Day 1:
The wind gently blew across my face, as I woke up in the middle of the woods.
I sat up and looked around, "where am I?" I questioned aloud, but no response came back. I got up and began to wonder around, seeing if I could Gina anything, or for that fact, anyone.
Eventually that search turned up negative, so I sat down and gently rested my head against a tree. I sighed, looking at my surroundings, and as I did I seen the small glint of something in some long grass. I scooted over to the grass, and picked up what seemed to be an old wood cutters axe. I shrugged, and decided to keep it, quietly going back to rest under the tree.
"STOP RIGHT THERE!" Rang out a voice.
"Huh?" In shock, I got up and followed where the voice came from. "I SAID STOP!" From that I could tell whomever was yelling was a man.
I climbed over a small hill, seeing a guardsmen with a helm running after, and a cloaked man running away. I looking at the scene, before, again following, as the both continued to run away.
Eventually I had lost sight of the two men as they went over another small hill. I walked up it, and once over the hill, I seen the guard standing and staring over a small village. Which looked quite beautiful.
"Dang it. Lost him again..." the guard mumbled out.
I cleared my throat quietly, "u-um, e-excuse me s-sir?" I asked.
The guard turned around and looked at me. "Hmm? Oh, yes? How may I help you ma'am?" He politely asked.
"Um, hi.... I'm dreadfully lost, could you help me?" I asked, the guard rested his hand on his sword, "Sure thing," he paused, "umm, what's your name miss?" He asked.
That was a good question, I actually have no idea... I thought. Mind you I didn't stop thinking, until something sounding familiar popped into my mind. Cyrissa...Nimbie....
"My names, Cyrissa Nimbie, I.... think." I paused, "you mean to say you don't remember who you are?" The guard questioned yet again.
"Uh, n-no I don't.... I remember a name.... but, nothing else." I stated sadly.
The guard looked down in thought, raising his hand to the bottom of his helm.
"I know this may sound stupid, but.... Do you have a place to stay?" He looked back at me.
"No. I-I don't."
"Follow me then." He stated. "W-what? Why?" I asked, shocked. "You'll need a place to stay other than these woods. Their not a suitable place for a young woman such as yourself." He said, before turning, and walking towards the village. I quickly followed behind him.
As we walked I looked around at the houses of the village, all simply built, but still relatively nice.
"U-um... I-I never c-caught your n-name." I said, gaining the Guards attention.
He slightly looked over his shoulder at me, as we walked before turning to look back at where he was going. "My names Garrick, Lady Cyrissa." He said. "Garrick? That's a nice name." I said, smiling as I walked up beside him.
We continued walking in a peaceful quiet, as we rounded the corner of a building.
To my surprise I ran straight into someone. "Hey! Watch where your going!" A mans voice snapped at me, I looked to see whom I ran into and seen a blond haired and red eyed man, looking at me angrily. "I-I'm sorry sir! I d-didn't mean to-" I began to apologize, but the guy sluffed me off. "Yeah whatever, keep to yourself stranger." He stated walking away.
"Don't mind him Lady Cyrissa, he's just been grumpy as of late." Garrick said, before we both turned and continued walking.
We eventually reached our destination. A farm house. The guard Garrick went up to the door and knocked on it. He took a step back from the door, as a man with orange hair, and grey eyes opened the door. "Hey Garrick! what brings ya here?" The man questioned, before his eyes met mine, and a smile spread over his face. "Bernard, this young lady, Cyrissa, was lost, and needs a place to stay," Garrick began. "Say no more my friend! A lost person in need is always welcome here." Bernard said, smiling at Garrick, then me.
After getting settled in, Bernard said he had to go and garden, to which I offered my help. So we were walking towards the gardens.
As we walked however, I noticed some rundown houses. I turned to Bernard, and tapped him on the shoulder. "Um, Bernard?" I asked, he stopped and looking at me, humming in response. "Hmm?"
"What's with the rundown houses?" I asked. "Oh, umm... we had some bandits rob the houses a while back, before anyone moved in as a matter of fact, and after that we didn't have enough time nor funds to fix the places up." He said, glancing at me. I nodded, "okay then."
We then continued our freckles to the gardens, silence falling over the two of us.
When we got back to the house I walked up to my new room, and opened the door. "Good night Bernard!" I called. "G'night miss Cyrissa!" He called back from the downstairs. I smiled to myself, and walking into the room, plopping on my bed and peacefully drifting off into my dreams.
