By now me and Jade have pretty much helped this village get back up on its feet. And today we have the best day of all! It's girls day Friday! And today me and Jade are fishing down at the beach. I have caught about 4 fish since we started about an hour ago, but Jade has me beat, cause she's caught about 10. "Come on Jade! That's not fair! You got better bait than me!" "Well, you should have bought the bait at the same spot I did instead of buying it from that old geezer at the market huh?" She gave me a sly smirk. "Okay okay okay, you got me there... But hey at least we got the day off right?" "Yep! Nothing like a nice sunny day to go fishing!" She then reeled in another fish. "That's 11 for me!" I sighed and looked back at my 4 fish and went back to watching my rod. Then all of a sudden I felt my rod grab onto something. "Ooh! I got one!! I got one!!" I shouted Jade simply watched as I reeled in an old stinky boot. "Hahahahahahahaha! It's just a boot!" "HEY! THATS NOT FUNNY JADE!!!" I then started to pretend fight her when Garrick walked up to and cleared his throat. We paused Jade still lightly pulling on my cheek and me still having a light grip on her ear. We quickly stopped and looked at Garrick. "Hey Garrick, what's up?" I asked, Jade just glared at Garrick. "Hello ladies, I'm terribly sorry to interrupt, whatever you were doing, but Cyrissa, may I talk to you in private?" He asked, I looked back at Jade, who was still glaring at Garrick, then back to him. "I'm not sure, you'll have to talk to Jade about that, it is Girls day Friday after all, she normally plans them anyways." Garrick then turns his gaze to Jade who lightly smiled at him. "May I borrow Cyrissa and talk to her alone Jade, I'll be sure to return her after wards." Jade nodded. "Sure, but if you do anything stupid to her I-." She said but Garrick quickly ushered me away. He then stopped by a group of trees. "So what was so urgent that we needed to talk in private?" I asked, Garrick shifted his helmet. "Well, as you found out a couple of weeks ago, our lord died in the fire of his old home....." "Yeah, and?" "We've been lordless since then, and you've helped out the village a lot, even without knowing any of us." "Okay, what's your point Garrick?" "Everyone's been talking about how helpful you've been, and they told me to tell you, they want you to be the new lord." I took a step back. "M-me!? Why!?" "Because, you have helped us more than you know, and everyone trusts you. Will you be the new lord of our village?" "I-I guess..... I mean... I don't even know what it means to be a lord.... But sure.... I can try.." Garrick nodded than took me back over to Jade and left. "What was that all about? What was so important that he needed to interrupt our Girls day?" "Well, everyone was talking about it, and asked Garrick to ask me to be the new lord....." "Wait.... WHAT!? Your the new lord!?" I nodded and then slowly sat back down, picking up my fishing rod and throwing the line back into the water. "That's great Cyrissa!! Oh! Oh! Oh! We, we gotta get you a house!" "Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Jade calm down! I'm in no rush to get a house!" Before Jade could respond to my protest Xavire ran up to us. "Lord Cyrissa!" He gasps, and now I was already sick of the name. "Y-yes Xavire?" I asked sure of what to do. "We have a stranger in town, he requests to see the lord." I sighed. "Come on Jade, we'll have to put off our Girls day for now....." Jade sighed as well and we walked over to the market area. There stood Garrick by another Guard, he was about the same height as Garrick, he was wearing a similar suit of armour as Garrick, only he didn't have a helm, a grey cape, and a plane chest plate. He had bushy brows hair and grey eyes. "Ah, hello ladies." He said taking a slight bow. Me and Jade came up to him and he quickly grabbed my hand and gave it a kiss. "What the!" I said quickly pulling my hand away. "Oh I'm sorry to startle you ma'am. But do you not like a man who can show his feelings for a beautiful woman in public?" He asked in a flirtatious tone. "Uh, for one, I don't even know who you are, and for two, we just met, there's certainly no way I could love a man at first sight!" I said shocked. "My apologies miss...?" "Cyrissa, my name's Cyrissa, I'm the lord." I said folding my arms. "Greetings, I am Levin, head Guard of Silverstream. My lord has sent me here to request some help." "Oh, and what kind of help would that be?" I asked curiously. "We have bandits, they have been a nuisance on our village for quite a while, and we have had our guards stretched thin looking for a missing mother and her child." "We'll gladly help, but we have few men here, myself and Jade will come and help, Garrick will you be alright taking care of the village in my absence?" He nodded. "Of course m'lady." "Alright, we'll be heading out in a few hours, we need to gather a few supplies and we'll journey back with you, sir Levin."
