Cynthia ran towards Alex and hugged him and then started to cry....

She cried for hours. Alex then took the glass of water that he had filled earlier and gave it to her and asked her to drink it.

She drank it slowly. And as the house was so silent Alex could hear the voice of her slowly swallowing the water along her dried up and strained throat.

Then Alex said "Honey, tell me what happened there."

Cynthia cried again. Alex went towards her and cupped her face gently in his hands and said gently. "Sweetheart tell me what happened there slowly. There is no hurry. I am so terribly sorry that i wasnt there for you then."

Cynthia shed a few more tears and then went on to tell the whole story. She didnt even miss any details. She went on and on.

Alex had a great shock hearing everything, he immediately sat and tried to take a deep breath to relax but he couldn't.

Then at night when the couple was about to sleep, they heard scratching noises and talking.

They ran up into the room with courage. And since the house was old, the door opened with creaking noices which made their hearts thump faster.

Then slowly they took a peak inside Lily's room only to see that Lily was scratching her hands on the wall again. And whem they looked around they found pieces of broken nails amd broken glass pieces with blood on them.

They got scared and ran towards her and asked her why she was doing this and hurting herself again.

But she didn't answer instead she just turned her head and not her body and with the sharp nails she wounded herself and blood was bleeding and the whole room was having blood almost everywhere.

Cynthia asked "My beautiful flower why and what are you doing to yourself you are hurt! Wait here for a second, mother will bring u some bandaids for all the cuts, bruises and wounds that are there. Dear child, you shouldn't play like this. You are a delicate flower. Why do you want to break yourself my sweetheart?"

Lily just turned and glared at her and just moved her neck sideways making cracking noises which was scared Cynthia and Alex. But Cynthia's love for Lily was pure although she was doing the same thing that had happened earlier she wasn't ready to give up on her even though she was adopted.

Lily the answered "Your not my mother or my friend u don't have the right to call me flower or sweetheart only my best friend who is Chelsea tells me what to do who are you to tell me what I have to do and what I shouldn't do? I don't care who you people are but as Chelsea is my best friend she is like a mother to me and if she tells me to do anything, I will listen to her. She has been by my side since the time of my birth."

Alex intervened seeing the tears rolling down Cynthia's cheek. He couldn't bear it.

So he tried to talk to her and told "Lily, we want you to understand us. We will provide you with the love you never had. With a family you never had. With all the care that you never had. Just give us a chance to let you see that. Please.."

"No! All I want for me is for you both to runaway or just die. "

Well i must tell first that i have been receiving hate comments and well, of course it hurts. Because i am trying my best to give you a good story.

So anyway let me say that i haven't edited the book. So proceed with caution if your a grammar nazis. I am trying my level best to write in one go with no mistakes.

But now i have started editing. So, hoping that you will enjoy and continue the story i will tell you that i am going to edit slowly only and it will be re-edited once again.
