Chapter One - Plagonas
He groaned. The air smelled of sea and his mouth was dry, lips burned by the ocean water, and the sun beating down on his peeling skin. He opened his eyes to an enormous amount of light. He flinched, but slowly pulled his body up to stand, wincing at every sore bone. He, crippled, turned around to look at the ocean. Where he had landed was a small peer. There was occupied land surrounding the water. A sigh.
Civilization.
He stumbled into the streets, slowly taking in the sights around him. People were moving about, children and elderly walking down the sidewalks. Shops and buildings made up the setting on the sides of the streets, soft music playing around the area.
He limped into what seemed like a motel. Pushing the door open, he then walked over to the front desk.
"Sir? Are you alright?" He looked up slowly to see a woman with a green gown on. She had her hair up into a messy bun. "I um... where am I?" "You're on the land of Plagonas. Center of the Seven seas." He nodded slowly.
Suddenly he became aware of how dry his throat was, and how badly cracked his lips were. "Do... Do you have water by any chance?" A voice crack. The woman nodded and soon she was back with a jug of water. He yanked it from her fingers and drank greedily.
Soon there was none left, and he took a shaky breath. "Thank you m'lady..." He huffed, handing it back. She gave him a small smile and set it down on the counter. "I crash landed here... there was a storm and I guess my body must have floated here. Thank the lord really." He gave a shaky breath and she smiled.
"Do you... have a room you could spare?" He asked. She nodded. "Do you have money?" He looked down and pushed his hands into his pockets. "Aw... shit," He pulled them out to see nothing in my hands. "I'm sorry, I don't. Guess I'll be goin." He sowly turned around when she grabbed his arm. "Um... I guess... I'll let you go this once, okay?" She spoke with a reasurring smile. "Oh thank you, really thank you." She nodded and handed him a key.
"Thank you." He took it and made his way up the stairs, soon meeting the room. He opened the door and fell onto the bed, closing his eyes and drifting to sleep.

Knock knock knock.
He took in a sharp breath at the sudden noise coming from the door. "Sir, may I come in?" He grumbled a yes and the woman with the green dress stepped in. "I know I can't offer you the room for the night, but I bought you some clothes, seeing you most likely need some more. I hope you feel a bit better. Uh here..." The woman pulled out 20 galleons and put them at his bedside. "I hate to usher you out so quickly, but you have to be out in 20 minutes... I'm sure that's enough time for you to wash." She said softly. He nodded. She headed for the door, but he spoke. "Thank you... for everything. I really needed all this." He smiled and she nodded his way and left the room. He sighed and got up, made his way into the bathroom and started to shower, throwing off the dirty clothes.
He sighed. For the first time in his life he felt clean. He had put on a white button up with a green vest and his pants were brown and tied at the end with ropes. Black boots overlapped them and so did the belt over the shirt on his waist, which hung slightly off to the side. He had put a bandanna on his head with one also on his neck. He looked... fresh.
He walked down the steps and gave one last thank you to the lady at the desk. He was about to leave when the lady called after him. "Um.. if you don't like staying in one place-if you wish to sail again... there's a pub around the corner. They... recruit there." she smiled and he nodded.
He stepped out of the building.
Might as well take a look at this pub.
He slowly made his way around the corner, still sore from earlier today. The sun was gone and the night was above. The stars shone bright in the night sky with a cool breeze melting into his skin. He looked ahead and started to hear music when suddenly a man came stumbling out of the a building screaming something.
Well I know where it is now.
He looked over to the man who scrambled to his feet, dusting things off of his shirt. "Filthy pirates," he grumbled, and then turned to look at him. The man then glared and turned away, beginning to walk down the street. He looked to the side and the music he had heard earlier had been obviously coming from behind the door. He took a deep breath and slowly entered.
There were people laughing and screaming, women dancing on a stage, and a bar full of other drunk men who were also laughing. He made his way towards the bar and sat down.
"Uh.. ma'am? I heard they recruit others or something like that here... are they still doing that?" He asked, looking at the woman behind the counter. She nodded while handing another man a drink and then came over to him, leaning against the counter. "Yeah, they have some men come in every now and then, looking for others... but you young lad," she smirked. "You don't look like a pirate." she sneered and the men beside him chuckled. Heat rose to his cheeks.
"Your thirst for the seas isn't good." she said sitting back up. "Getchya in real trouble that's for sure," A couple 'Aye' s from the others around him. "Sometimes they kill pirates... just for fun." she smirked.
He looked away and down at his hands. "So you be looking for a-" Suddenly the man beside him stopped talking. In fact everyone had stopped talking. The music stopped and everyone began to glare. He raised an eyebrow and turned around to see a young man, standing at the entrance.
Tension settled in the air.
He had pale skin, his eyes as green as the sea. He wore a white button up with a denim blue vest and had dark blue pants on with high black boots. Instead of his belt being on his waist, it was slung around his shoulder and it went around his body back to the top, buckled up. He had a hat on with a red peice of cloth dangling from the inside, with a feather topping it. His black hair fell from below his hat and seemed to curl in a way that said excitement, matching the ferocity in his eyes.
He had a playful smirk on his lips, his eyes wandering around the room. "Get outta hear Holmes!" A man called from the side of the room. "Or what Anderson!" He said raising his hands. His voice was deep and silky, full of adventure, and thrill. He continued forward, everyones eyes still on him. He walked towards the bar, his eyes falling on the other companion. He felt a lump of fear develop in his throat as the pale figure moved towards him, and then stopped to loom over, a smirk still playing on his lips.
"You're... kind of in my seat." "You don't have a seat in here, freak!" The voice had came from behind him. It was the voice of the woman who had been speaking to him." Oh Sally, dear, get me a drink, would you?" He spoke, mouth like a snake as his eyes shifted to the top of my head just for a moment and then zoomed back to me.
"I said you're-" He stopped himself, his eyes widening. Our companion raised an eyebrow at him, as he backed away, looking at the ground. "Uh... I'm sorry, I think I'll be going now." He cleared his throat and turned around, headed to the door before turning back. "Ta-Ta now everyone!" He said smirking again, before his eyes fell on him once more. They held gaze, and then he turned back around and left the pub.
The room was dead silent, when suddenly the world's eyes fell upon him. "What?" He asked, looking around. "You scared him away!" The man who's name was apparently 'Anderson' spoke. He nodded, still slightly confused before everyone stood and cheered.
"Drinks on the house everyone!" The woman behind him said and everyone cheered once more.
What is going on? What was so bad about that man?
"Look guys, I think I'm going," He got up from the seat as everyone continued to laugh. He moved and reached the door before the woman by the name of Sally called over to him.
"What's your name?"
He turned around. The room was silent, all eyes fell upon him. For a moment, he felt important.
"uh, John. John Watson."
