Day 53
I was walking around the village, it has been a week since I've seen Garrick, but then again, he could just be needing some alone time. And oddly enough it's been about the same amount of time since I've seen Donovan around as well. The boat supplies keep disappearing every so often, which is, once again, strange..... "Cyrissa!! Wait up!!" Jade yelled from behind me. I slowed my pace, turning to her. "Jade? What's the matter?" I asked, confused. Jade slowed to a stop at my side, breathing heavily, she must've ran from the other side of the village..... I thought, just as Jade got her breathing under control, and fixed her posture. "Cyrissa, have you seen Garrick? I need to talk to him about Dino's training..." She said, still slightly out of breath. "No... actually, I haven't, I haven't seen him since Zundu, but that was a week ago." I said, panic and worry speed throughout my body. "Come to think of it, I haven't seen his brother lately either...." I added, Jade glared at the ground in anger. "I swear if we can't find Garrick nor Donovan.... I'm going to through a hissy fit, and throw Garrick's table at Levin!" She yelled. "You still haven't returned Garrick's table?" I asked, looking at her. "No I haven't," She smiled. "But that's off topic! We have to find them, before something else goes wrong and we have to go on an adventure half way across the continent!" Jade said, throwing her arms up into the air in frustration. "Calm down! Sheesh, all we have to do is ask around to see if anyone's seen him." I said, Jade simply sighed and nodded. "Alright..." She said, I began to walk again, and she followed.
We finished the rounds and were on our way to check out the shrine to Sapphire. "Odd that no one has seen Garrick for the whole week either." Jade said. I nodded in agreement. "Yeah, it is.... well... maybe he's ju-... Wait..." I said as I seen a flash of black run just a little ways a head of us. "What?" Jade asked, looking ahead of us as well. "Did you see it?" I asked. "See what?" "No time to explain, we should follow it to see what it was." I said beginning to run towards it, as quietly as possible. "Cyrissa!" I heard Jade yell, but I didn't stop, and then I soon heard her groan and begin to follow.
I had finally caught up to it, but the person had heard me, so they ran. Jade cut them off and I pounce on top of the person knocking them down. "Who are you!?" I asked, pinning their shoulders to the ground. They groaned, and grunted until they finally stopped struggling, muttering their name. "Don........" I heard them begin but the last part wasn't audible. "What was that? I didn't catch your name." I said, my ears peeking slightly, and my tail waving around impatiently. "I'm Donovan! It's me, Donovan, Cyrissa!" He yelled. I looked at him confused, pulling back the hood of the cloak to reveal his face. "Donovan!? What are you doing out here!?" I yelled, sitting down in the centre of his back, crossing my arms. Jade walked closer and held her sword, Jade Slice, at the ready. "Yeah, what are you doing out here, running from us no less?" Jade added. "If you could please get off of my back, so I could breath, I'd be able to tell you." He gasped out, I turned to Jade with a questioning look. "I don't trust him.... what if he had something to do with Garrick's disappearance?" Jade whispered over to me. "Well, we could always bind his hands, just until we figure things out..." I whispered back. Jade nodded. "Fine." I said, getting up off of his back, pulling him to his feet. "Thank you." He said, Jade grabbed his hands and tied them. "Okay, follow us, we need to ask you a few things." Jade said, nudging him with the blunt side of her sword. He complied, and we continued walking.
We soon arrived at the falls housing the shrine to Sapphire. "Okay stop." Jade said strictly. Donovan stopped, as I walked in front of him. "Okay mister, you have a heck of a lot of explaining to do." I said, looking him dead in the eyes, although I had to look up to him, I made my point clear with my death glare. "Why were you running? And where's Garrick?? Did you do something to him?" I asked. He looked at me confused. "Garrick? You mean your guard?" He asked, tilting his head off to one side. "Oh, don't give me that bull, you've already seen him without that helm of his, and you know very well that he's your brother!" I said, crossing my arms. Jade's eyes widened, but she held her sword without falter, not letting her shock take away her guard. "Okay, yes, I know he's my brother, but why are you asking me if I did something to him?" He asked, confusing covering his features. "You, of all people should know what happened to him, you've been gone the same amount of time he has, so where is he? And why we're you running??" Jade asked. "Okay, for one, I have no idea what your talking about of me knowing where my brother is, I haven't even seen him since Crivier last week! And I was running from the person who kidnapped me on Zundu. Someone who is chasing me." He said, fear in his eyes, as well as worry, as he looked at his feet. Jade glared at him and anger was pulsing in her eyes. "Your lyi-!" Jade began, but I cut her off. "No, Jade, he's not. He's telling the truth...." I said, she looked at me, and she gasped, causing Donovan to look up as well. He looked at me, shock in his eyes. "What?" I asked, uncrossing my arms, and putting them at my sides. "Cy.... y-your eyes were........... glowing!" Jade said, lowering her sword. "What? How is that possible..?" I asked, confused. "I've seen that kind of magik before....... but only in books." Donovan said. I looked at him. "Th-then what is it?" I asked. "The magik you just used, is one that allows the user to see if someone is telling the truth." Donovan said. "So that's how I knew...?" I asked, he nodded. "Yes, it is." Jade sheathed her sword. "Wow.... so... you don't know what happened to Garrick....." Jade said, surprised. "But aren't you evil?" Jade added, questionably. "No... I'm not... everything evil that I have ever done, was because my father, Garron, forced me to, otherwise, he would have killed Clyve.... my little brother....." he said, I looked at him sadly. "I'm... sorry... but... hey... I'm here for you if you need anything." I said, walking over to him, and untying his hands. "Yeah, even though I don't trust you fully still, if Cy's okay with you, than I am too..." Jade said, smiling slightly. After I untied his hands, he pulled me, and surprisingly, Jade, into a hug. "Thank you." He muttered. We hugged back, I closed my eyes, smiling. "Your welco-." Before I could finish, there was a high pitches laughing. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHGAHAHAGAHAGAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Oh isn't this PPPPRRRREEEEECCCCIIIOOOUUSS! The young priest has found forgiveness for all of those sins! HAHAHAHAHAHA! There's no way for anything to go wrong now, is there Dony?" She yelled. We all broke the hug and looked at the top of the falls, only to see a girl in orange hair, and pink coloured armour. "Who's that?!" I asked, pointing to her. "The one I was running from..." Donovan muttered. "Vicky....." He breathed. "HAHAHAHAHA! Shocked Sir Donovan? Well I'm not here for you, your free for now, but just so you know, Garron expects you back within a month! Oh and, what was it..... Ah yes, Lord Cyrissa, if you ever want your so called.... Guard. Your going to have to come and get him, I've already taken him back to Ro'hargrove. And you won't find him very easily!" She said, Jade already had her sword out. "GIVE ME ONE REASON NOT TO TARE YOUR LIMBS OFF!" Jade yelled. "Oh, is the little End Knight upset? Don't think I don't know who you are Jade Emerald. Garron' the one who used the souls of 1/4th of his army, to get the End Knights to destroy your village." She said. "GET DOWN HERE AND FIGHT ME! YOU WEAKLING! YOUR JUST HIDING BEHIND YOUR WORDS!!!" Jade yelled again, changing into her End Knight form. "Oh so the Little Knight wants to play? Very well!" Vicky jumped off of her perch at the top of the falls, plummeting towards Jade, but before she struck a single blow to Jade, she was flung away. Darien, and Clyve, both coming in, swords drawn. "JADE! What were you thinking! You can't fight her!" Darien yelled angrily. "And why not!?" She yelled back, with just as much anger. "She's Vicky the Barbarian, She's the second toughest one of the Elite Six!" Clyve yelled, Donovan, held his ground as well, even though he didn't have a sword. "Grrrr, Darien, YOU TRAITOROUS BASTARD! I should have killed you when I had a chance! And you, Clyve, I thought Garron did away with you for good back in the End!" She yelled, she looked towards Donovan, and smiled, she knew he wasn't guarding himself very well, so she ran at him. He wasn't paying attention, he was looking at Clyve, frozen. I reacted as quickly as I could. "DONOVAN!" I yelled, Dashing out in front of him, seeing a bright flash of blue light, as I felt a sword appear in my hand, and something coming out of my back. I opened my eyes, as I felt the impact of Vicky hit my sword. "Huh? WHAT IS THIS!?" She yelled. I smiled at her, throwing her away with a slight movement of my sword. "I'm Cyrissa, lord of Diamond Falls, and no one, I mean, NO ONE! Hurts my friends without a consequence." I said, she growled. "FINE! BUT YOU WONT EVER FIND YOUR FRIEND GARRICK! HE'S TO WELL GUARDED TO FIND!" She cackled, as she got up and ran away. Clyve and Darien were about to go chase after her, but I stopped them. "Leave her, she's not worth our time." I said, as I noticed I was hovering above the ground. Soon the light came back, and I felt my feet touch the ground again, and whatever was protruding from my back disappeared. "What was that!?" Jade yelled. "I.... I have no idea..." I said, turning to them all, holding the sword up looking at it, before it disappeared as well. "Whatever it was, it had to do with Magik....." I said, looking at them again, before the world faded back into bleak blackness, and I felt the ground hitting my face. "CYRISSA!" I heard them all yell. "WHY DOSE THIS KEEP HAPPENING TO HER!?" Jade yelled, or at least I think it was her. "She used to much Magik again..... I have to do some searching to be sure of what kind..." someone said, I couldn't tell at this point. And just before everything went quiet, I heard someone whisper to me; "It's okay Cyrissa, I'm here for you too.... weather you know it or not..." and then nothing.
Eventually I awoke, seeing I was in my room, it was dark, I didn't know what happened, but I got up, and pulled a candle onto my desk, and began writing down some thing that I needed. It was late, but I knew, some how, Jason would be awake. Couldn't have anything to do with the fact that I heard him crashing around down stairs. I knocked on the wall as I walked into the he room, and Jason came out of a mass of manikins. "Oh, Cyrissa! What are you doing up???" He asked. "I was just wondering if you could make me, Jade and a few others some new travel clothes?" I asked. "Of course! Who's going to need them?" He asked. I handed him the paper with the names of who would need the travel clothes. "That's all of them. Thank you Jason." I said, smiling. "No problem Cyrissa! You can count on me to have these done by.... say... Yrves, two day from now?" He asked. "Perfect! I'll be back down tomorrow with payment for the clothes." I said, he nodded. "Alright, night M'lady." "Night." I said, walking back upstairs to my room.
