Chapter 1: The writer
Rachel sat at her computer typing away trying to create a story part for her next book. "Soul Mate Centuries". The current writers block she was having was driving her insane.
"Come on Rachel" she said thinking out loud to herself as she continued to write the plot to her story. At least that was until she heard his voice again run straight through her head. Lately she had been watching the news feed for Conrad Williams activity. She could not help but be worried for the actor. Who to her seemed like such a nice person, not to mention attractive. She had hoped he was alright and constantly worried about him even if she never met him before. As she was thinking on what to type she heard a familiar voice.
"Who are you?"
Blinking in surprise Rachel answered the that in her head with a small response "My name....." she hesitated "Its Rachel" she said responding the voice in her head. Which sounded so very familiar.
"So Rachel are you truly a being or are you an illusion of my mind?"
Rachel sighed again before replying "I am real ..." she replied "why wouldn't I be?" she suddenly realized who she was speaking to and gasped a bit.
"Well if you are only an illusion of my mind you are a very kind one dear Rachel"
"I enjoy being kind to every person I meet" she replied blushing a bit red but keeping her composure at the sound of Conrad's voice in her head.
"And where might you be lady of illusion?" the voice of the actor replied lightly in Rachel's head as she rubbed her temples.
"I am in the United States.....California to be exact" she replied being both discrete as possible in case this was an illusion of her mind. "I must go to bed now....Conrad I still hope you are well..." she replied and suddenly as soon as she had thought it his voice
As she thought about it she leaned her head against her closed laptop.
"Urgh I am finally losing it." Rachel sighed as she looked at her screen and sighed. "Why can't I get this part right?" she thought out loud as she tried again typing the words to her story.
Mao held Maria in his strong arms as he smirked a bit amused at the woman's resistance and challenging nature. He had yet to meet another being in this universe that made his blood heat passed its boiling point and yet his thoughts had been about nothing but her. Her scent filling his lungs. Her cocky nature, he couldn't help but be attracted to the confident young woman as he noticed the blush that formed on her face. "You are indeed interesting darling" the devil smirked as he held onto his prize. "I think I will keep you."
Rachel suddenly blushed at the words she wrote onto the document mentally re-reading the words as she continued. "Wow.....just.....no words....heh I stunned myself." she thought as she continued the story.
Maria blushed as Mao held her in his arms but refusing to let her guard down. "Your not gonna rip my spine out if I actually let my guard down for a moment? Or any other part of my being like my soul or something." she quietly responded to him.
Mao chuckled as he trailed a claw up the females neck. "Heh clever as well you know your demons."
Maria chuckled "Can't survive in this place unless you do." she said turning even redder. Oddly enough she did love Mao she just didn't say it out loud. In fact she kept that thought to the furthest corners of her mind.
Turning red in the face herself as she wrote the words Rachel stretched out and yawned. "Nope time to sleep." she said as she looked to the time on her laptop which read 11:25 pm.
"Shit....I need to get to bed." she said as she closed her laptop and smiled a bit. In reality she was happy to be able to write and overcome her writers block.
"Heh. I don't know if that was you or not Conrad but thank you." with that thought in mind the writer closed her laptop for the day and got ready for bed ending her day.
Unbeknownst to her though, that fate had a different plan in store for the twenty five year old writer.
