One may ask why we are here ? Reason being, Today our hero's meet each other for the first time and it will be a memory which they will treasure forever.

On a bright, warm summer day in Pallet Town, the lush green fields stretch under a sky so blue it feels endless. This peaceful and usually quaint town today is buzzing with excitement as it hosts a summer camp by the regional professor oak for young aspiring Pokémon Trainers . Kids from all around the region gather under the shade of tall, leafy trees, eager to start their adventure.

In the camp, tents are set up along the lake , where the gentle stream glistens under the sun,filled with water types for summer camp pokemon including magikarp , poliwag , krabby , A small crowd of campers gathers to watch, their laughter blending with the sound of the river. Friendly Pokémon like Pidgey, Rattata, and Caterpie are seen in the nearby grass, and playing with the kids

From the pallet town itself we have 5 people in the camp. First we have twins Ash Ketchum and Drake Ketchum.

First is Drake, elder brother of Ash Ketchum, he has messy Raven-Black hair, hazel brown with a darker shade than ash, a red and white jacket with short sleeves (just like his father's) with black jeans and a white trainer with a hint of red ,Unlike Ash , Drake is all about Books, instead of spending time with Pokémon , he spends his time studying, learning about different battle tactics, which gym will he face first ,which Pokémon will he catch , some may even say he has his whole journey figured out , he studies about what move a Pokémon can learn, type match-ups ,all this so he can be in the best possible positions when starting a journey

Due to all this differences between him and ash, he always looks down on his younger brother and considers bonding , playing games with wild Pokémon to be useless and waste of time

Next up is Ash Ketchum , Messy raven hair , Hazel brown eyes ,red and yellow sleeveless shirt , dark blue denim shorts just above his knees and dark green shoes and white socks , z marks on cheeks , he's very energetic and brings a while uniqueness energetic atmosphere to everything he does , He has a unique skill he befriends Pokémon very easily like they have known each other for ages and what's more unique is he can understand what they are saying and talk to them ? some may ask how? well no one knows but He's a great help for Professor Oak , but understanding Pokémon is one of the trait which runs down in his family , although most people don't know what caused it

The next child is Leaf Green , One of oldest friend of Ash you can call them best friend? but more like a sister ash never had. Chestnut brown hair just like her eyes ,near the same age as ketchum boys, personality wise cheerful , bubbly , filled to the brim with endless energy maybe that's why she and ash gets along well ,You can always find her and ash playing with wild pokemon's in a game of tag or hide and seek around pallet town

The fourth child is none other than Gary Oak, The professor grandson, Son of Kanto Champion Blue, A very arrogant child due to his grandfather and father reputation, Some may thing his and ash fights are normally due to ash trying to bully ash or just fighting but one knows that Gary is just jealous of ash , with his father being busy with champion duties visiting rarely and his grandfather attention being on ash due to him being able to understand pokemon langauge (delia can afford the camp due to professor giving them free entries for ash helping him in lab ) Although Ash neverminded translating for professors as he enjoys it but that backfired as it made him gary prime target with his arrogant attitude

The final child in Pallet town summer camp was a new arrival to pallet town , she only moved to the town a week before the summer camp , they are originally from the Kalos , despite her pleas to her mother on against her sending to summer camp , her mother insisted since she thinks it will good for serena to make new friends , her name is Serena Yvonne , long honey blonde hair all the way to her shoulder with a summer hat with a pink ribbon on it , sapphire blue eyes , a light pink summer flower dress and pink shoes in same shade. She is quite the shy kid and the fact she moved to a whole another region just a week ago where she knows no-one but her mother doesn't help. And the only reason they were told that they went to another region is because of her father passing away no wonder she's nervous

At the Oak Pokémon Lab , in the back Ranch , a group of adults and children were present in front of them was professor oak in top of a wooden platform in a lab coat with Gary elder sister Daisy being his assistant just below the wooden podium

"Greetings, welcome to the Pokémon summer camp and thank you for coming in number to make this event fun" Oak spoke drawing the attention of the kids and adults there "this is our 45th year running the summer camp , and we hope to make this as successful as previous many years"

"As many of you know The Kanto champion blue , as well as many elite four and gym leaders from many regions have taken part in this summer camp in the past" oak continued "while' you're here you will have various opportunities to interact with Pokémon's and learn about them and prepare for the time when u all become Pokémon trainers with different dreams of yourself " "many of you kids didn't had much interaction with Pokémon's before so this should be a real treat for you all "

"and most of all have fun " Oak continued "Parents feel free to stick around and make any queries u may have " oak finished before stepping down from the wooden podium

"Today activity is going to be 'The slip and seek challenge ' , each of you kids will get a slip which will contain a pic of Pokémon , your goal will be to find the Pokémon and bring it back to the camp " Professor Oak " the first one to come back with the Pokémon will the winner " Oak finished.

"oh yeah , this is going to be a walk in the park" exclaimed Gary arrogantly to ash while putting his hand in his hair and flicking it in air

ash snarled to him and said " we will see who wins Gary"

This caused Gary to turn his attention to ash and both started bickering and a heated argument was about to begin when they both gave a cry of agony

"UGHHH" both yelled in unison

turns out it was leaf who was grabbing their ears on each of her hand as she was used to it "alright alright that's enough, we have a completion " leaf exclaimed with exasperation

"alright you two break it up or you will have to sit this one out " said one of the trainers while turning his attention to the commotion the both boys were causing

"ash you're one of the nicest boys here don't let Gary get it to you , you're one of sweetest boy i have known" leaf whispered to ash " you know he's just trying to get a raise out of you"

Ash then sighed " Thanks leaf , i don't know why but i want to beat Gary to prove he's not that great "

The children all gathered in the own group around daisy ( except for one kid) and one by one all kids finished getting their slip containing the pic of Pokémon they have to find

"ash which one did u get" Leaf said " i got a growlith i think since it's a fire type it won't be in forest but in open area so i will go to other side of the ranch" leaf finished

"I got a poliwag" Ash replied and "i think it will be near lake so i will take this jungle path and go near lake " Ash finished

"Lets meet up here after we find our pokemons" leaf said

"ok good luck leaf bye " ash replied

--------while this was happening we will go to with serena-----

Daisy has just finished distributing the slip and was about to go back to the lab for having water when she saw serena standing herself near a tree , while shaking a little being nervous

daisy started making her way towards serena and said "hello there , what's your name "

Little serena got startled but nervously replied "M--my Na-a na-me Iss sere-na "

Daily said " oh u must be the kid who moved here recently with her mother right? daisy noticed serena was very nervous and a little scared so she bent down on her knees to be on serena level and smiled softly at serena to make her comfortable

"Ye-ss we mo-- moved he-he last we week "serena replied after a little

"so do you have a slip because i don't see one " daisy said "

"sorry i didn't take one" serena replied feeling a little comfortable seeing daisy wasn't getting angry instead she had a smile on her face all along

"no issue here take this one " daily said while giving serena a slip " this is a caterpie and it will be in the forest, it will be easy to find and don't worry we have trainers here watching all kids so everything is fine and all the pokemons are friendly "

"ok i will try" serena timidly replied and slowly started walking away into forest

daisy then got up with a smile and went inside lab for some water and for more events preparation

After a few adults left concluding their quick talk with Professor Oak, a women with dark brown(ish) hair shoulder length , and a yellow hair clip , a short sleeve dark blue t-shirt , a pale green jumpsuit , only covering her bottoms and tied around her waist.

"Hello.. professor" The women approached him , oak turned towards her "my name is Grace , Grace Yvonne". as she offered her hand and professor shook it.

"Ah yes. Ms Yvonne "Oak replied with a friendly smile. "if I'm not mistaken you along with your daughter moved to pallet" Grace smiled and nodded her head as she ended the handshake.

"yes" she replied " me and my daughter serena moved here last week"

"I thought the camp will be a good way for my daughter to make new friends as she's quite shy" grace commented

"Yes, she should certainly have no trouble fitting in here." Oak reassured. "We have four other children from Pallet Town. My grandson, Gary. Leaf Green, a friendly girl who will make friends with her. And two twins, Ash and Drake Ketchum. Drake is currently inside the lab and Ash is.. Where is Ash Oak replied as he named each child he pointed them out although when he got to Ash, he could spot the raven haired boy. Grace looked around and couldn't spot Serena either.

"Um Professor." Grace spoke, causing Oak to look at her. cant see Serena either"

"Don't panic Ms Yvonne." Oak reassured. "Ash is one of the nicest kids l've ever met. I'm sure if there together then Serena will be just fine.". Grace smiled, although not confirmed there is a good chance Serena is with this Ash boy, and if what the Professor said about him is true, then she should be fine. Right?

Serena was walking through the forest for last 20 minutes trying to search for a caterpie , she kept turning on her back looking for the way she came from the camp , the smaller camp got the more scared she got , now instead of looking at where she's walking she just kept walking forward and the forest also got denser and darker , and the more dark it got just added to the scared little serena and so far it didn't also help that she didn't see any trainer in this part

"where is everyone" serena said while looking around

Just in time some bushes near serena started rustling since serena was already scared she slowly turned back and started go away where she tripped over and fell down

the rustling stopped and poliwag came out of the bush and looked at serena and tilted it's head in confusion , then just went away jumping around

"i didn't even want to come to this camp" serena whispered while tearing up slowly bringing her hands to her eyes as tears were starting to leak through her eyes "I am so scared MUMMUMMY " serena screamed

just then the bush started rustling again and more violently and serena closed her eyes , out of the bush a raven haired boy came out while calling out poliwag

"hey what are you doing up here " the raven hair Boy look at serena and said "my name is ash what's wrong" the raven haired boy introduced himself "are you hurt?" ash finished

"i hurt my knee" serena replied

"oh no" ash said while putting his hands in his pocket while taking out a handkerchief "i know this will help" ash finished while tying the handkerchief around her bruised knee

"there" ash said "now all the pain will go away" ash said while moving his hands in a waving manner and threw them in air like a little mantra

"it still hurts soo much" serena said with a almost face like she was ready to cry

"Never give up until the very end " ash said while extending his hand towards little serena " come on"

tentatively serena took his hand and has a normal look on her face

ash then pulled on her hand but ended up pulling a little harder ash , serena came down in a hug position ,serena than got on her feet

"there you see " ash said while giving her a toothy smile and then grabber her hand and finished "why don't we go back to the came site, here let's go "

serena just looked at ash a little shocked , stunned but nonetheless a very pleasing moment for her she was speechless

serena started walking with ash , hand in hand towards the camp with him leading the way

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------As they were walking the camp came in the view after they passed a clearing ,ash said "look there's the camp , let's go to the nurse she will fix you up in time " as they made their way to nurse while having a small talk walking hand in hand

"hello ash" Nurse Joy spoke while looking at ash "what brings you here ash"

"hii Nurse Joy ,this is serena and she hurt her knee in the forest , can u treat her please" ash told nurse joy while pointing toward serena

"yes i can go that ,why don't you go out and wait ,she will be fine in no time don't worry" nurse said as she took serena hand

"serena don't worry" ash reassured while giving his signature toothy grin "Nurse joy will fix u in no time, and then we play together i promise you " serena smiled looking at him her face beginning to heat up a little thinking about the sweet raven hair boy who went out of his way to help serena when she couldn't do anything except for feeling weak and crying , serena didn't knew why but at the moment the promise to meet ash again and playing with him made her rethink the thoughts (maybe coming to summer camp wasn't a bad decision after all)

"Ah young love" Nurse joy thought while looking at serena and taking her inside with her to treat her bruise while ash started moving out of the nurse office to look for poliwag again

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Just as the door to the office was closed , ash started walking into the forest looking for poliwag when suddenly he hard someone call his name and turned around to face them

"ash my boy do you mind explaining what are you doing here leaving poliwag all alone in middle of the forest " Professor oak exclaimed in a stern tone with him was a poliwag in his arms

"well you see professor i found poliwag near lake and we started playing tag and i found a girl who was lost in the forest her name serena is who tripped and fell hurting her knee, so i went to her and helped her to the nurse joy cabin ash replied "and poliwag I'm so sorry for leaving you in the middle ,do you want to continue our game" ash asked poliwag

poliwag thinking it was the right thing to do at the given time forgave ash and it's not like ash treated him badly before leaving him the kid was actually nice and caring with that poliwag jumped out of professor arm and jumped onto ash head and said "poli poliwag poli"

"If that's the matter then it's fine , you're free to go and enjoy ash" professor oak replied in a calm caring tone

"i will play with poliwag professor i promised serena i will wait for her here " ash

"ash u wish ash don't do anything reckless" professor oak replied

"ok professor byeee" ash

Just then out of no where Gary came and started bragging about him being a winner and ash being a looser , that ash lost to gary again and started laughing arrogantly, If it was one of those time before then ash would've butted heads but this time his replied surprised gary and another girl who was approaching them

"Looks like the mighty gary oak wins again , with this rate you're going you won't even get 8 badges to face defeat in the hands of mighty gary" gary exclaimed arrogantly while smirking

"Congrats Gary ,but can you go now me and poliwag have a game to finish and we also made a new friend so i don't really care" Ash replied in a very calm tone

Gary seeing he couldn't get a reaction out of them just snorted and went off in his own way while the girl approached him and said "wow ash i have never seen you handle Gary this easily"

"maybe it's because I made a new friend , she's in nurse office right now " ash said " as soon as she's done let's meet her i also promised her to play with her "

"ok ash "leaf replied in her energetic bubbly way as she has no issues making new friends actually she loves making new friends

while this was doing on little serena was sitting on a stool , nurse joy had removed ash handkerchief and put it near table where serena sat while applying a proper bandage and telling her to " take it slow for today and it will be fine after tomorrow "

while this was going on serena looked through the windows and can see ash and poliwag with a girl her age all running and playing a game all this serena unknowingly grabbed the handkerchief ash gave her and clutched it and held it against her heart while thinking (ash really is something special)

"okay serena " nurse joy said breaking serena trance from looking outside " you're good to go now just remember what i told you and if you feel any discomfort don't be shy to come again and come back in 3 days to let me see if it healed ?" nurse joy finished

"ok nurse joy, thank you " little serena said while bowing her head a little

nurse joy giggled at serena antics before taking her hand and walking her out of the office as soon as nurse reached out of the office nurse joy saw ash nearby playing so decided to help serena a little

"hey ash , here's your little friend and she's fine just take it sure and make sure she doesn't walk too much today" nurse joy shouted a little while grabbing little serena hand this gained the attention of ash and the girl playing with him

"Ok nurse joy thank you " ash replied "ok guys let's meet serena she's shy but really nice " ash told poliwag and the girl (leaf) while running towards serena with the girl and poliwag

(nurse joy now went inside her office)

"hey serena " ash called out while reaching her , At the sound of his voice serena heart started beating faster --- serena asked herself why ? she doesn't know but enough about that as soon as serena saw ash face , she mouthed formed a big smile

"Hey ash " serena exclaimed, She didn't knew why she was normally shy but with ash it was different , she couldn't help herself

Ash then went on to introduce serena to leaf and poliwag tried to apologise serena again by jumping into her arms but serena got scared again , with a little reassurance from ash serena felt comfortable around poliwag and in the end poliwag ended up in serena arms as he found the spot very comfortable

(while this was going on grace was looking from afar , thankfully serena injury was small so grace was relieved ,initially grace was scared that due to her shy nature she won't be able to make friends and just enjoy the camp but maybe she was wrong ..Honestly grace thought she was sorry to do this to serena to move from a region where she spent her childhood , even leaving her twin sister and cousin behind but grace had to save serena )

slowly ash the group was about to go and sit in a spot under a tree , and just play some games together since nurse joy said serena needs to rest her leg for today and tomorrow, initially serena felt bad that her new friends are not enjoying only due to her and she tried to tell them to go and play but with another reassurance from leaf and ash that they do rather enjoy with their new friend with that the group started moving again sitting under the sun and enjoying their day

Over the few weeks the camp progressed as it was supposed to with serena , ash and leaf making an unbreakable bond , it was almost that you can find them together specially ash and serena . It was very eventful for them all

Slowly serena got to know gary and ash used to butt heads normally and ash soon as a punch is about to be thrown leaf goes into her firefighting mode , initially serena was jealous of leaf very much seeing how close they were ,but it all got fine slowly, although gary was never mean to her

again there was a day where serena confused drake for ash and that ended up in being her embarrassed, a little that happened was little serena went up to drake and said "hi ash when did you change your outfit " while smiling and finished with "and when did you started reading a book you were just outside"

and the reply she got was "ash is my younger brother go outside that idiot will be playing with a caterpie or something " all serena could do was bow thankfully and go wondering how both can be twins with soo different personality drake voice was not malicious but cold and emotionless and the way he said "ash" it sounded he hated his brother

Slowly little serena also knew she had a crush on ash at first she just kept rejected it but after a week she just accepted it and now if you think the whole pallet town knows it except for mister ash with slowbro ability oblivions, serena also knew ash and leaf were like brother and sister but it honestly did little to easy her jealous but she didn't show it as ash was usually with her too and she was fine with it

Although everyone made sure to tease little serena about ash which instantly resulted in her face getting red and blushing , Once ash actually took her to nurse joy thinking she was sick which ended up bringing more embarrassment to her while everyone had a good laugh at her and ash was just clueless as every

As time went on they all just waited for the faithful day they can start their journey ..................
