Nothing's like a good old argument with BlogClan's deputy, am I right? XD

10. We rarely saw Rowanclaw, so we can't judge him like that. He's had so few opportunities to impress us, although I like Russetfur a bit, I'm rooting for Rowanstar,
9. YES I LOVE HER. When I was reading the first two books (where I last ended lol) she didn't seem quite like the stereotypical ShadowClan cat, which says something to me, since she was the first leader.
8. I agree... so what if she had more kits than most? Jeez.
7. That's how I am with Mousewhisker.
6. I loved him sooo much... I think I rather a SE on him than Bluestar... lol too bad we know his story already.
5. I agree with you for the most part, but the only way I see her as underrated is when people say she took Millie away from the other two... not her fault she was loyal to Longtail.
4. No comment. XD
3. She wasn't and isn't hated for having many kits... it's her pettiness, which is somewhat understandable, and the whole warrior name still bugs me, but I don't complain.
2. I agree, but he didn't have to go that far... maybe just wound her.
1. Okay. I'm going to take this slow, for my sake. I liked her in Graystripe's mini manga series... after she had kits, though, I lost all interest. She was cool, a talented warrior, and to me, she refused a warrior name, although I think she deserves it more than some apprentices do, and that was kind of... odd... to me. Then, she just kind of lost all that "bad girl" taste, and she started getting all freaked out with Briarlight, which is somewhat understandable, but she gave little attention to Bumblestripe & Blossomfall, which bothers me...

Nice article, though, Ebonygaze!

What's wrong with a cat not taking a warrior name if they're proud of the name they already have? Daisy liked her name, why should she have to give it up? Same with Millie, and Brook. Just because they aren't warrior names doesn't make them any less honorable or names to be any less proud of or happy with.

SundanceDecember 26, 2016 at 6:06 pm I'm fine with characters not having warriors names, but I wouldn't want it to happen too often in the series (which it doesn't, so we're all good. ) Also, I can see why clanmates would be somewhat against it since "you cannot live with a paw in each world," and they can be pretty thickheaded and single-minded when it comes to following traditions. These days I think they're more tolerant of kittypets, thankfully. Imagine if Firestar had wanted to stay as Rusty, though. It would have further isolated him and may have even gotten him killed back then. (Fully in support of Millie and Daisy and etc. names. Nothing wrong with them! ) Just wouldn't want overuse + some situations may require them to change.Jay Frost Nipping at Your NoseDecember 26, 2016 at 6:55 pm

I dunno, as much as I love warrior names, I find it fun when newcomers choose to keep their old names. And I know what you're saying with the Clans being traditional, and honestly pretty prejudiced against any cat that isn't Clanborn. But as long as someone is loyal to the Clan, it shouldn't matter what their name is, and they should be allowed to be proud of where they come from. And I dunno, a warrior named Rusty or Shirley would be cool. ^^

Also, when was Daisy petty?

I think I, and others, see her as petty because of the whole thing where she stayed a permanent queen. And I don't fully disagree with them keeping their names, but Millie just... I don't know, I think she really deserves her warrior name, and when she said no... idk, really. I can't explain it.

Jay Frost Nipping at Your NoseDecember 26, 2016 at 6:58 pm

How is it petty? She still works hard for the Clan, and not every cat is meant to be a warrior. There's nothing wrong with not choosing the life of a warrior. And yeah, Millie deserved a warrior name, but she was proud of the name she was given as a kittypet. She shouldn't have to give up the name her house folk gave her, or look on that name as somehow more shameful or not deserving as a warrior name. As cool as it would be to see her warrior name, I thought it was really cool when she, Daisy, and Brook stood up for cats being proud of their name, wherever it came from, and of being proud of where you came from.

Well, in my mind, Brook would never have to change her name, she's part of a Tribe, & never actually was a part of the Clan like a full warrior. I have some ideas in my head of why I believe she's a bit petty- I think it's great that she still helps her Clan in every way she can, despite not fighting. Petty doesn't mean bad. I don't want to continue whatever this is. I stated my opinion, now it's out there, I'm satisfied. Millie can be proud of her name & what-not, but I will always think she still deserves her warrior name... perhaps she would have been accepted easier. Maybe that's what's wrong with the whole name thing, but that's how Clan cats are set aside from others, a part of why, anyways, & having a warrior name should make you feel proud, too. I'm sure Millie would've loved her warrior name- but I think most (people) wouldn't be as mean to her if she had that name. I'll always want her to have that name... I also agree completely with Sundance.
Peace.

:) lol Jayfrost & I argue often on BlogClan... go onto any page, really. XD
