cybertron, my parents are from Velocitron.

Shockwave: Who are your parents? Are they Autobots or Decepticons?

Sideswipe: How should I know? I lost my mother as a kid and I don't know who my father is.

Shockwave: There are two Decepticons I know that are Velocitronians. One being a big brute and the other being a doctor.

Sideswipe (sleepily): When I get free tell them I said "hi".

Shockwave: You could hardly move now after I had extracted your CNA, it'll be illogical for you to free yourself in a state like that.

Sideswipe tried not to fall asleep, but he realized that Shockwave was right. His refusal to fall asleep and his will to try to break himself free from the restraints was pointless. The young bot groaned and lost consciousness as Shockwave watches Sideswipe drift to recharge.

Sideswipe: Ughhnnn....*falls asleep*

Shockwave: Sleep well, young bot.

Grimlock, Slug, and Slash had found Silker and his gang as they interrogate them.

Grimlock: WHERE'S SIDESWIPE!!!!!

Silker: We don't have him!!!

Slug: We Dinobots know, so where is Sideswipe?

Slash: Did Shockwave really hired you?

Hot Link: Yes. yes he did!

Grimlock: And did he ordered you to take Sideswipe to his lab?

Red Wing: Yes!!!

Slug: Good

The Dinobot trio left until Grimlock turns to them.

Grimlock: You better leave now, somewhere far. So Shockwave won't find you.

Silker and his gang nodded as they entered their ship and left Cybertron. Grimlock, Slug, and Slash planned to rescue Sideswipe.

Sideswipe regains conscious as he finds himself suspended in the ceiling with chains made of electricity and he knew he is in the interrogation room, he heard the doors open and he turns his attention to Shockwave as he entered.

Shockwave: You have finally awoken, Sideswipe.

Sideswipe(snarked):  Yeah, I did and I had a good nap.

Shockwave picks a weapon (that looks like the one in season 3 episode 1 Darkmount, Nevada that Starscream used to interrogate Wheeljack).

Shockwave: You will tell me the location of the Dinobots.... *he placed the weapon on Sideswipe's chest and scratches it as sparks were flying*

Sideswipe: Aaaaaaahhhh!!!

Shockwave: *stops scratching and looks at Sideswipe* no matter how long it takes.

Sideswipe: Go ahead knock yourself out.

Grimlock, Slug, and Slash arrived at Shockwave's lair while remained hidden as it was guarded by Insecticons.

Slash: How are we gonna get pass those Insecticons?

Grimlock: Me Grimlock and Slug will create a diversion and we will lead them away from the lair as you'll sneak.

Slash: Got it.

Grimlock and Slug charged as they roared, the Insecticons saw them as they screeched, transformed into their insect modes and chased Grimlock and Slug, leaving the entrance of the lair unguarded as Slash sneaks in.

Meanwhile....

Shockwave was still interrogating Sideswipe. The young bot was covered in scratches from that weapon that Shockwave used. Sideswipe still didn't give the mad scientist Decepticon the location of the Dinobots. Then Shockwave received a comm call from the Insecticon guards.

Insecticon guard (comm unit): Shockwave, two Dinobots had been spotted from the perimeter of the lair, we are in pursuit.

Shockwave: Keep them busy, I'll be on my way there. Shockwave out.

Slash was in the lair as she remains hidden to avoid being spotted, she hears footsteps as she stays still. She sees Shockwave holding Sideswipe on his shoulder, tied up in energon chains.

Sideswipe: Where are you taking me?

Shockwave: The Insecticons' postition where they are pursuing the Dinobots.

Slash sneaks up behind them as she trips Shockwave and frees Sideswipe as they exit the lair and Shockwave chases them.

Slash: *contacts Grimlock* Grimlock, I have Sideswipe with me, but we are being chased by Shockwave.

Grimlock (comm unit): Keep him busy, we'll be on our way, Grimlock out.

Slash: Sideswipe, we need Shockwave busy. Grimlock and Slug will be on their way.

Sideswipe: On it!

Grimlock and Slug were fighting the Insecticons. Grimlock transformed into his T-Rex and released fire at the Insecticons and knocked them out with one swipe of his tail.

Grimlock: Slug, let's get going! Slash and Sideswipe need our help!

Slug: Me Slug on it! *transforms into his Triceratops mode*

Grimlock and Slug raced off to help Sideswipe and Slash.

Sideswipe and Slash kept dodging Shockwave's blasts as they were getting worn out. They kept fighting Shockwave as Grimlock and Slug arrived and defeated Shockwave.

Sideswipe: Grimlock! Thank Primus, you came.

Grimlock: You're welcome, Sideswipe. Now, let's go home.

Sideswipe transformed into his vehicle mode and Slash transformed into her Velociraptor mode as they head their way to the base in the sunset.
