Valentine's Day, Last year...

Valentines day, last year...

Bunny:

Of course Bear had to work late tonight. I frown as I look at myself in the mirror. I was all dolled up, ready to go to Angela and Jacob's party. I could have grabbed an uber and left already but I really wanted to with Bear.

I continued checking my phone, watching the time slowly pass. It was hard having bear work and live across town. My apartment is on the other side of town and Angela and Jacob's place is sort of in the middle. I was just so far out of the way, but Bear really wanted us to ride together, as did I.

8:30 pm

I sigh, realizing that even if he got here right now, we would have missed most of the party.

Another 10 minutes passes when I hear a knock. I resolved that we're not going and started taking out food to make us for dinner. So I cross the small living room and open the door.

"Hey Bunny!" Bear says with a big smile on his face. I roll my eyes and stomp back towards the kitchen.

"Bunny, come on..." I hear him walking after me, "I'm so sorry June..." He stops in the kitchen, smelling my cooking, "Wait, I thought you wanted to go to the party." He says sounding defeated.

I glare at him, "Well CJ, I did want to go to the part like 2 hours ago. You insisted I wait for you, so I did, but it's too late now." Bear leaned against the counter watching me cook. He had a smirk on his face.

"You know, I have something for you. Something that I really wanted to give you before the party."

I perk up a bit, I do love gifts. I have something I wanted to tell him too, although now I'm not in the best mood to say it. I force a small smile and try to will away my frustration.

I turn to face him, crossing my arms over my chest, "CJ, it really sucks that we live so far from each other, so, my lease is up in 3 months. I'm going to look for a place closer to you." I look up at him and he chuckles. Pulling me into a big hug. I relax for a bit, but then push him away.

"Wait, what's so funny!" I look up glaring at him. He frowns at me.

"Bunny, you're not going to do that." I look at him surprised.

"Excuse me?" I whimper, I feel the tears sting in my eyes, I'm tired and frustrated and now he's turning me down? "How dare you CJ! I'm in no mood for your jokes, and you better be joking! I'm not happy CJ, I was really excited for tonight, we've been so busy lately.." He cuts me off as he lifts me in his arms, wrapping my legs around him.

"Shush, bunny. I'm sorry, I know. It's just that..." I feel him dig around in his pocket pulling out a tiny box, holding it up to me.

I slowly slide down his front, looking at the box. "What is it?" I ask him curiously.

He chuckles, thrusting his hands in his pockets, "Well open it to find out." He has his nervous smile on. Obviously this is important.

I carefully take off the bow and open the box. There's a key in it. I furrow my bows, lifting the key out of the box and staring at it for a moment.

I look up at him confused, "I don't get it?" He smiled big.

"It's a key to my place, I think our lives would be much better if we lived under the same roof..." He pulled me into his arms, "Don't you think bunny?"

I started jumping up and down excitedly. "Bear?! Are you serious?!" He nodded his head yes as I jumped into his arms, kissing him all over as he laughed.

"Ok ok Bunny, Let's finish dinner so I can get to the main course of this evening." He said as he smacked my ass hard making me yelp.
