Sideswipe (narrating):  Hello, my name is Sideswipe...I bet you heard of me? A former delinquent, current Autobot Warrior, Drift's apprentice, detective, son of Knock Out, half-brother of Wildbreak, Rotorcharge, and Trailfire, husband of Strongarm, and twin brother of Sunstreaker. But, many of you were wondering "How did became to be the bot we know?" Well, my friends, I'll you how I became the bot that you know. It started a long time ago....

Sidewipe was 8 human years as he is in the alley to avoid the dangers of the war as he was waiting for his mother, Nitroblaze to arrived. When she arrived, he witnessed in horror that his mom is covered in rust, cosmic rust as she fell to the ground.

Sideswipe: Mom! *Sideswipe rushes towards his mother and was going to touch her*

Nitroblaze: Don't touch me, I will end up infecting you too.

Sideswipe stops and backs away as he trembles and watching his mother slowly rusting to death. Tears came from his optics as he became scared and his mother speaks her last words.

Nitroblaze: Don't be scare my son, be brave...hope and faith will guide you and you'll find your destiny.

Nitroblaze's body turned to dust as Sideswipe got down on his knees and began crying then his twin brother, Sunstreaker came as he saw Sideswipe crying.

Sunstreaker: Sides, what happened? Where's Mom?

Sideswipe: She's dead! She died of cosmic rust! She died right in front of me! *resumes crying*

Sunstreaker: *gasps* You mean...we're all alone?

Sideswipe: Yes!!! Unless, our step-father, Roadbuster, finds us!

Sunstreaker was sitting on an empty energon cube, still mourning their mother as Sideswipe is sitting in a box with his face planted to his knees and sniffling. Then he glances at the starry sky as he remembers what is mother told him before she died.

Nitroblaze (in his helm): Be brave...hope and faith will guide you and you'll find your destiny.

Sideswipe: I will be brave, Mom. I will let hope and faith guide me. I will find my destiny...I promised.

A green and organge mech appeared,  he has blue optics, and in his Late 30s. It was Roadbuster, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker's step-father.

Roadbuster: Sideswipe! There you are! Where's Sunstreaker? 

Sideswipe: He's over there *pointing where Sunstreaker is*

Sunstreaker saw Roadbuster as he got off the empty cube and rushed towards Roadbuster.

Roadbuster: Where's Nitroblaze?

Sideswipe: She's dead...she died of cosmic rust.

Roadbuster became shocked of this as he hugs his step-sons.

Roadbuster: I'm sorry you had to been through that. But, I'm here now and I will look after you.

Roadbuster picks them up as he carried them in his arms. Sideswipe and Sunstreaker had their chins on his shoulders. Sunstreaker was looking down at the ground and Sideswipe was looking at the alley that his mother died, wondering if he'll ever come back to there.

5 humans years later....

Sideswipe is 13 human years old and is racing in the old roads as he is having fun.

Sideswipe: Yeah!!!! Woo-Hoo!!!! Awesome!!!

Sideswipe made quick turns, did hard lefts and rights, and did donuts. Sideswipe was racing towards the ramp and was going to do a stunt on it until Sunstreaker came and blocked the ramp.

Sideswipe: Woah!!! 

Sideswipe hits the brakes, but he is still going towards Sunstreaker. Then he made a quick turn as did a sideswipe (get it?) as he finally stopped. Sideswipe transforms into his robot mode and glared at Sunstreaker.

Sideswipe: What the slag, Bro? I almost could've run over!

Sunstreaker: Language, Sideswipe! And there's no way you make it over that ramp. You could've get hurt.

Sideswipe: I'm a teen now, I'm not a child anymore and that includes you too!

Sunstreaker: You need me, Sideswipe and I have to look after you ever since Mom died.

Sideswipe: I look after myself and when I'm old enough to live by myself. I don't need you or our step-dad!

Sunstreaker: You'll regret saying those words!

Sideswipe: Try me!

Roadbuster: Boys!

They turned around and saw Roadbuster, who is angry at them.

Roadbuster: You two come home with me now! And Sideswipe...you and I need to talk after we get home.

Sideswipe: Fine...

They all transform into their vehicle modes and drove home.
